HAFA Bathroom Group has given us the assignment to develop a standardized back panel for their bathroom cabinets. This cabinet is going to be applied to most of their current and future cabinet solutions. To this point, they have constructed unique suspensions-and back panels for most of their cabinet models. They have also been forced to pull wiring and assemble the cabinets differently because of factors like; position of the wall sockets, dimensions of the cabinets and their shapes.The company wants to distance themselves from their current solution, firstly because the cost of having manpower to design each individual suspension solution, secondly because they will save a lot of money when the manufacturing process requires a minimum of components to be constructed. As a result of this, the company can use their resources better to develop future products.The main idea is that the consumer isn?t required to change the suspension or back panel when they decide to buy a new cabinet.

Before the European construction standards were introduced in January 2011, it was mainly themethod in BBK04 that was used for calculating punching capacity in concrete structures, and in lesscommon cases the method in BHB. The method of BBK04 is easy to use and have had the samestructure since the first was published in 1979. The Concrete handbook method (BHB) where usuallyonly used when a higher punching capacity was needed and the cross-sectional height where fixed,calculations using this method entails more work, but will in return usually give a higher capacity. Italso allows the use of shear reinforcement to increase the cross-section capacity. The method ofcalculating punching shear in EC2 differs largely from the methods of BBK04 and BHB.

This essay is about the history of the Swedish board game-industry from the 1970?s to today. The essay focuses on the companies in the business and how they change during this period and about the causes of this change. This essay aims both at accurately describing the development of the industry as well as asking the question of what influence factors from outside of the industry have upon the change during this period of time. The material used in this essay is mainly extracts from interviews with people who have been working in the industry during the period, as well as literature on the subject and product-catalogues from certain years in the time-frame.From this material I have outlined the basic history of the industry.

During the years of development in the 60s and 70s the need for new housing in Sweden arose. Sweden was going to be the most modern country in the world. This period has later been called ?the time of the big programmes?. One of the parts in this building of a welfare society was a large policy of building politics with few counterparts in history.

The construction industry stands as one of the industries in Sweden where most employees tend to encounter accidents. At the same time, the Swedish authority of work environment estimates that there are large numbers of hidden statistics with accidents and incidents that never gets reported. To prevent accidents, the Swedish authority of work environment has decided that every company have to, beside report every accident and major incident to the authority of work environment, keep statistics and evaluate every incident that happens at their places of work.The people responsible for work environment at the Swedish building contractor Peab, believe that it is only a fraction of all incidents happening at their construction sites that actually gets reported. The purpose of this study is to investigate the reason why employees of Peab do not report incidents. By an inquiry and interviews with both craftsmen and office holders at Peab Bygg Öst 1, the employees? attitudes and knowledge have been studied and evaluated.The study shows that the craftsmen´s knowledge of incidents is relatively low.

Globaliseringen och den ökade konkurrensen ställer större krav på företagen vilket har medfört att arbetet med logistik har utvecklats från att enbart förknippas med transporter av varor till att idag förknippas med effektiva flöden inom hela försörjningskedjan. Flödena inom försörjningskedjan består av material-, betalnings- och informationsflöden, där det finns en stark koppling mellan alla tre. En väsentlig skillnad mellan de tre flödena är att materialflöde och betalningsflöde representerar kapitalbindning i motsats till informationsflöde som inte hanterar ett direkt ekonomiskt värde. Det bidrar ofta till att informationsflödet förbises i effektiviseringsprocesser. Eftersom ett informationsflöde kan stå för avgörande indirekta värden är det en viktig pusselbit för att försörjningskedjan skall kunna nyttja sina resurser optimalt.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka hur Jan Firbas (1992)variant av Pragskolan, också känd som functional sentence perspective(funktionellt satsperspektiv, FSP), kan användas vid en analys avtextbindning. Tanken med att applicera Firbas, som huvudsakligen harsatsen som största analysenhet, på en text, är att därigenom kunna påvisaett formellt samband mellan sats- och textnivå.I kapitel 4 och 5 presenteras Firbas teori genom en praktisk steg-försteg-analys av en text. Syftet med detta är, förutom att presentera Firbas,också att visa hur jag praktiskt gått tillväga vid analysen av de feminledande styckena i August Strindbergs Röda Rummet, som legat tillgrund för resultaten och diskussionen i kapitel 6 respektive 7.Analysmetoden som visas i kapitel 5 på ett kortare textstycke är alltsåsamma metod jag använt mig av i analysen av Röda Rummet. Någracentrala begrepp är distributionsfält, dynamiska semantiska funktioner,kommunikativ dynamism, tema, transition och rema.I avsnitt 5.4. tar jag även upp ett problem som teorin har med attskilja mellan de dynamiska semantiska funktionerna Setting ochSpecifikation, ett fenomen som av Firbas kallas potentialitet.

The language in itself has the power to revolt against and undermine current and dominant hierarchies. This language can also be of a passive nature, accepting existing norms and dichotomies. This paper has the ambition to examine the language, the voice, of Clarice Lispector in her novel A Hora da Estrela (The Hour of the Star).The theoretical horizon from which I will read The Hour of the Star is that of Hélène Cixous, which can be expressed through the term écriture féminine.

Sedan stor del av den industriella produktionen flyttat från västvärlden till låglöneländer har det blivit en aktuell fråga hur vi omhändertar de övergivna industriområden som lämnats kvar. En trend som vuxit sig stark är att omvandla industrimiljöerna till nya miljöprofilerade parkområden och stadsdelar, som Hammarby Sjöstad i Stockholm och Västra Hamnen i Malmö. I detta examensarbete söker jag förklaringar till varför vi väljer att använda ?ekologiska? koncept och lösningar när de gamla industrimiljöerna ska omvandlas och hur detta kommer till uttryck i landskapsarkitekturen. Med utgångspunkt i miljödiskussionen sedan sextiotalet och västerländsk natursyn drar jag paralleller mellan vår förändrade syn på industri, hur miljökrisen ska lösas och ekologiskt inriktade landskapsarkitekturprojekt. Sedan miljökrisen blivit ett faktum och miljöfrågor fått en central plats i politik och samhällsplanering har också synen på industri förändrats. Från att ha symboliserat framtidstro och välfärd har vi börjat betrakta den gamla industrin som ett direkt hot mot människans och jordens existens.

Den svenska byggbranschen står i nuläget inför en stor teknisk förändring, införandet av Bygg-informationsmodeller(BIM)/Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) i stor skala. Branschens olika aktörer ser olika vinster med implementeringen som kommer påverka hela byggprocessen, från projektering till förvaltning. Denna studie fokuserar på organisation och process i projekteringsskedet och grundar sig på en fallstudie av Veidekke Entreprenad AB. Företaget har implementerat VDC i delar av organisationen och i nuläget, efter lyckade pilotprojekt, utvidgas satsningen och implementering görs i större skala. Studiens syfte är att kartlägga Veidekkes VDC-mål och strategier, för att därefter studera process och organisation i projekteringsfasen och hur de bör utvecklas för att skapa goda förutsättningar för att VDC-målen ska kunna uppfyllas.

Detta examensarbete är utfört vid Sandvik Materials Technology i Sandviken, avdelning SFLD under perioden december 2005 ? april 2006. Uppgiften i examensarbetet var att skapa en parametriserad finita element modell i programmet MSC.Marc Mentat för rörbockning, primärt för simulering av små bockningsradier Syftet med modellen är att kunna studera restspänningar, töjningar, ovalisering, återfjädring och förändringar i godstjocklek för det bockade röret ur ett tredimensionellt perspektiv för att skapa en djupare teoretisk förståelse för vad som sker med ett rör då det bockas. Modellen ska även fungera som ett verktyg för att kunna svara på kundförfrågningar, gällande ett specifikt materials bockbarhet. Modellen är utvecklad för dragbockning i kallt tillstånd, vilket är den bockningsmetod som används inom Sandvik AB för små bockningsradier.

This essay includes the planning and designing of a house as well as writing a rapport about howto increase fire safety in small buildings.More than 6000 homes burn in Sweden every year (Brandskyddsföreningen, 2012c). Thedevastation and the costs are usually very high. This report examines possible measures to reduceboth personal injuries and economic losses resulting from house fires in small buildings.Swedishbuilding regulationsplay a major role when it comes to constructional fire safety. However therequirements inSwedish building regulations are very low for small buildings and this is anargument for raising the requirements.The report shows and describes possible methods to build safer with regards to fire in terms ofmaterials and different building structures. Major focus has been on fire cells but other solutionsare also examined and described.

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to examine how young womens sexuality is described in Swedish youth novels. The analysis is based upon eight books of which four were published during the period from 1970 to 1975 and four books were published during 2000 to 2005. The theoretical framework is based on a gender theoretical perspective where Yvonne Hirdmans theories about a gender system and Ylva Elwin-Nowaks and Heléne Thomssons ideas about gender construction are crucial. Also Anthony Giddens theories about sexuality in the late modern society are used, where the plastic sexuality and the pure relationship are central ideas. The method is based upon textual analysis, and a model of analysis is constructed with its basis in the theoretical attempt.
