Sammanfattning Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka vilken bild som ges av världens engelskspråkiga länder i läromedel i engelska för åren 6-9. Undersökningen fokuserade på kultursyn och interkulturalitet. Den valda metoden för undersökningen var en textanalys av de texter i läromedlen som behandlade något engelskspråkigt land. Analysen visade att majoriteten av texterna hade koppling till Storbritannien eller USA och att dessa länder skildrades inifrån genom exempelvis skönlitteratur, tidningsartiklar och berättarröster från landet i fråga. Övriga engelskspråkiga länder förekom i betydligt mindre utsträckning och skildrades mestadels utifrån genom faktatexter om landet i fråga.

The energy in laundry rooms, in form heated air, can be utilized with a heat exchanger. A concept and an early prototype of the heat exchanger have already been developed to show that the theory works. This report describes the continued development and construction of the product.A field study was made in order to investigate the environmental usage and establish the product design. The most common washing machine was used as a calculation model, and calculations were also made to estimate the amount of energy in the air. A previous analysis of the existing prototype is also presented in this report, to show the products potential capacity.

Människor i dagens samhälle flyttar och reser mycket till olika platser och länder. Man växte upp i en stad och sedan flyttade man till en annan för att till exempel gå i skolan eller arbeta. Under tiden träffar man andra människor från andra städer eller länder. Alla har olika erfarenheter och bakgrund med olika traditioner. Etnicitet är någonting som uppstår när man träffar människor som är olik en själv.

Det har florerat olika rykten som säger att sjöbefälen endast arbetar i ett fåtal år efter att de avlagt sin examen.  För att undersöka om det fanns någon substans i detta valde vi att göra en undersökning där vi följde upp personer från tre olika sjökaptensklasser. Samtidigt fann vi det intressant att ta reda på vart de som slutat hade tagit vägen efteråt. Genom utdrag från sjömansregistret i Sverige samt intervjuer sammanställde vi personernas arbetshistorik. Resultatet visade på att sjöbefälen arbetade 25 år i snitt, att det tog 3 år att mönstra överstyrman och 8 år till befälhavare. Ett flertal av dem som gått iland var kvar inom branschen.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine if academic libraries market e-journals, and if so how this work is carried out. The ambition is to study what channels and methods the Libraries use, to inform their users that they have access to e-journals. The aim is also to survey if the libraries evaluate the use of the e-journals, and if so how. The objectives of the work are reached by using two main methods, document analysis and qualitative interviews. The study has been performed on three university libraries.

Biogas is increasingly used for fuel in for example vehicles and it´s produced in a biogas processconsisting of the steps of pretreatment, digestion and gas cleaning. The pretreatment is a method usedto increase the gas production and / or destroy pathogens. The digestion is the stage when anaerobicmicroorganisms convert bio-mass of a substrate to a raw gas containing about 65% of methane. Thegas cleaning is used to increase the methane content to about 97% so the gas can be used for motors invehicles. The biogas part of the Ekeby sewage plant in Eskilstuna is using multiple substrates.

The purpose of this essay is to examine sfi (Swedish for immigrants), which is an ingrational-political tool with objective of teaching immigrants to read and write in Swedish. With the use of critical discourse analysis we examine the discursive practices within sfi. We also examine our methodological and theoretical approaches, and our application of them. Our research questions are as follows:? How are the discursive usage of ?person centered? and ?society centered? expressions being used?? How well does our methodological and theoretical resources work?In our theoretical viewpoint we use ?post colonial theory?, which is a perspective concerned with global power relations seen from a historical perspective.

In this report a study is carried out with the aim to identify added values of EPC projects implemented in schools in order to increase the interest of EPC projects on the market. The report examines how the planned maintenance, supervision, maintenance and corrective maintenance is affected, how insurance premiums and terms are affected, the indoor environment and how the tasks of the operating staff is changing. A literature study of energy savings, energy use in schools, maintenance and insurance as well as how energy efficiency improvements are related to the Swedish environmental objectives has been made. Visits were carried out in Ludvika, interviews were also carried out with operation technicians and local strategists in Ludvika as well as employees of insurance companies.Schools often have neglected maintenance and problems with ventilation and indoor environment. Schools also have a large energy saving potential due to their low utilization, mainly because they are empty parts of the year.

Colombia är ett land med en över 40 årig lång internkonflikt vilket har bidragit till att en avsevärd del av landets befolkning tvingats fly och lämna sina hem. De allra flesta flyr inte över Colombias gränser till andra länder, utan stannar i landet och blir internflyktingar. Tanken bakom denna uppsats är att undersöka problematiken kring dessa internflyktingar och om de omfattas av principerna om mänskliga rättigheter och om de har möjligheten att utnyttja dessa rättigheter. Hannah Arendts syn på medborgarskap används som grund för att beskriva internflyktingarnas situation i förhållande till mänskliga rättighetsargumenten. Hur internflyktingen påverkas socialt av tvångsmigrationen tas också upp vilket jag kopplar samman med Egon F.

Thesis purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to make a contribution, by connecting the transfer of meaning within the context of TV series. The meaning is transferred from the brand to the character in a TV series and then further to the viewer. To look at different role functions that are used in dramaturgy and narrative techniques, we will be able to see how the brand will have a specific role and thereby make the transfer of meaning more successful and effective. This role will have an important impact on product placement according to the meaning that will be transferred from the brand to the viewer, through the character. Methodology: By looking at the transfer of meaning process that is created from the brand, an unstructured observation is applied where we observed the placement and usage of different within a specific TV series.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine ideas used to legitimate Swedish digital libraries, with a focus on the cultural heritage, their relation to cultural policy and an eventual crisis within the latter. Which ideas are linked to digitalisation? How do the arguments for creating digital libraries differ between central actors? How do the digital libraries relate to cultural policy and an eventual legitimacy crisis? These are the questions this thesis seeks to answer. The theoretical starting-point consists of a legitimacy discussion and its connection to Swedish cultural policy. The method used is idea analysis.

Syftet med vårt arbete är att ta reda på hur nyanlända elever upplever mötet med den svenska skolan. Hur upplever de lärarna, skolsystemet, kamraterna och det nya samhället? Mycket spelar in när man är ny i ett land. För många av dessa elever har livet vänds upp och ner. De har kommit långt bort från det de kände till, och nu kommit till något helt nytt som de aldrig tidigare mött.

Denna uppsats bygger på en bildanalys av Ikeas annonsering i Kina respektive Sverige. Vi har analyserat två annonser i vardera land. Uppsatsens teoretiska grund baseras på kommunikationsteori, färglära, bildanalys och semiotik. I komparationen mellan annonser publicerade i de två länderna kunde vi konstatera att de kulturella skillnaderna är påtagliga. Ikea i Sverige tar ut svängarna, lämnar mer öppenhet och nyttjar komisk retorik i sin marknadsföring.

In this essay I have chosen to explore how computers are used in preschools. The study was done as a survey. How does preschool seize the children´s culture? In today´s society ICT and computers are a big part of children´s everyday life and reflects on their upbringing.Since I am using computers as a pedagogical tool in teaching the children at my preschool, I find this topic interesting to explore.Are the teacher´s using computers for an educational purpose with the children at preschools or are they using it in other ways?Do the teachers think they have the required knowledge to computers usage in teaching the children in a pedagogical way?What is the teacher´s attitude towards computers in preschool?The essay starts with a introductorial background section where I talk about my own experiences of using computers with the children in my preschool, and then referring to the society then and now, school law, curriculum, teachers' computer skills, media situation amongst children and young people, computer use in preschools/schools and health effects. I have composed a survey based on the answers of 50 teachers in 30 different preschools and in nine different municipalities.The result of the survey is reported and concludes with a part of discussion, where the results are put up against the introductorial background section.

Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att se hur kunskap överförs och information hanteras från svenska företag till deras samarbetspartners eller dotterbolag i staden Qingdao i Kina, men även att se vilka problem som kan uppstå när dessa processer genomförs. Författarna vill även utreda vilken informationshantering som är mest effektiv samt om det uppstår några problem i samband med de kulturella skillnaderna mellan Sverige och Kina.Den allmänna anledningen till att ett företag investerar i ett annat land är de ekonomiska utvecklingsmöjligheter som kan ge stor avkastning, men vilket land ett företag väljer att investera i varierar. De tio senaste åren har Sveriges ekonomiska relationer med Kina utvecklats snabbt och idag är Sveriges största handelspartner i Asien, landet Kina. När utländska företag etablerar sig i Kina överförs kunskap och information till de kinesiska företagen och deras arbetstagare. Detta kan skapa ekonomiska möjligheter för de utländska företagen men innebär även en utmaning.
