ALMI Business Partner operating in the years 2008-2010 a project called Vivan which is about innovations made by staff in the health care profession. The project Vivian is to bring new products to the market by establishing new companies. We have looked at why health care professionals to a lesser extent than other professionals choose to start businesses. Another question raised is why it is mostly men who have chosen to start their own business in the female-dominated health profession. Traditionally, men have as an advantage over women in the corporate market in Sweden.

Satsningen har som fokus att forska inom innovation och samtidigt hjälpa företag att träna sin innovationskompetens. Denna studie ska underlätta innovationsprocesser hos Innovationsgymmet.ProblemformuleringMed ökande konkurrens från olika delar av värden så behövs det nya innovativa strategier för att bemöta dessa globala utmaningar. Innovationsgymmet ska tillsammans med företag skapa en innovationsprocess där målet är att träna företags innovationskompetens. Utmaningen är att skapa ett digitalt diagnosverktyg som ska fungera för Innovationsgymmet och vara inom ramarna för beställarens intressen.SyfteSyftet med denna studie är att ge Innovationsgymmet möjligheten att presentera resultat utifrån analyser på ett sätt som inspirerar och övertygar de personer eller företag som är med och deltar i innovationsprocessen.Metod Studien fick understöd från intervjuer och idégenerering.

Det papperslösa samhället har varit ett begrepp i över trettio år, men än läser vi tidskrifter och magasin i pappersform. Vi konsumerar dock dagligen allt mer information och mycket av denna är i digital form. Tidskriften är en produkt som liksom CD-skivan är möjlig att helt och hållet digitalisera. Kanske är det en anledning till att upplagorna minskar för många tidskrifter i Sverige? Denna rapport syftar till att nå en fördjupad förståelse för hur svenska tidskrifter möter den digitala utvecklingen i fyra kanaler; webbplats, Twitter, Facebook och applikation för iPad (digital utgåva).

Studien unders?ker ?ven kommunernas syn p? havet och valet av tidsperspektiv i planeringen.? Resultatet fr?n studien visar p? ett behov av ett l?ngre tidsperspektiv, bortom 100 ?r f?r att m?ta utmaningarna med havsniv?h?jningar.

Regulation of rivers by dams and reservoirs is a good example where anthropogenic impact could be considerable both in the local environment, but also has major implications upstream and downstream. This study was accomplished as a literature study of the river Nile, which is extremely important for water supply. The purpose of this study was to investigate the consequences of the construction of the Aswan High Dam, to obtain a consistent flow for water supply, irrigation and power generation in Egypt. Since Egypt has a very hot and dry climate large amounts of water in reservoir is lost to the Nubian aquifer system and by evaporation. The consequences from constructing the dam are considerable.

A lot of houses built during the Million Homes Programme are in need of major renovation. Today?s technology and materials are better than in the 60?s and 70?s. Both Swedish government and the European Union have set climate goals regarding energy consumption by 2020 and 2050. Achieving these goals would require better standards in buildings than the Building regulations demands, such as Umeå municipality?s construction requirements for new buildings.The report aims to investigate if a renovation of apartment buildings from the Million Homes Programme can reach Umeå municipality?s construction requirements.

Aeroseum is an aviation museum located in an old military underground hangar. The ventilation system in the hangar is designed for the military purpose of the hangar. This design includes a solution with air flowing through the space between the construction of the hangar and the rock surface. The solution is intended to avoid a buildup of inflammable gases. This design leads too high humidity levels in the hangar.

I dagens snabba, globala och föränderliga omvärld anser allt fler att innovation är en viktig och nödvändig faktor för ekonomisk tillväxt. Entreprenörer har därför en betydande roll för samhället i jakten på nya innovationer och start av nya företag. På samma sätt har även riskkapitalister en lika betydande roll då staten, banker och andra institutioner sällan vågar satsa på nya riskfyllda affärsidéer. För affärsidéer i tidiga faser, som kanske ännu inte blivit företag med intäkter, är Venture Capital-bolag den vanligaste och största form av riskkapitalister som är villiga att ta en sådan investeringssrisk. Affärsidéer i tidiga faser är mycket riskfyllda då det kan vara svårt att förutse marknaden eftersom det ännu inte finns ett företag.

Denna rapport beskriver arbetsprocessen och skapandet av en animerad film på uppdrag av Månhusprojektet, Luna Resort. Beräknat 2012 ska ett rött hus med vita knutar sättas på månen, en idé skapad av konstnären Mikael Genberg. Syftet med filmen är att kommunicera månhusprojektets budskap ? att göra världen till en bättre plats att leva på. Med det som mål har jag arbetat utifrån två frågeställningar; Hur kan kunskaper inom informationsdesign tillämpas vid filmproduktion? och Hur bör filmen utformas för att nå en så bred målgrupp som möjligt? Frågeställningarna har besvarats med hjälp av utprovningar, litteraturstudier och samtal med uppdragsgivarna.

During the past decades the competition for skilful employees has increased and companies and organizations compete to attract the right people. The Swedish municipalities and country councils need to recruit 420 000 new employees before 2020, but have a limited budget to promote themselves as attractive employers. To find a solution, many of the municipalities have started to work with fundamental values to become more attractive employers and to inspire employees to use word-of-mouth to recommend them. There are no empirical studies of how successful this strategy is, and the purpose of this thesis is to show if there are significant correlations between the fundamental values, the employer's attractiveness and word-of-mouth. The results of the study are based on a survey with 1996 answers from employees in three different municipalities in Stockholm, Sweden.

Detta examensarbete utfördes på Karlstads universitet för företaget Precer Autotech Innovation AB. Arbetet ägde rum våren 2014 under en 15 veckors period. Uppdraget var att ta fram en lättvikts fastbränsleförråd (främst för pellets) tillsammans med en fungerande frammatningsmekanism samt analysera olika möjliga placering av tanklock. Tanken ska sitta i en 2 dörrars halvkombi av kompakt SUV modell. På grund av sekretess har jag inte gått in i mycket i detalj på vilka fasta bränsle som kommer användas, rapporten kommer fokusera på själva uppdraget.Efter förstudien tog man fram olika koncepter utifrån kravspecifikationen från uppdragsgivare, därefter utvärderas koncepterna med olika beslutmatrisser till det bara fanns några koncepter kvar.

In Economic Geography, there has been a strong interest of how different forms of proximity impacts businesses. In addition, there is also a strong interest in business agglomeration, as a result businesses cluster together through physical proximity, networks and knowledge. In the development sector, there is a strong interest on how to best support the creations and growth of small enterprises.This essay emphasises on the business cluster formations in Katutura, a suburb to Windhoek the capital city of Namibia. It oversees the impacts of different types of cluster formations and their effects on the businesses. In addition, this essay will identify the main clusters in Katutura and state what makes them unique from each other and what is a common cluster feature.

The Swedish government?s objective regarding information technology is to be world-leading in using the possibilities that digitization provides. In some aspects this has already been done, but in some areas much is yet to be accomplished. Although sports and recreational fitness activities are amongst the fastest growing areas of personal and consumer-oriented cloud computing-based technologies around the globe, there are areas within the genre that?s not evolving as quickly.

This project aims to investigate whether algae can be used for biodiesel production in Italy. Algaes are a good option since they are fast growing and do not occupy arable land. The aspects that have been considered are growing, harvesting, which algae strain that is most suitable, extraction of oil, the production of biodiesel and where in Italy this could be possible due to climate. Cost? and energy calculations have been made to investigate if biodiesel produced from algae would be profitable. During the production of biodiesel there are several residues obtained. When the oil has been extracted from the algae, biogas is produced from the residual biomass by anaerobic digestion and then the electricity that can be produced is supplied to the production of biodiesel.

Solar energy is the one most talked about among energy sources due to its huge potential amongst renewable energy technologies. A greater use of the solar energy may be the solution to today's climate threats. Normally there are two different types of solar technologies, solar cells and solar thermal collectors. Solar cells convert solar energy in to electricity whilst solar thermal collectors convert solar energy into heat, which can be used to heat hot water for households. This goal of this study has been to investigate the possibility of implementing solar energy into the energy system of Kista Galleria, one of Sweden's foremost venues.
