Värmeväxlare med luftkonditionering för tvättstugor

The energy in laundry rooms, in form heated air, can be utilized with a heat exchanger. A concept and an early prototype of the heat exchanger have already been developed to show that the theory works. This report describes the continued development and construction of the product.A field study was made in order to investigate the environmental usage and establish the product design. The most common washing machine was used as a calculation model, and calculations were also made to estimate the amount of energy in the air. A previous analysis of the existing prototype is also presented in this report, to show the products potential capacity. The final part of the feasibility study concerns similar products which exist on the market today. The feasibility study resulted in a compilation of the constraints and the limitations of the heat exchanger. The compilation was used as a basis for concept generation and further design. Three main concepts for the product design were defined and a final concept was chosen amongst them. When the design began it was divided into two paths of development, one as the basis for manufacturing a prototype, and another as the basis for production in larger quantities. While designing the parts, manufacturing methods and materials had to be taken into account, though these differed between the two paths. The result of the prototype development path is detail drawings of all the components and assembly drawings for an overview of how they are to be mounted. The result of the production development path consists of presentation pictures, which can be used for selling promotion or to help describe the product.
