Syftet för det här examensarbetet var att praktiskt reducera ställtiden på enbefintlig produktionslinje på Ruukki i Halmstad. Vid tiden då författarna togkontakt med företaget var den nuvarande ställtiden alldeles för lång och långtifrån optimal. I samband med projektets start gjordes det ett antal avgränsningaranpassat till den tiden som fanns tillgänglig.Tillvägagångssättet och metodiken till lösningen bakom ställtidsproblematikenföljer Shigeo Shingos Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED), där har författarnautfört analyser i form av iakttagelser och tidtagning. Upptäckterna som gjordesunder analys samt implementering var att även om SMED är en direkt metodik förställtidsreduktion finns det andra faktorer som kan motverka implementeringensamt dess goda resultat. Dessa faktorer som påvisades under projektets gång varbland annat de mänskliga aspekterna och den bakomliggande företagskulturen iorganisationen.

The purpose of this essay is to analyse the movie Hotel Rwanda from a didactic point of view using the movie?s use of history and historical culture as the main analytical tools. We also intend to problematize the use of movies in teaching focusing on the teaching guide from the Swedish film institution concerning Hotel Rwanda. We choose to work with a qualitative method. The reason why we decided to work with a qualitative method is the intention, as mentioned before, to analyse the movie using the tools we described earlier.

The aim and purpose of this essay is to study if three museums are using Facebook strategically to promote two-way communication with their target audiences in their external communication. A qual-itative and comparative research method and has been used and communication managers from each of the three museums have been interviewed. These interviews have been transcribed and coded in order to reveal opinions and views on how that particular museum feels about social media and the use of these tools in their external communication. A number of Facebook statuses have also been collect-ed in order to discover how each of the museums is using social media in order to reach and engage their target groups. Should the results of this essay be summarized it would show that the museums are using the communication channel that they feel suits the needs of reaching a specific audience.

Wound infection extends suffering for the patient and causes unnecessary costs for society. The aim was to describe how nurses can identify infection in wounds. Method: The design of the study was a literature review, where13 scientific articles were examined and analyzed.

In agricultural educations you learn to use different economic planning tools, as basis for decision. The purpose and goal of this work has been to find out if economic planning tools are used by the farmers in Sweden. We choose to do an investigation through personal interviews, and used an inquiry to get as equivalent answers as possible from the farmers. This work contains a literature study with relevant facts about the questions that is brought up in the inquiry. This study of literature explains shortly some different calculation methods and bases for decision. It also contains useable information that is important to know before an investment. The questions that are asked to the farmers have focused on the use of calculation methods and economical planning tools.

Med utgångspunkten att ständigt förbättras och öka konkurrenskraften arbetar Alfa Laval mot Leanprinciper. Vad som dock är ett problemområde är att se över fabriken ur ett helhetsperspektiv, närfabriken är uppdelad i många avdelningar. Lösningen till detta problem är att via olika metoder ellerverktyg kunna fastställa svaren på problemen.Denna examensrapport redogör för hur metoder inom Lean produktion kan vara lösningen förproblemområdet. Forskningen är huvudsakligen byggd på en bred värdeflödesanalys som syftar till attfånga in ett företags alla aspekter ur ett helhetsperspektiv, med syftet att minska risker försuboptimering och istället optimera produktionen som helhet.För att se gränssnitt mellan informationsflödet har i denna forskning metoden swimlane utgjort enkartläggning över ett företags hela kontorsavdelning, planerings och inköps avdelningar.Resultatet av denna forskning visar att värdeflödesanals är en bra metod för att kunna identifieraslöserier, ojämnheter i produktion, brister vid tillverkningen och flaskhalsar. För att sammankopplaolika avdelningar av ett företags informationsflöde, visas i resultaten att swimlane är en bra metod försyftet..

Produktiviteten i byggbranschen har inte utvecklats lika snabbt som i andra industrier t.ex. tillverkningsindustrin men det finns alla möjligheter för den svenska byggbranschen att förbättra sin produktivitet. Syftet och målet med detta examensarbete är definiera begreppet produktivitet samt undersöka om och hur produktivitet mäts i byggbranschen. Vidare studeras en produktionsfilosofi som vunnit kraft inom tillverkningsindustrin, lean production, vilken undersökts i syfte att se om denna kan utnyttjas för ökad produktivitet i den svenska byggbranschen. Dessa begrepp studeras genom en litteraturöversikt av lean thinking och produktivitet, intervjuer med entreprenörer inom byggbranschen samt en fallstudie av en hallbyggnad.

This thesis aims to analyse a time series containing the annual accumulation rate of minerogenic matter in the lake Kassjo?n. First there is a theoretical survey of some frequently used tools for the analysis of time series in the time domain and in the frequency domain. This survey is followed by a simulation study that illustrates how the theoretical tools work in practice. After this, the time series "toolbox" is used to analyse the time series from Kassjo?n (5701 data points).

Vi har sett att den svenska tillverkningsindustrin i detta nu befinner sig i ett paradigmskifte. Det vi observerat är att tillverkningsindustrier idag försöker åstadkomma en mer effektiv organisation som bättre tillgodoser marknadens krav på snabbhet och kvalitet. Det råder samstämmighet i litteraturen vi studerat, om att det har varit nödvändigt för många organisationer inom tillverkningsindustrin att förändra sina verksamhetsstrategier. Förändringen handlar om Lean och flödeseffektivisering som den nya verksamhetsstrategin. Genom intervjuer med ledare inom den svenska tillverkningsindustrin har vi uppmärksammat att ledarskapet är av stor betydelse i denna nya verksamhetsstrategi.

The aim of this thesis is to examine possibilities concerning subject access to fiction film, i.e. appropriate ways to describe fiction film for subject retrieval. Problems regarding subject indexing in general, and subject indexing of fiction film in particular, are identified, as well as the uniqueness of fiction film and film genres. Four types of subject aspects are discussed: form and genre, fictitious characters, setting, and general topics. Several guidelines, form- and genre lists, and subject headings lists are examined and treated as potential indexing tools.

During thedevelopment of the system information security and interaction design have beenimportant aspects that have been taken into consideration.The system has been created using techniques such as PHP and MYSQL.

Slöseri är ett stort problem på byggarbetsplatser. Ett koncept där minimering av slöseri ärcentralt är Lean-manufacturing. Detta arbetes syfte var att utreda hur förbättringsarbeteanvänds på byggarbetsplatser. De befintliga systemen för förbättringar analyserades ochförslag till förbättringar gavs.Genom intervjuer undersöktes hur förbättringsarbete sker på byggarbetsplatser.Egenkontroller och arbetsberedningar användes som kvalitetsarbete på arbetsplatserna. Detvisade sig att de inte har något system för förbättringsarbete.

Traditionally the content of fiction has not been described, analyzed, classified and/or indexed to the same extent as non-fiction. As a consequence, this lack of content analysis has resulted in unsatisfactory fiction retrieval in relation to users seeking and search behaviour. This fact is why this Master s thesis is written. The total of library users' seeking and search behaviour is investigated in order to suggest methods to improve user adapted fiction retrieval tools. Suggesting relevant fiction retrieval tools corresponding to users' seeking/search behaviour is another aim of the study.
