Working with health-management has become something most organizations would describe as essential for being legitimate today. The aim of this thesis is to investigate how this subject is handled in an existing company and how this work is percieved by the employees in the organization. Due to the fact that limited research has been conducted on this issue, we see this thesis as a potential for increasing the understanding of how health management is articulated in practice. Our results show that health management in our studied organization is far reaching in comparison with most organizations, but has room for improvement according to the Integral Theory. The consequence of differences in perceptions between management and employees could result in that health management does not become an Integral part of the company and its daily operations to the potential extent..

Det här arbetet har haft som syfte att ta reda på vilka uppfattningar eleverna på en Komvuxskola har om Integralkalkyl. I undersökningen medverkade 28 elever och fyra av dem blev intervjuade. Jag använde mig av ett skriftligt test och kvalitativa ostrukturerade intervjuer som undersökningsmetoder. Studiens resultat visade att endast några elever tolkade begreppen primitiv funktion samt Integral som ett objekt och utvecklade relationell förståelse. De andra eleverna som på det skriftliga testet kunde tillämpa reglerna för att bestämma primitiva funktioner och för att beräkna Integraler, uppfattade begreppen som en process och utvecklade instrumentell förståelse.

The purpose of this Master thesis is to examine whether there is a connection between distance to the schoollibrary and the extent to which teachers are using it as an Integral part of their teaching. The study aims to answerif the physical distance to the school library is affecting teachers' ways of working with the library, if it affects thecollaboration between teachers and librarians and finally if teachers that are using a school library outside theschool premises are doing so less as an Integral part of their teaching compared to teachers that have access to aschool library within the schools premises.The study is based on qualitative interviews with six teachers in the intermediate stage of the nine-yearcompulsory school, of which three have access to a school library within the school premises and three haveaccess to a school library outside the school premises. The two groups of teachers are compared in order to findout if there is a connection between distance to the school library and the usage of it. Loertscher's school librarymedia program and teacher taxonomy have been used as a theoretical framework.The study shows that the teachers who use a school library within the school premises have a bettercollaboration with the librarians than the ones who use a school library outside the school premises. The studyalso show that theese libraries are an Integral part of the teaching to a higher degree.

Background: Companies often invest in foreign subsidiaries and that gives rise to translation exposure. Translation exposure arises with the consolidation of the foreign subsidiary and depends on the rate of exchange that are used for translation of the foreign subsidiary. Both serum creatinine and measuring GFR can be used to evaluate renal function in dogs suspected to have chronic kidney disease (CKD). Although high creatinine levels usually indicate renal disease, normal creatinine levels can be present in dogs with decreased renal filtration. This thesis has been conducted at Saab Bofors Dynamics AB. The purpose was to investigate if a non-linear missile model could be stabilized when the optimal control signal is computed considering constraints on the control input. This is particularly interesting because the missile is controlled with rudders that have physical bounds. This strategy is called Model Predictive Control. Simulations are conducted to compare this strategy with others; firstly simulations with step responses and secondly simulations when the missile is supposed to hit a moving target.

AbstractReading books to children is often an Integral part in preschool activities. The purpose of thisstudy is to investigate how educators think about the educational function of literature inpreschool activities. I have in my study used qualitative interviews with active educators andobservations to answer my questions about why the educator reads to the children, how theeducator thinks about the choice of literature and if the literature can contribute to thechildrens development and if so, how. The knowledge- and research background presentsliterature and previous research done on the subject. The results of my study shows that theeducators have many thoughts about the importance of literature in preschool.

Den här uppsatsen syftar till att redogöra för hur problematiken kring världens slumområden kan hanteras. Uppsatsens fokus ligger på hur medborgardeltagande används i slumuppgraderingssammanhang. I undersökningen presenteras teorier och förhållningssätt inom ämnet och dessa används för att jämföra och diskutera två slumuppgraderingsprojekt där medborgardeltagande har förekommit. Uppsatsens resultat erhålls genom litteraturundersökning av två utvalda projekt samt av generella beskrivningar av medborgardeltagande och slumuppgradering. De två projekten är valda baserat på hur väl medborgardeltagandet finns dokumenterat. Projekten jämförs huvudsakligen utifrån Nabeel Hamdi och Reinhard Goethert teori om medborgardeltagande. Det ena projektet som presenteras i uppsatsen är ett slumuppgraderingsprojekt från Medellín i Colombia.

This thesis studies the negative impact that control signal saturation may have on a controlled system. Different methods that are used to compensate for this problem are also studied and evaluated. Both sensitivity to disturbances and the effect the method has on the systems'ability to follow a reference signal will be examined. Stability will be discussed, but no conclusions whether the systems are stabilized or not can be drawn. Control signal saturation will lead to a slower behavior in general.
