This paper studies the Swedish Alien?s Act regulations regarding individuals in need of international protection. The purpose of the essay is to examine the differences between the three grounds of protection that are found in the Swedish Alien?s Act. Central questions have been whether the origins of protection statuses granted in this act are national or international, as the UN convention relating to the status of refugees and also the progress of the European Union?s Common European Asylum System both are affecting the Swedish legislation.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate the working conditions of professional photographers at the start of the 20th century. The aim of this essay is to provide a glimpse into this specific time-period with the main question: How were the working conditions for professional photographers? The subject of this master thesis is the school library and how we find its potential unutilized. We look at this problem in connection to the democratic assignment that the Swedish school has. The purpose is to elucidate what the democratic assignment consists of and to establish the role that the school library ought to have in this assignment. To describe the democratic assignment we examine and interpret the documents that regulate school and library activities today, including UNESCO/IFLA School Library Manifesto and United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. We use critical ideology analysis because we consider democracy to be a sort of ideology and have a critical view of how the school library is used or rather not used in school.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med studien var att undersöka och jämföra hur Storbritanniens och Sveriges system för talangutveckling inom fälttävlan såg ut. Ett delsyfte var även att undersöka hur ryttare upplevde systemet och vad de ansåg hade gjort dem till framgångsrika talanger. Följande frågeställningar användes:Hur arbetar det Brittiska fälttävlansförbundet och det Svenska ridsportförbundet med talangutveckling i fälttävlan?Hur skiljer sig talangutvecklingssystemet mellan dessa länder?Hur upplever ryttarna sitt lands talangutvecklingssystem?Vilka framgångsfaktorer upplever ryttarna hade gjort dem framgångsrika talanger? MetodTriangulering baserad på följande metoder användes; (1) textanalyser utifrån Svenska ridsportförbundets och British Eventings respektive hemsidor; (2) omfattande kvalitativa intervjuer med två förbundsledare, en från respektive land. Intervjuguiden till förbundsledarna innehöll följande fyra förutbestämda teman: Definition, Utvecklingsmodell, Finansiering och Övrigt; och (3) intervjuer med två svenska ryttare och e-post konversation med brittisk ryttare kring erfarenheter och karriärer, baserade på en standardiserad intervjuguide. ResultatDefinitionen av talang skilde sig åt mellan länderna.

Abstract (in English) The report clarifies how the economy of Värnamo and Tingsryd area experiencing and implementing APL, it also reveals their need for jacking from the school to improve students achievement.By highlighting some of the requirements, expectations, obligations and rights as schools, businesses and students have between each other can enhance our understanding of each other's activities. With increased understanding of each other's needs, function and values can be a more seamless cooperation take place which can increase the efficiency, usefulness and effectiveness of APL and apprenticeship.The investigation of the report includes a survey of 25 questions that companies involved in APL answers and interviews by two well-designate individuals in the subject, Jonas Olofsson, who among other things, wrote the book "Krisen i skolan" and Annika Jervgren is research assistant in the National Apprentice Committee.The supervisor's actions during the APL are addressed and they are critical to student achievement and how the profession is perceived. It is also evident that there is a desire for increased communication between schools and businesses and that practice is governed by established documented procedures to make the workplace time will be as constructive as possible for the students..

In my essay, I will start with a story that represents my dilemma from my own experience. In the story, dealing with children that challenges teachers and other children in preschool, I wonder how I as a teacher can be fair and inclusive when I feel insufficient on several occasions. I reflect on my own approach because it can be difficult when we encounter children with different needs and abilities in preschool.I write the essay in experience-based essay form. The essays form makes it possible for me to reflect on my own experience and by using selected theoretical perspectives processing my dilemma. In my essay, I explore my own approach, what is meant by fairness and how the concept can be interpreted and how I can in the best way include all children in activities.I conclude that fairness from a perspective can be seen from the five criteria similarity, need, performance, compensation and rights.

Tillväxtteori är något som studeras mycket bland nationalekonomer eftersom fattigdom är ett stort problem i världen. För att det inte ska bli ännu större kan det vara väldigt viktigt att veta hur tillväxten ska komma igång i ett fattigt land som lidit hårt av exempelvis inbördeskrig. Det finns inga modeller som specifikt modellerar detta, men det är antagligen för att de faktorer som är betydelsefulla troligen är desamma som för ett fattigt land som inte har hamnat långt under sitt steady state (det jämviktsläge som ekonomin är på väg mot på lång sikt). Det finns många modeller som försöker förklara vilka faktorer som driver tillväxt i fattiga länder, och eftersom modeller alltid är förenklingar av verkligheten, finns det inga perfekta modeller, men de flesta har någon viktig faktor som belyses. En modell som ofta används för att beskriva tillväxten i fattiga länder är teknologispridnings-modellen som visar att fattiga länders ekonomier växer då de lär sig att använda mer teknologi.

My study is focused on one organization with is Unicef, the organization that is workning on a UN mission. The mission is about children's rights and Unicef has brought children's actions since 1946.The purpose of this essay was to research whether the images can be used alone or as a complement to the text that the communication organizations use. By examining the way images are used, I hoped to be able to deduce the results of image use. I study if the effect out messages with only pictures will be more effective than the message in which the verbal mixed with the non-verbal.Theoretical part of this essay has a communication perspective. Jag gör en hermeneutisk och holistisk undersökning av det internationella adoptionsfenomenet genom att ställa en dominerande diskurs i relation till en motdiskurs. På grund av ämnets omfattning kommer jag att ha Sverige som utgångspunkt för diskussionen. Det land varifrån den internationella adoptionen sker är i denna undersökning Sri Lanka.Med frågeställningen "Hur konstrueras en diskurs?" undersöks de aspekter den internationella adoptionsverksamheten är sammansatt av.Jag vill påvisa den internationella adoptionsverksamhetens hegemoniska/diskursiva status och belysa den vetenskapliga och rationella praxis den är i besittning av.

 The number of hidden refugees in Sweden is estimated to be at least 15,000. The law, which only allows this group a very limited access to health care, can be considered to clash with the human rights and the ethical codes related to the health care professionals.The aim of the study was to examine how the personnel in public health care may experience treating hidden refugees and which ethical conflicts that may be connected to this. The study, which is of a qualitative descriptive design, is based on eight semi-structured interviews. The interviewees were trained nurses and mid-wives in an emergency room, a maternity ward and a health care centre for asylum seekers.The experience of treating hidden refugees amongst the informants was limited. The study proved that the knowledge of laws and guidelines regarding hidden refugees amongst the interviewed health care personnel was poor.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka vilka olika typer av konflikter med kulturella förtecken som förekommer mellan olika aktörer på mångkulturella skolor och hur konflikterna hanteras. Empirin är baserad på en kvalitativ semistrukturerad intervjustudie som utfördes under våren 2011 med sex kvinnliga lärare på två mångkulturella skolor med inriktning 7-9. Det erhållna resultatet pekar på att det förekommer kulturella konflikter av olika typer. De mest framträdande konflikterna handlar om rasism och hierarkier samt olika förhållningssätt till kroppsspråket, orden och röstläget. Respondenternas erfarenheter kring konflikthantering delades in i olika teman där medvetenhet, kommunikation, respekt och vikten av en tydlig strategi var mest framträdande..

The Swedish government ratified on May 1 2009 an amendment of marital law, resulting in same-sex marriage becoming legalized. With the rights of the Christian Swedish state church to officiate weddings originating from the same law, the church was thereby faced with two options: Either officially include same-sex couples in the Christian concept of holy matrimony and keep the right to officiate weddings; or give up the right to officiate weddings altogether. An official decision to accept the terms was reached on October 22 2009, but not without being preceded by an agitated medial debate.This research attempts to analyze the arguments of the debate in three stages: In the first stage the arguments are categorized according to their respective ideological standpoint. In the second stage these categories are examined from post-modern, social constructivist and socialization theory perspectives. Based on this, the third stage sees the arguments analyzed from a viewpoint based in the Copenhagen school concept of securization.The research concludes that the debate does not only simply feature two sides with differences of opinion; but rather that the arguments of the two opposing sides are founded in a common view of the other side as a fundamental threat to ones conception of a sound society..

National identity, multiculturalism and invisible norms are three conceptions focused on in this essay. They are discussed and analysed with the purpose of deepening deepen the understanding of their meaning. Further on they become instruments in a study of the Liberal Party's proposal for new politics of integration. My ambition is to distinguish signs of a Swedish national identity in this proposal and to interpret the party's relation to multiculturalism.The method of this essay comprises partly a literature study and partly a qualitative analysis of text.My discussion and analysis ended in an understanding of national identity and multiculturalism as complex and interrelated conceptions. I found parts of a Swedish national identity in the value of working, in the fear of the cultural unknown and of eventual anti Swedish culture, in the idea of Sweden as the best country in the world considering gender equality and in the strong defence for the Swedish language.
