Dagens företag verkar på en föränderlig marknad med allt hårdare konkurrens som företagen måste kunna anpassa sig till. Detta har medfört att dagens traditionella styrsystem har ifrågasatts. Enligt kritikerna är det inte anpassat för den snabbt föränderliga omgivning som är ett faktum i dagens företagsekonomiska miljö. Budgeten är det vanligast förekommande styrsystemet i svenska företag och har under lång tid haft ett starkt fäste. Fler och fler företag överger numer budgeten till förmån för budgetlös styrning.

This thesis aims at analyzing why the municipality of Flen, in the eastern part of Sweden, has experienced strong depopulation for the last forty years in spite of its relative vicinity to Stockholm. The study uses current theories on regional developement, population theory and theories on regional enlargment to help explain and to evaluate the different regional factors that affect the developement of Flen on the local level. The thesis is primarily focused on the subject of regional policy and strategies to meet regional depopulation. The study also gives a presentation of the strategies of major regional institutions as well as analyzing what impact regional policy have on local policy in the municipality of Flen.Interviews with local officials, politicians and other people representing the population of Flen were carried out to achieve a better understanding of the specific challenges that the municipality faces and of the measures that are taken to meet them. Regional policy in Sweden prioritises measures that promote regional enlargment to link the housing and labour markets together with the regional infrastructure.

Purpose: Our purpose is to achieve a higher understanding of which factors University of Uppsala is using to attract and keep their existing workers.Theory: We have worked with Barrow & Mosley's the employer brand mix, this modelexplains 12 important factors that exists within the employer branding process. External reputation, internal communication, the board, values and corporate social responsibility, internalmeasuring systems, service support, work environment, rewards and acknowledgements, learningand development, performance estimation, team management and recruitment and introduction.Method: To achieve an understanding of our subject we have chosen to work with a qualitativemethod. This type of method is more considerate of the interviewed person?s way of seeingthings and also accounts for how the person answers. To answer our problem statement we haveconducted a case study on University of Uppsala where we used semi structured interviewsbecause we wanted to limit the risk of leading questions.Empirical findings: University of Uppsala were used as material for our empirical discussionContext: The main reasons that workers is attracted to and are staying at the university dependson the external status they achieve when working there, this combined with that the workers getsto be a part of the university's brand.

Uppbyggandet av ett varumärke är en process som ständigt pågår i ett företag. Litteraturen visar på olika strategier för att bygga varumärken, men nästan uteslutande bygger forskningen på stora företag. Stora företag planerar varje år en budget för vad de skall satsa på olika marknadsföringsaktiviteter, detta är något som mindre företag oftast inte gör då de inte har samma resurser i form av pengar som stora företag. Mindre företag utgör 96,2% av alla företag i Sverige och bygger därför upp en stor del av den svenska ekonomin. Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka hur mindre företag går tillväga för att bygga upp ett starkt varumärke.

The work presented in this report is written at IEIs department on Linköping Institute of Technology. The report aims to increase the assembly efficiency at Wigells AB. The report shall be used as a guide for the implementation of changes at other workstations in the company. Together with Träcentrum in Nässjö, Wigells AB has identified the needs of this study and contacted IEI at Linköping Institute of Technology.In order to implement an efficient assembly line at the company, studies on lean production have been made. This theory has been studied and together with our own views and findings at the company we have analyzed the assembly area.Wigells is a small company that manufactures wood furniture.

Many companies are currently working to optimize and streamline their processes and production lines to achieve higher profitability. In increasingly competitive markets, companies are working to find solutions to increase the value of their production with such a small use of resources as possible. A tool used to accomplish this is the Lean management system. Lean comes from the production system that Toyota has been developing since the early 1900's, The Toyota Production System (TPS). The Lean philosophy helps companies, by working towards continuous improvement in its operations, to achieve higher customer satisfaction, more efficient production and ultimately higher profitability. Many companies are working to implement Lean in their organization. But there are many who fail to implement a complete change towards Lean.

This study consists of a literature study and a survey in Tamil Nadu, India. The aim of the study was to get an understanding of horse feeding in tropical climates and what kind of feeding related problems that could occur because of the fodder. Information and data were collected from eight different stables and from Tamil Nadu University of Agriculture in the region of Tamil Nadu in March-April 2009. The horses in Tamil Nadu were given rice straw, unknown grass, Cynodon dactylon, lucerne, maize, Pennisetum glaucum x Pennisetum purpureum hybrid and Chloris gayana as roughage. As concentrates, the horses were given wheat bran, oats, barley, soybean meal, maize, carrots, coconut cake, peanut cake, horse gram and chick pea.

My essay is about the latter period of Anne Charlotte Leffler?s authorship. In Part I of my essay, I describe her path from the 1880s, where she described femininity as a shortcoming, as writes Ingeborg Nordin-Hennel, towards the 1890s and towards describing femininity as a possibility. This development took place on two levels ? on an outer level, where all the woman writers in the late 1880s were influenced and where they were pushed out by the male writers, and on an inner level with Leffler herself.Her late literary works depict new and more independent types of women, and eroticism is given a more prominent position.

This master thesis is commissioned by Permobil AB. The report describes thoroughly the developing process of an adjustable backrest for wheelchairs. The target group for the backrest are people that suffer from scoliosis or other spinal diseases. Because of insufficient pressure distribution usage of traditional backrests is not an option for them.The current solution has got a frame that is made by several adjustable links that is held in place by friction. Between the links velcro tapes are attached that is adjusts the depth.

Den pedagogiska verksamheten påverkas av ljudmiljön som antingen kan främja eller motverka kommunikationsmöjligheter. Då tidigare forskning genomfört objektiva mätningar efterlyses mer subjektiva studier, vilket denna studie syftar till. Syftet i denna studie är att undersöka hur de medverkande förskollärarna uppfattar att ljudmiljön påverkar den pedagogiska verksamheten. Studien ämnar även undersöka vad förskollärare uppfattar sig göra för att främja en god ljudmiljö. För att besvara syftet har följande frågeställningar använts:Hur uppfattar förskollärarna att ljudmiljön påverkar verksamheten?Vad uppfattar förskollärarna vara en god ljudmiljö?Hur uppfattar förskollärarna sig arbeta för att främja en god ljudmiljö?Den teoretiska utgångspunkten för studien är von Glasersfelds (1995; 2000) radikal konstruktivism och kvalitativa intervjuer har genomförts.

Background: The standard of living should be the same for everyone, whether the apartment is placed in an old or new building. The residential properties that were built from 1965 until 1974 is now beginning to become old and in need of restoration. The financial crisis during the nineties contributed to the lack of maintenance on the buildings in Sweden. As the public buildings gets older more and more defects occurs. The coordination and maintenance will therefore have a more significant role in the housing company ?s work.The increasing interest about how old a building can be, attract much attention.

Detta arbete består av en tvådelad studie. Vi har dels tagit reda på huruvida lärare använder sig av Harry Potter-böckerna i engelskundervisningen på gymnasiet, dels gestaltat lärarinformanternas uppfattningar angående användandet av Harry Potter-böckerna i undervisningen. Vi har också undersökt om det är möjligt att använda sig av Harry Potter-böcker i engelskundervisningen och om det är möjligt att koppla dem till Lpf 94 (2008) och kursplaner för Engelska A, B och C (2000) på gymnasiet.     Undersökningens intervjuer genomfördes på två gymnasieskolor i mellersta Sverige och inkluderade tio informanter. I syfte att svara på undersökningens forskningsfrågor genomfördes dessutom en didaktisk läsning av tre Harry Potter-böcker.Den didaktiska läsningen visade att de tre Harry Potter-böckerna kan kopplas till både Lpf 94 (2008:59?76) och kursplanerna för kurserna Engelska A, B och C på gymnasiet.

Syftet med denna kvalitativa studie är att undersöka om undersköterskorna på ett äldreboende i Göteborgs stad arbetar mot samma mål, om undersköterskorna upplever att det finns hinder eller möjligheter som påverkar deras förmåga att arbeta utefter målen, samt vilken betydelse den psykosociala arbetsmiljön har för att verksamheten skall uppnå Målmatchning.Denna kvalitativa studie har en induktiv ansats och bygger på semistrukturerade intervjuer med fem undersköterskor och en enhetschef på ett äldreboende i Göteborgs stad. Som analysmetod har empiristyrd tematisk analys använts.I denna studie har framkommit att undersköterskorna och deras enhetschef upplever utmaningar i sin arbetssituation, främst på grund av beslut kring budget, Optimerad Bemanning och Time Care, som fattats högre upp i organisationen. Dessa påverkansfaktorer har negativ inverkan på såväl den psykosociala arbetsmiljön som deras förmåga att uppnå verksamhetens mål. Den gemensamma målbilden behöver förtydligas. Även de förväntningar som verksamhetens alla olika parter har på varandra måste tydliggöras.
