The purpose of this work is to raise ideas and interest for land that is very much forgotten,unused and neglected in terms of maintenance and usability. Railroads are often seen as adirty and loud intrusion in the landscape and therefore cities turn their backs on them. Theland around railroads is not considered useful despite its often central location and scrublandis common in these areas.The starting point of this work is the restrictions and possibilities linked to the land withinthe security distance 30 meters from the railroad center. Within this security distance thereare numerous limitations and regulations due to the nature of railroad use. These limitationsare counted for in the initial chapter and lay the foundation for the rest of the work.
Fortsatt gran eller självföryngrad björk efter stormfällning? : en ekonomisk analys
The southern part of Sweden, Skåne, is frequently exposed to storms causing great damage to Norway spruce (Picea abies L. Karst.) stands. A storm during the winter 1999/2000 raised the attention of the problem. A lot of forest owners got large areas of spruce stands wind thrown during this storm. Can naturally regenerated birch (Betula sp.) be an alternative on these wind-exposed sites? This was the main question I was facing when discussilig the problems with Esben Möller Madsen, Söderåsens forest district.

Att genomföra förändringar är inget nytt. Redan 500 år före vår tideräkning sägs den grekiske filosofen Herakleitos ha myntat uttrycket ?Ingenting är permanent förutom förändringar?. I dagen föränderliga samhällen är det av stor vikt att kunna förändra sin organisation efter ändrade krav från omgivningen. Brist på kommunikation anses vara den främsta orsaken till att förändringar misslyckas samtidigt som god kommunikation ofta framhålls som ett tecken på framgångsrika förändringar.

This thesis examines information visualization, infographics, as a method of advertising. To answer the initial research question of what makes infographics an appropriate method for print advertising, a practical infographic-based advertising campaign has been designed. This, together with three other campaigns, has been the basis for an analysis focused on function, appeal and persuasion. The result tells us that there are benefits to using infographics for an advertising purpose, because the method can act both attention-grabbing and convincing, depending on how it is used and designed..

DELORES: Smartphone som stöd vid beteendeaktivering för depression : en studie av prediktorer för utfall
Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka möjliga prediktorer för utfallet i KBT-behandling vid depression, face-to-face samt i kombination med stöd av en smartphoneapplikation. 88 deltagare randomiserades till smartphone- (n = 45) eller face-to-face-betingelsen (n = 43). Utfallsmåttet var förändring i Beck Depression Inventory-II mellan förocheftermätning, främst beräknat med residual gain scores. Samband mellan prediktorer och utfall undersöktes medkorrelationsanalyser. Regressionsanalyser med interaktionen mellan prediktor och behandlingsbetingelse genomfördes för att undersöka skillnader mellan betingelserna.

Traditionally, the majority of Swedish public libraries have carried out most of their acquisitions through Bibliotekstjänst's binding booklets. In recent years, however, many libraries have complemented the binding booklets and other services from Bibliotekstjänst by other ways of acquiring books, such as Internet bookshops, while other libraries have stopped using the binding booklets altogether. There are various reasons for this development, such as Information Technology making it possible for librarians to compare prizes and services from different retailers. Another important reason is the need for public libraries to meet new needs from their patrons, while remaining on a restrained budget, which often causes a need for reorganization of staff and resources.As a way of meeting the new needs for libraries, Bibliotekstjänst has created Profile Services (profiltjänster), a service in which a library outsources its acquisitions to Bibliotekstjänst. The staff of the library, in dialogue with Bibliotekstjänst, design a profile for the acquisitions for the library in question, in order to determinate which types and genres of literature the library and its patrons are requesting.

There have been changes in Earth?s climate system on both global and regional scale since the pre-industrial era and some of these changes are due to human activities such as the combustion of fossil fuels. This calls for the development of engines with a higher efficiency and less harmful emissions. One interesting concept is the Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) engine, which has the advantages of potentially low emissions combined with high efficiency. However, HCCI with diesel fuel requires a relatively long fuel/air mixing time to ensure a "homogenous" charge.

AbstractMaterial collected or created through observations, discussions and interviews with a group of students studying theatre in the fist year of upper secondary school formed the base for this paper. The students that took part in the observations showed a variety of motivations for the studies in theatre, but the major aim was to obtain qualifications for further studies at university. Special focus was put on a student with dyslexia attending the course in theatre from the perspective to strengthen general learning abilities. The training and teaching in acting skills as performed in the theatre studio provided the arena for the observations. The aim was to investigate if an interactive process as defined by Lev Vygotskij and the acting method created by Constantin Stanislavski would create social and artistic development among the students in the study.
Kollisioner mellan domännamn och varumärken : Varumärkesrätten tillämpad på domännamnstvister i USA och Norden
I denna uppsats utreds varumärkesrättens tillämpning på domännamnstvister i USA och Norden. Frågan om denna tillämpning är enhetlig med den traditio-nella varumärkesrätten, och om denna traditionella rätt är tillräcklig eller lämp-lig för att hantera domännamnstvister, belyses.Det grundläggande syftet inom både nordisk och amerikansk varumärkesrätt är skyddandet av konsumenter genom förhindrandet av användning av förväx-lingsbart varumärke, och skyddandet av det upparbetade värdet i välkända va-rumärken. Trots rättsenhetlighet inom dessa två läror har USA också utvecklat en lära om initial intresseförväxling, vilket inte finner någon motsvarighet i Norden. Denna lära fokuserar på risken för en förväxling före köpet som skingras innan detta genomförs.Domännamn finnes vara lätta att registrera och ha en särskiljande funktion lik-nande varumärkens. Detta har lett till ett antal domännamnstvister i främst USA, men även Danmark har haft flertalet dylika tvister.
