Syftet med studien var att undersöka om det finns något samband mellan äldres socioekonomiska position och det goda åldrandet i form av livstillfredsställelse, välbefinnande, livskvalitet samt känsla av sammanhang. Jag studerade även hur ovanstående samband såg ut när män och kvinnor analyserades separat, respektive när man använde olika mått på socioekonomisk position. De mått på socioekonomisk position som användes var inkomst, kontantmarginal, socialklass och utbildning. En kvantitativ metod användes och materialet var SWEOLD från 1992. Urvalet var ett riksrepresentativt slumpmässigt urval, och antal medverkande var 537 personer i åldern 77-99 år.

Globalization has among other tendencies led to the emergence of new ways of doing business. One of the ways for organizations to meet the demands of a new competitive landscape has been through management accounting change, a field which has become increasingly popular in research. This paper builds on that research and seeks to investigate the case of the implementation of a new management accounting system in a Swedish company which was triggered by strategic change. Det förekommer hållningsmönster som kan leda till problem från nacke och axlar. Ett hållningsmönster med hög muskelaktivitet i övre trapezius (ÖT) är ofta förknippat med nack- och skuldersmärta. Därför var det relevant att göra en experimentell hållningskorrigeringsstudie för att studera eventuella förändringar i muskelaktiviteten i ÖT. Syftet med studien var att undersöka om en korrigering av axlarnas position har betydelse för muskelaktiviteten i ÖT när armarna hålls i tre olika positioner framför kroppen, samt beskriva muskelaktiviteten i dessa positioner. Tio personer med hopsjunken hållning och nack- eller axelproblem deltog i studien.

At Flight and Systems test Saab AB, a post-processing software is used to process GPS data. A new software by the name GrafNav has been purchased and the purpose of this master thesis therefore became, partly to make a judgment regarding GrafNav?s ability to estimate position, velocity and accuracy, partly to if needed improve the estimate and finally find one or several methods to estimate the position and velocity accuracy. The judgment of GrafNav was performed partly by a comparison to the former post-processing software (PNAV) and partly by a comparison to the airplane?s inertial navigation system (INS).

The law firm industry has during the last years met new demanding conditions and one tool to handle these new conditions has been to implement a Knowledge Management system. Large investments have been made in these Knowledge Management systems but the implementations have met many challenges from within the organizations.With a multiple study, based on interviews with Knowledge Management Managers included in a Knowledge Management network, this thesis aims to study the challenges with Knowledge Management and the underlying causes. The result, based on McDermott's theories shows challenges within technical, personal, social and management areas where the law firm need to shift a focus from Information to Knowledge Management, create a culture of trust and integration and use the informal powerbase.The causes for these challenges are found in the base of Mintzbergs theories of Professional bureaucracy where the Knowledge Management is affected by strong self-regulated individualist, a divided organizational structure and industry conditions..

The purpose of this study was to identify the positive and negative aspects of the work and dynamics of a management team and from that recommend how the team can improve. The aim was also to investigate whether there was a gap between how the members of the management team comprehend themselves and how the project, section and team managers comprehend the management team. The management team contains of seven core team members and is the head function of a research and development site in central Sweden. The results are based on interviews with the present members of the management team and three former members, a survey among the project, section and team managers and by participating observation on meetings with the team. The results show that the management team is an overall well-functioning team that with some changes and improvements, especially concerning communication and information, can reach even further.

An Interoperable Fare Management system for public transport has been a struggle for the actors in industry of public transport. A lot of effort has been put into creating a smart card solution that enables the travellers to use the same card for paying and holding the ticket regardless geographical position in Sweden. That project has failed, mostly due to a lack of taking non-technical actors and aspects into consideration during the project process. This thesis highlights the major actors and their responsibilities. The ARKTRANS framework is used as analytical tool to identify different roles. Throughout the thesis a sociotechnical perspective is used. The developed method in this thesis is suitable for mapping of actors and responsibilities in a network surrounding a complex technical system.
