AbstractPurpose ? The purpose of this study is to examine the challenges that exist within thematerial handling process, to and from a department for service and maintenance at a hospital, and how the challenges can be managed to achieve a more efficient material handling process. In order to fulfill the purpose the following two questions where formulated:1. What challenges exist within the material handling process, to and from adepartment for service and maintenance at a hospital?2.

Today's fierce competition means that companies constantly must develop their business and internal processes. Focus on processes and continuous improvement is something that characterizes Lean Production which ICA logistics are applying with their concept Leading Logistics. Standardized routines for handling damaged gods were insufficient at the ICA distribution center in Kungälv. Handling and registration of damaged gods were not performed uniformly, resulting in problems with controlling and monitoring the process.The purpose of this thesis was to analyze and make recommendations how the process of internal handling of damaged gods could be improved. Therefore a comprehensive understanding was needed of the entire material flow through the warehouse and important quality aspects such as product safety and delivery reliability.The methods used are literature reviews, interviews and observations to produce a comprehensive process mapping of the current situation at the distribution center.

Stressful routines for animal handling can reduce immune function and productivity of animals. If stakeholders are handling animals aversively, animals will show increased expressions of fear for humans and higher stress levels which lead to the compromise of animals? welfare. In Ethiopia, there are no legislations to protect animals from suffering or discomfort. The main objective of this study was therefore to analyse welfare of cattle on animal markets in Ethiopia and map out supply chains of animals to these markets.

This master of science thesis is focusing on how the fault handling on hardware connected toa control unit on a Scania vehicle is working. To the hardware counts buttons levers, sensorsand CAN. The work has been concentrated upon how the fault handling is working and if it ispossible to find any new fault modes.The control unit that has been studied is called the Coordinator and is the core in Scanias threenetworks of control units. The Coordinators work is to transmit messages between the threenetworks and to process signals from buttons, levers and sensors. The values is then usedinternally or is sent to other control units on the CAN networks.

SAMMANDRAGI denna teoretiska uppsats jämförs och problematiseras filosofen Hannah Arendts (1906-1975)begrepp handling och filosofen Judith Butlers (1956-) begrepp performativitet. Genom dettaså jämförs även deras respektive användning av begreppet politik. Syftet med uppsatsen är attproblematisera användningen av dessa begrepp samt att jämföra dem med varandra ochargumentera för de likheter som finns. Ytterligare ett syfte är att argumentera för HannahArendts viktiga bidrag till samtida genusvetenskaplig forskning. !Först redogör jag för Hannah Arendts och Judith Butlers användning av begreppen var försig för att sedan göra jag en jämförande begreppsanalys där jag jämför likheterna mellan derasanvändning av begreppen.Mina slutsatser är att det finns ett flertal likheter mellan Arendt och Butlers teorier kringpolitik och villkoren för det mänskliga.

The study concerns the unloading of pigs at the slaughter house, both from the pigs view and from the transporters view. The study has been carried out at the slaughter house (SLP) in Helsingborg, Sweden. It includes a questionnaire to all transporters (65 % response) and a direct observation of the unloading. The transporters handling of the pigs, their use of different equipment and the response of the pigs has been studied. The pigs behaviour at unloading and their reactions to environmental factors has also been studied.

Today a large amount of manual handling is performed between the machining and the hardening process. Most of the manual handling is done at the heat treatment department. The purpose of this master thesis is to give a suggestion on how to reduce or eliminate the manual handling at the heat treatment department. The possibility to use the same packaging throughout the processes will also be investigated.

Agricultural commodity prices sharply fluctuate on the global market in recent years, affecting the profitability of farmers. High volatility market requires tools to reduce price variations and increases the need of decision-making (Bouder & Beth, 2003). Farm-based grain handling facilities increases the sale options regarding agricultural commodities; a flexible strategy to get additional compensation for the storing the grain produced on the farm (Edling, 2002; Edwards, 2013).

Bakgrund: På 1990-talet började hot och våld inom vården uppmärksammas vilket ledde till fler rapporter framkom inom området. Det finns dock fortfarande ett behov av att olika riskfaktorer som påverkar hot och vålds utbredning och konsekvenserna för sjuksköterskan. Syfte: Syftet var att belysa riskfaktor som finns gällande hot och våld gentemot sjuksköterskor på somatiska sjukhusavdelningar för vuxna samt sjuksköterskans hantering och eventuella konsekvenser av hot och våld. Metod: Resultatet bygger på 17 kvantitativa vetenskapliga artiklar som kritiskt genomlästs och granskats. Resultat: Resultatet visade att det fanns organisatoriska, patient- och sjuksköterskerelaterade riskfaktorer för hot och våld.

I denna uppsats utreds om det otydligt definierade begreppet mångfald kan överföras från visioner i kulturpolitiska dokument till handling i Malmös kultursektor. Som förklaringsmodell används Nils Brunssons teori om organisatoriskt hyckleri. Uppsatsen är uppdelad i två delar, varav den första behandlar hur det talas om mångfald i några styrande kulturpolitiska dokument medan den andra behandlar mångfaldsbegreppets överförande till handling.I del ett konstateras, med hjälp av en textanalys som har sin utgångspunkt i tidigare kulturpolitisk forskning, att begreppet mångfald förekommer i två sammanhang: i den första betonas kulturell artrikedom och i den andra identitetspolitisk grupptillhörighet, främst etnisk sådan. I denna uppsats presenterar och diskuterar författaren tre invändningar som riktats mot dygdetikern Rosalind Hursthouses förslag om vad som är en moraliskt riktig handling. Hursthouse menar att en handling är moraliskt riktig om den är vad en dygdig agent karaktärsenligt skulle göra i omständigheterna. Den form av invändningar som författaren presenterar och diskuterar i uppsatsen försöker visa på att Hursthouses förslag exkluderar handlingar som vanligen anses är rätt.Författaren argumenterar för att en dygdetik lik den Neo-Aristoteliska dygdetik Hursthouse försvarar kan formuleras så att den undgår invändningar som presenteras i uppsatsen. Författaren föreslår att vi istället för att förstå Hursthouses förslag som om det gällde de faktiska handlingar som en dygdig agent gör, istället bör uppmärksamma att en dygdig agent följer handlingsmaximer vilka hon prövat under sin moraliska utveckling till att bli dygdig. Författaren föreslår vidare att det är huruvida en handling utgår från en maxim som karaktärsenligt kan ingå i ett dygdigt liv som är avgörande om den är moraliskt riktig eller inte..

It is important that companies knows how to handle a complaint when they receive one from a customer. This information could the company take care of and use when they develop new services. Furthermore a good complain handling leads to satisfied and loyal customers which increases the revenue for the company. We have examined how SAS handle their internal information process and if this process affects the information and in that case how. The study is performed with a qualitative method, based on deep interviews.
