Banverket Trafik has a responsibility to make sure that the companies who traffic the Swedish railroad have the correct information about the status of the railroad. One of Banverket Trafiks information systems (Opera) presents the train?s actual position on a map and provides the user with physical information about the trains. Due to increasing demands on the information systems, Banverket Trafik needs to update the present system architecture in order to manage the increasing demands on map graphics and map functions. This paper analysis the information system Opera on the basis of theory and support of methods and discuss problems and demands for Opera.

Syftet med denna kvalitativa studie är att lyfta verksamma pedagogers uppfattningar om skäll i förskolan. Det har framför allt varit intressant att ta reda på om pedagogerna ser ett samband mellan den fysiska miljön och förekomsten av skäll i verksamheten. I denna studie har fokusgrupper använts där det sammanlagda antalet deltagare var elva stycken från två olika förskolor.Resultatet visar att informanterna i denna studie är överens om att skäll är svårdefinierat. I detta arbete kan skäll förstås som en verbal handling som kan komma till uttryck på olika sätt. Samtliga informanter menar dock att de skäller på barnen men graden av hur mycket man skäller varierar.

Denna kandidatuppsats utgör en komparativ studie av två vampyrkaraktärer, greve Dracula och Edward Cullen, utifrån Bram Stokers Dracula (1993) och Stephenie Meyers första roman i Twilightsagan, Twilight (2007). Jag vill försöka klargöra förändringar i skildringarna av vampyrkaraktärerna genom att jämföra hur dem skildras när det gäller utseende, liv samt beteende och handling och därefter finna likheter och skillnader vampyrkaraktärerna emellan utifrån dessa aspekter. Den komparativa studien bygger huvudsakligen på närläsning av romanerna eftersom jag endast ägnar mig åt att studera hur vampyrkaraktärerna skildras. Resultatet visar att det finns såväl likheter som skillnader när det gäller skildringarna av greve Dracula och Edward. Skildringarna av Dracula som en monstervampyr har förändrats, gått förlorade och likaledes bevarats när det gäller skildringarna av Edward som humanvampyr..

This diploma work on D-level is made in cooperation with Varnäsföretagen AB in Eskilstuna. The company performs contract manufactured aluminium goods. This work is a continuation on earlier diploma work in Varnäsföretagen AB. Even if the industry process consumes much energy for melting the aluminium goods, they consume a great amount of oil to warm up the building. The purpose of this work is to examine some places in the building and the process to see how much energy it is possible to recycles to the heating system and reduce the costs for heating.

Med andra ord söker den visa om en tittare kan vara delaktig i filmens handlingsförlopp genom att aktivt påverka det. This paper describes a case study of the largest film production ever conducted in Scandinavia. The study aims at explaining the complex relationships in the network structure in which the project took place. Coordination of creative projects carried out in a network context, includes handling conflicting interest and contradictions. Creativity needs space and freedom while projects need structure and coordination, whereby controlling these projects becomes complex. Adding to the complexity, does the loose form of organization that the network structure represents, without any long term structure.

This report describes the development of a sample loader for my diploma work at Q-linea AB in Uppsala. The sample loader will replace the process of loading fluid samples into Q-linea?s instrument for biomolecule analysis. The earlier process was done by hand and was a time consuming and inefficient task.The work was initiated with a design phase where an overview of the system was created. The sample loader will be receiving text commands from a PC that coordinates all the subsystems like pumps and lasers on the analysis instrument.

Konverteringsoptimering handlar inte bara om can do-faktorn, att göra det möjligt för besökaren på en webbsajt att göra det som ägaren avsett att den ska göra. Många gånger handlar det om will do, att övertyga besökaren till handling och still do, att förhoppningsvis bygga upp ett förtroende hos besökaren som får den att vilja återvända till sajten fortsättningsvis. När man arbetar med konverteringsoptimering är det vanligt att kombinera kvalitativa metoder med kvantitativa metoder eftersom varje metod för sig inte ger en fullständig förståelse för vad majoriteten av ens besökare gör. Det här arbetet har dominerats av kvalitativa undersökningsmetoder och en omfattande litteraturstudie. Intervjuer med konverteringsexperter har genomförts för att undersöka hur arbetet med konverteringsoptimering kan gå till.

This thesis presents a comparative study of image registration at two picture collection libraries. The two registration systems are analyzed as to the theoretical principles behind them and their practical application, and related to theoretical tools for subject analysis and bibliographic standards. While a growing number of picture collections now digitize their material, generally accepted standards and methods for the registration of digital images are still lacking. Many different systems coexist, often developed in-house in response to ad hoc needs and based on traditional registration tools created for textual documents, resulting in internationally incompatible mixed-format systems. The two picture collections examined here, however, have opted for similar, standardized tools for registration and subject analysis, and while there are differences in their application and focus, they have both considered issues of cross-system compatibility.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka varför skolor valde en specifik inriktning/profilering och ta reda på bakgrunden till och vilka händelser som låg bakom besluten samt att undersöka hur imple-menteringen fungerat.De skolor som valdes ut hade samtliga en profilering som genomsyrade verksamheten. Skolle-dare för tre skolor med profilering mot rörelse/hälsa och tre skolor med profilen hjärnbaserat lärande/kreativitet belägna i Stockholm och dess grannkommuner intervjuades. Av dessa skolor var två friskolor och fyra kommunala skolor, två skolor fanns i Stockholm och övriga i när-kommuner. Till detta kom ytterligare en kommunal skola som inte hade profilerat sig.Intervjuerna analyserades enligt von Wrights händelselogik som består av determinanterna normer/förväntningar, möjligheter, intentionerna önskan och pliktkänsla (utöver rollens förväntade) samt förmåga. I teorin ingår även epistemiska attityder men eftersom det endast var en intervju med respektive informant fanns inte möjlighet att analysera detta.Studien påvisade fem olika varianter där samtliga skolledare bedömdes ha förmågan.

The task for this thesis is to design a tool that is used to cut-out preforms of thermoplastic adhesive and also to make an estimate of costs for the stamping tool. The tool is used in the repair process at the MCM production line. The result of gathered information has affected how the design of the stamping tool has developed. The handling of thermoplastic adhesive in the repair process is one of the factors that influenced the design. The adhesive is sensitive for exposure to moisture. Therefore an automated feeding system of the adhesive is not recommended. The users wished for an automated stamping tool.

Genom förankring i relevant litteratur, och en intervjustudie med tre lärare, svarar denna uppsats i resultatdelen på forskningsfrågan: hur lärare i grundskolan beskriver att de arbetar med läroplanens (Lpo 94), värdegrundsmål. Den visar att värdegrunden i det demokratiska uppdraget har stor betydelse för elevernas samhällsutveckling. Uppsatsen påpekar att samtalen kring värdegrunden måste generera handling. Vidare påvisas vikten av ständig reflektion över vad värdegrunden innebär. I diskussionsdelen besvaras uppsatsens syfte att: förstå innebörder av läroplanens (Lpo 94), värdegrundsmål i skolans praktik.

Studien grundar sin handling på syftet, att ur ett intersektionellt perspektiv undersöka på vilka bevekelsegrunder föräldrar väljer att placera sina barn i fristående skolor. Studien har inspirerats av en fallstudie eftersom både enkäter och intervjuer har använts. Valet av skola där undersökningen har ägt rum gjordes utifrån ett stratifierat urval, det vill säga ett slumpmässigt val men inom vissa ramar. Informanterna till intervjuerna valdes ut med hjälp av ett subjektivt urval. När det gäller intervjuerna, användes semistrukturerade intervjuer, det är intervjuer där respondenterna kan tala fritt om den ställda frågan.

The purpose of our qualitative study is to investigate how the caretakers, in the elderly care,interpret and manage the issue of alcohol problems in elderly people. We have beenperforming semi-structured interviews on 9 people, on different levels in the elderly care.There were 3 elderly care managers, 1 nurse, 1 assistance administrator and 4 auxiliarynurses, who all, at some level, work with alcohol problems in elderly people. Thoseinterviews were performed singularly, with one exception: we interviewed an elderly caremanager and her 2 auxiliary nurses at the same time. To analyse our empirics, we have usedthe theories of Power and Ageism. Our study shows that the auxiliary nurses, who are theones who must deal with these problems, have great difficulties to perform their work becausethey have no qualified knowledge about alcohol problems.
