New dwellings and commercial buildings in coastal regions has for some time now been a focal point. Old industrial harbours are regenerated into modern living areas with a recreational purpose. In Sweden the marina has not taken part in this development, thus remained in the monotony and large-scale structures of modernism. This graduation thesis looks upon the marina from a landscape architects point of view, where the marina foremost is a social venue. By revealing and discussing the development of the marina, its design and environmental consequence theories of the marinas future is presented. These theories are later tested upon the costal village of Rydebäck, south of Helsingborg. The thesis is structured in three parts: marina knowledge, proposal and resources. In the first part the historical development of the marina from prehistory time to now is discussed.

Examensarbetet har utförts på Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB (Siemens) i Finspång. De utvecklar och tillverkar bland annat gasturbiner som kan drivas på både gasformigt- och flytande bränsle. Syftet för arbetet är att skapa förutsättningar för att öka förståelsen för spraybildning av flytande bränsle, till detta används och vidareutvecklas en spridarrigg på Siemens.Siemens äldsta gasturbin SGT-500 utvecklades och sattes i drift under 1950 talet. Vid denna tid var det en spridare med spillflöde och ett munstycke med roterande atomisering som visade bäst egenskaper. Höga tryck i munstycket genererar en spraykon med finfördelade droppar.

My thesis is a combination of theory and practice, where theory is meant to create a context and a background for my interpretation proposal. I wanted to ?access? the ideas that are always in the background of the reasoning which underlies both planning in a larger scale, and the design of a place. I wanted to make a ?work of ideas.? In the process of shaping the proposal, I wanted to be deleted from the site itself.

Syfte: Vårt syfte är att, med två teoretiska ansatser som verktyg, analysera och illustrera servicemötet för att ge en fördjupad bild och en bättre förståelse för servicemötet som fenomen.Frågeställningar: - Vilka faktorer påverkar servicemötets kvalitetsaspekter för serveringspersonal och restauranggäst? - Hur kan ett dramaturgiskt perspektiv tänkas förtydliga bilden och underlätta förståelsen för restaurangens servicemöten? - Hur definieras ett positivt servicemöte och hur kan dessa uppfattningar tolkas? - På vilket sätt kan det statiska och individfokuserade perspektivet kompletteras med det dynamiska och processuella för att ge en tydligare bild och en djupare förståelse för servicemötet?Metod: Vi har använt oss av en abduktiv ansats där kvalitativa djupintervjuer ligger till grund för vårt resonemang i uppsatsen. Den kvalitativa undersökningsmetoden är bäst lämpad för vår undersökning då vårt syfte är att nå en djupare kunskap om servicemötet och vad som sker i interaktionen mellan servicegivaren och servicemottagaren.Slutsatser: Förväntningar på service och kvalitet förändras under servicemötets gång. Subjektiva uppfattningar och föreställningar ger servicemötet ett innehåll av spontanitet och individuella krafter. Vår studie visar att på liknande sätt som gästen tar med sig föreställningar och förväntningar tar även personalen med sig föreställningar och förväntningar till servicemötet.

Purpose: The theoretical purpose of the thesis is to identify the cost items that have the greatest impact on a TCO calculation for a centrifuge.

The limit for mercury in fish, set by health authorities, is exceeded in about half of the lakes in Sweden. Methyl mercury (MeHg) is the most toxic form of mercury and accumulates in fish. Therefore transformation of inorganic mercury (Hg) to methylmercury (MeHg) is an important process that we need to understand in order to possibly counteract the negative effects of mercury in the environment. The seasonal dynamics of mercury biogeochemistry is likely of great importance for the accumulation of MeHg in the aquatic food web. In thesis the chemical speciation and transformations of Hg and MeHg in bottom waters and sediments is followed in Ängessjön, a small lake located on the east coast in the middle of Sweden. The lake is not directly affected by any industrial pollution and concentrations of Hg in the sediment reflect the atmospheric deposition in this area, as well as processes taking place along the hydrological pathways from soil to lake. Samples from sediment, bottom- and streamwater were collected in average every second month during the period Feb.

IRB 340, Flexpicker is an industrial robot used for sorting, packaging and the handling of details up to two kg. The Flexpicker is a delta robot, meaning that it with three arms controls a triangular plate, swivel, in a work area shaped like a cylinder. Joints using plain bearings connect the arms.The plain bearing in use today consists of a plastic ring which slides against a hard anodized joint ball. Despite the fact that the plastic contain friction-lowering additives, the bearing needs to be lubricated to prevent noise. Because the robot is used in food and drug handling environments, where the demands on hygiene are set very high, the robot is often washed.

Highly polluted urban storm water from e.g. highways can contain large amounts of heavy metals that may cause harm if they are discharged into recipients. To remove the heavy metals a possible low-cost method that does not require much maintenance, could be the use of reactive filters with filter materials consisting of industrial residues or other cheap mineral based materials. Dissolved metal ions are removed by reactive filters through the processes of ions binding to active sites on the surface of the filter materials, or by formation of insoluble precipitates.The ability of CaO-treated granulated blast-furnace slag, iron oxide coated sand, olivine and nepheline to remove seven heavy metals (Cr, Cd, Cu, Ni, Zn, Pb and Hg) from urban storm water was studied. Initially batch experiments were performed where the effect of pH, dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and dissolved ions on the adsorption efficiency was studied.

This project is implemented as a thesis at the Royal Institute of Technology in the master?s degree program Integrated Product Design and Industrial Design Engineering. The project has involved development and efficiency of a free starter package for expectant parents with useful content consisting of useful products for both before and after childbirth. Areas that have been investigated include packaging development, service design and appropriate content for the package.During the work, theory about packaging design, materials, manufacturing techniques and logistics have been processed to base the further work on. The project process has involved competitor analysis and interviews with store owners and customer surveys, that have been conducted to identify areas for improvement of the current solution.

Detta examensarbetet har utförts i samarbete med företaget BXB Industrial Fittings och med handledning från Jönköpings Tekniska Högskola.Uppdraget ändrades under projektets gång, därför beskrivs genomgörandet i rapporten i två delar då vissa moment gjordes två gånger. Från början bestod uppdraget i att utveckla ett lås för maskinskyddsgaller, men ändrades till att istället utveckla adaptrar för oval- och PZ-cylindrar så att de enkelt kan monteras i det tidigare nämnda låshuset.Ovalcylindern är den låscylinder som är vanligast i Skandinavien, medan PZ-cylindern är den cylinder som är vanligast i övriga Europa. Problemet med dessa två låscylindrar är att de har olika dimensioner vilket gör att de inte kan monteras i samma låshus. Eftersom BXB:s lås säljs över hela Europa och kunder efterfrågar lås med samma funktion, men med olika låscylindrar anses en adapter som en bra lösning på detta problem.Då författarna inte tidigare hade någon erfarenhet av konstruktion av lås gjordes en grundlig patent- och marknadsundersökning för att skapa en bra grund för fortsatt arbete. Efter undersökningen startade författarna idégenereringsprocessen som resulterade i ett stort antal skisser på olika lösningsförslag.

Background ? The last 20 years healthcare has been facing increased demands on efficiency and increased customer satisfaction. This despite reduced resources and increasing demand. These demands are presents in all departments within healthcare organisations, including medical laboratories that currently receive an ever-increasing number of remittances. Laboratory flows are quickly becoming overloaded with samples and related materials.

In Sweden there are 560 000 disabled people over the age of 16, half of those are in use of some kind of mobility device.Living with a disability means that due to injury or illness you are having trouble functioning without devices or assistance in your daily life and has a big impact on the independence of the disabled user.The everyday life for disabled parents with young children are different depending on the type of disability and mobility device.Today there is no alternative to the stroller for the disabled user who use mobility advises. This causes problems when the disabled person on there own have/want to move the child.The following statement have been the cornerstone for this project: How to make it possible for a wheelchair user to move a child, in the 0-2 year, for longer distances with a focus on independence and safety for both adult children?Due the process, of industrial design, this question and problem have been solved during 10 weeks. The process have contained parts as meeting with users, analyzing, concept development, evaluations, mock-up making, testing, shape & color development etc. This in the end have resulted in a full scale model of the appearance of a proposed product.The result is a stroller witch can be connected to the users specific wheelchair due two one time adjustments.
