The purpose of this study is to look into how detained swedish juveniles, in the ages between 15 an 20, experience time in custody. The primary questions are; To what exctent do juveniles understand their situation? To what exctent can juveniles handle their situation? Do the juveniles find meaning in their situation and if so, what aspects of the detention is considered meaningful? The study is based on seven qualitative interviews with young men detained at a youth custody ward at Kronobergshäktet in Stockholm. The theory used to analyze the interview results is Antonovskys theory of sence of coherence (SOC). A salient feature in the young mens experiences was that all of them had the ability to regard some of the aspects of the detention as meaningful.

Through this thesis I aimed to further investigate how we can adapt our western and modern views of masculinity and femininity in an ancient population, here on the Pitted Ware population from Ajvide on Gotland. A questionnaire survey was used to compile the modern view of masculinity and femininity. This modern view was then compared with patterns which had become visible through statistical processing of the burial gifts found on Ajvide. The thesis is mainly focused around the concept of gender, but age and status have also been discussed. Through several performed correspondence analysis, it became clear that the current view of male and female differed from the one that became visible in the archaeological record.

The main purpose of this masters thesis is to investigate how male public librarians experience working in a female-dominated area by interviewing eight male public librarians. We want to find if our informants have experienced, or are experiencing, that the library users react differently to the male librarians, as opposed to the female librarians, with focus on possible prejudices. Besides this we want to investigate if the male librarians have had any reactions from their colleagues based on the fact that they are men working in a female profession. The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine subject positions of masculinity in the fantasy novels by Michael Moorcock, spanning from the sixties to the present. Questions are: Which positions of masculinity dominate in four fantasy works by Michael Moorcock? How do these positions differ from each other or are there similarities? Do they strengthen or undermine the hegemonic masculinity? How do these positions of masculinity relate to historic configurations of masculinity? In order to find feasible answers to these questions I have used a theoretical and methodological approach rooted in the sociology of literature, mens studies and discourse analysis. Different masculinities are defined as subject positions. The hegemonic masculinity is defined as the image of masculinity that dominate and that every man has to relate to, in one way or another.

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to examine how young womens sexuality is described in Swedish youth novels. The analysis is based upon eight books of which four were published during the period from 1970 to 1975 and four books were published during 2000 to 2005. The theoretical framework is based on a gender theoretical perspective where Yvonne Hirdmans theories about a gender system and Ylva Elwin-Nowaks and Heléne Thomssons ideas about gender construction are crucial. Also Anthony Giddens theories about sexuality in the late modern society are used, where the plastic sexuality and the pure relationship are central ideas. The method is based upon textual analysis, and a model of analysis is constructed with its basis in the theoretical attempt.

Företag kan använda sig av balanserade styrkort för att få ner organisationens övergripande mål i mindre delar. En fördel med det är att de anställda blir mer involverade och motiverade till att göra ett bra arbete. Styrkortet består av flera styrtal som mäter olika prestationer. Sie-mens Industrial Turbomachinery AB, även kallat SIT AB, använder sig av balanserade styrkort och har även ett antal styrtal på individnivå på avdelningen MIP. I dagsläget är inte de styrtalen tillförlitliga och därför fick vi i uppdrag av SIT AB att undersöka hur arbetet med individuella styrtal kan förbättras.Syftet med studien är att beskriva hur MIP, en av de strategiska inköpsavdelningarna på SIT AB, arbetar med individuella styrtal idag, identifiera deras problem med individuella styrtal samt att utveckla lösningar till problemen.Vi har pratat med anställda på en av SIT AB:s strategiska inköpsavdelningar, fått skriftlig dokumentation tilldelade samt hittat relevanta teorier och det är de källorna som har utgjort grunden för vårt examensarbete.

Syftet med studien var att lyfta fram några problem med simundervisningen eftersom vissa elever vägrar att delta i undervisningen. Observationer gjorda under tidigare VFU-perioder samt erfarenheter under den egna skolgången har gjort författarna medvetna om problemet. Författarnas hypotes när de startade studien var att särundervisning skulle får fler elever att vilja delta i simundervisningen. Intervjuer genomfördes på en högstadieskola i Skåne med elva elever med ca 50 % frånvaro från simundervisningen och en lärare. Huvudresultatet av studien visar att eleverna på skolan som undersökts uppger de verkliga skälen för att inte delta på simlektionerna till läraren och deras frånvaro verkar inte ha påverkat deras betyg.

Dagens varslingsrutiner er en vel innarbeidet rutine som går i en kjede fra den som først oppdager skredfaren till att vegen stengs. Dette er en rutine som fungerer godt og trenger ingen forandring. Når det gjelder beredskapsplanenes utforming så er funksjonskontraktene for Tromsø og for Lyngen, heretter bare kalt Tromsø og Lyngen, nesten like. Det som skiller seg ut er att vedleggsdelen i Tromsø er bedre skrevet enn den som finnes i Lyngen. I vedleggsdelen i Lyngen er det byggelederen som er ansvarlig for vurderingsprosessen og for dokumentasjon osv., mens det i Tromsø er entreprenøren som har ansvaret for dette.
