Background: In small animal healthcare fluid therapy is an important area. To get an adequate treatment there are several factors that may play important roles in this matter. One of these factors is the correct use of the administration technique.
Aim: The aim was to investigate how correct the amount of prescribed fluid was given when different people set up a fluid administration set.
Method: An experimental study was performed to compare two different infusion techniques.

Background: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a term that has become increasingly prominent in the corporate world. As the awareness of responsibly produced products is growing among both companies and consumers, it has become increasingly important for companies to get involved in sustainability issues. There may be several reasons why companies choose to integrate CSR in their business, where one reason may be related to company size. In the business category of micro, there is currently no widespread research, which makes this company size interesting to study. The choice of industry was made because coffee is one of the world's most important merchandise, and the coffee industry has come a long way with integrating CSR in comparision to many other industries.Purpose and research question: The purpose of this study is to create a deeper understanding of why coffee roasters in the business category of micro enterprises choose to incorporate CSR in their businesses.

The purpose of this thesis was to highlight how different aspects of market communication are used when micro companies choose to use both Internet and store selling activities towards the consumer market. The thesis dealt with off-line and on-line communication considerations with focus on advertising, interactions, and relations. In order to achieve this purpose a case study was conducted, that revealed that the companies acted according to theories. The conclusions drawn from the thesis were that companies tended to rely on traditional ways of dealing with advertising and interaction. We could also see that relations were created as a result of unconscious behavior and that the Internet activities still were on a basic level..

This paper intends to show how micro- and small businesses in the tourism and experience industry makes use of social media as a marketing tool. The study also shows the possibilities for businesses to market themselves to customers through social media. Small businesses usually don?t have the same conditions or the same marketing resources that larger companies have. For small businesses that lack marketing resources, social media is a great addition to marketing since the technology around social media is relatively simple.

Advertisers of today are facing a great challenge in a landscape where it becomes even more difficult to break through the clutter and convince consumers to buy their products. In order to succeed, they need to come up with new ways of communicating with their customers. The purpose of this paper is to investigate if micro-blogging could be considered an effective media choice in order to enhance the perception of brand associations and traditional communication effects. The subject is of interest as brands are putting increasingly more resources into this communication channel. However, at the current date the marketing effects of micro-blogging is unexplored in academic research.
Controllern : Bönräknare eller företagspartner?
Denna studie behandlar controllern och dess roll. Då controllerrollen upplevs som väldigt diffus är syftet att förtydliga vad en controller är genom att använda begreppen bönräknare och företagspartner. Den teoretiska referensramen tar upp teorier från centrala författare inom området, bland annat Lindvall, Mattsson, Frenckner och Samuelson. Studien är en kvalitativ studie och utfördes på Saab AB i Arboga. Totalt åtta stycken djupintervjuer genomfördes med både controllers och icke-controllers för att på detta sätt kunna få en djupare förståelse för controllerrollen.

The aim of our study is to explore the empowerment process among micro-business owners in Kayamandi, a black township of Stellenbosch in South Africa. What are the positive and negative implications for the empowerment process? Another aim is to find out the role of local and international support in this process. The theoretical framework of this study revolves around the concepts of gender, power and empowerment. Our methods are qualitative interviews and observations.

This paper was part of the ongoing cooperation between the Swedish Civil Aviation Authority and the Department of Psychology at Lund University. The purpose of this study was to develop a self-report measure regarding human factors, for the air traffic controllers to fill out before they start their working shift. This in order to aid the team leaders in their judgment regarding the air traffic controller's ability to perform at the right safety level. The self-report measure would also serve as an aid for the air traffic controllers who have a responsibility regarding their own performance. If successful this self-report measure would make it easier for the air traffic controllers to be alert regarding certain factors that can have a large impact on their performance.

Due to increasing regulations regarding new diesel vehicles particulate matteremissions the new Scania truck, Scania Euro 6, has been equipped with a particulatefilter. This component effectively stores the particles in the exhaust gas but must becleaned in order to prevent itself from clogging. The filter is cleaned through aprocess named regeneration which is a thermodynamic process in which thetemperature of the filter is raised through fuel supplied to the exhaust gas.The purpose of this thesis is to contribute to the development of improved controlstrategies of the temperature during the regeneration process through thedevelopment of model-based controllers. These controllers are designed in order tohave good performance in stationary as well as automatic regeneration.In order to develop these model-based controllers a model of the system isconstructed. The model is described as a linear thermodynamic grey-box model withflow varying parameters, showing good results in validation.The model provides a simulation environment during the controller design, which isfocused around the development of linear regulators with the exhaust gas mass flowas a scheduling variable whose size determines controllers? mode of operation.
En indirekt metod för adaptiv reglering av en helikopter
When a helicopter is flying, the dynamics vary depending on, for example, speed and position. Hence, a time-invariant linear model cannot describe its properties under all flight conditions. It is therefore desirable to update the linear helicopter model continuously during the flight. In this thesis, two different recursive estimation methods are presented, LMS (Least Mean Square) and adaptation with a Kalman filter. The main purpose of the system estimation is to get a model which can be used for feedback control.

The purpose of this assignment is to develop a process water purifier. The purifier should be applicable as an option to ABB I-R?s production cell Cutting-Box. At first hand the process water should be purified well enough to let out in the municipal sewage system, but the ultimate solution is purifying the process water to the range that recycling is possible.

Uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka hur controllerns roll ser ut i ett stort tjänsteföretag samt hur denna samverkar med chefer på den operativa nivån. Vidare studeras även vilket inflytande controllern har på den operativa nivåns arbete. Studien bygger på intervjuer med controllern och ekonomidirektören på PayEx Solutions, ett företag som utvecklar elektroniska betalningslösningar. Därutöver har en enkätundersökning besvarats av chefer på den operativa nivån inom företaget.Controllerns uppgifter är inte väldefinierad i litteraturen och den har idag många olika arbetsuppgifter beroende på vilket företag som den är verksam i. De olika förväntningarna personer inom en organisation har på controllern påverkar också controllerns roll.

Controllern i svensk praktik ? En kvantitativ studie av en profession i förändring
Syfte: Att kartlägga samt analysera förändringar inom ekonomistyrningsområdet avseende controllerns roll, arbetsområde och styrmedel i svensk praktik Metod: En webb-baserad enkät skickades ut till 1000 controller i Sverige. Enkäten var utformad som en replikat från studien av Scapens et al (2002). Kvantitativa och statistiska metoder användes vid bearbetning av materialet Teoretiska perspektiv: Vi utgår ifrån att externa strukturella processer, s.k. förändringsdrivare, utvecklade av Lukka och Granlund (1998), som genom ekonomiska, normativa och tvingande tryck, samt efterliknelseprocesser, skapar homogeniserande praktiker i controllerns arbete. Slutsats:Några signifikanta skillnader mellan service- och industrisektorn i Sverige avseende controllerrollen, arbetsområdet och styrmedel kunde inte verifieras.

When investigating the different principle of purifying water, a research of
different products and their manufactories was done.
These different products were compared and the principle of filtration was the
most applicable, as most of the products were designed for far larger
applications.
As the process water contains quite large amount of particles, it is necessary
to perform the filtration in different steps.
The process water purifier is therefore composed of a module of coarse
filtration and one of micro filtration.
In the module of coarse filtration the mainly amount of fibres and particles
are eliminated. They are kept back in the container unit with the larger
fragments and dumped with these when the container is emptied.
In the module of micro filtration the filtration is performed in two steps.
In the first step particles larger than 50?m are eliminated, in the second step
the micro filter is setting the range of purifying, in this case 10?m.
