Internet access has been a part of the range in public libraries for approximately a decade. The Swedish municipals, in charge of the public libraries, and the libraries themselves, have a great deal of saying in how they should be run, what to offer the public, how many hours they have to stay open etcetera. The Library law is very vague on many things, including public Internet access. Even though Sweden is ranked as first runner up worldwide when it comes to Internet penetration among the population (Internet World Stats 2007), approximately twenty percent in the 16-74 age group does not have Internet access at home, at work or at school (SCB 2006a). In this master thesis we try to determine, through personal interviews, how six of those in charge feel about Internet at their libraries, all located in medium-sized municipals (20 000 ? 40 000 inhabitants), why they have chosen the rules and regulations they have and their thoughts about what they consider to be the most important assignment of public libraries.

Syftet med studien har varit att undersöka om det finns skillnader i attityder hos de arbetsgivare som har anställt personer med funktionshinder, jämfört med de arbetsgivare som tog emot personer med funktionshinder som praktikanter, i grupperna över sex månader och under sex månader, samt om arbetsgivarens attityd har påverkat längden på praktiken? Metoden var kvalitativa intervjuer med sex arbetsgivare som varit i kontakt med Misas dagliga verksamhet. Resultatet visade framförallt att störst skillnad i attityd, mellan intervjupersonerna som anställt personer med funktionshinder och dem som tog emot praktikanter med funktionshinder. Arbetsgivare som anställde personer med funktionshinder hade mer tillit och förtroende för personen och ansåg att personer med funktionshinder kunde uppfylla deras krav, samt att lönebidrag var största anledningen att anställa personer med funktionshinder. Arbetsgivarna som tog emot praktikanter med funktionshinder trodde däremot inte att personer med funktionshinder kunde uppfylla arbetskraven samt fungera väl utifrån alla faktorer som är viktiga på arbetsplatsen.

Executive summaryThe aim of this study is to examine how the favourability and brand exposure of Norwegian has been damage by their supplier, Boeing 787:s, problems concerning the aircraft Dreamliner. The theoretical framework underlies the content analysis that has been used to operate the study. In total the empirical data rise up to 623 articles that has been collected and analysed from the media archive Retriever. Compares to before and after Boeing 787:s problem with the Dreamliner, the results indicates that the favourability of Norwegian in the Swedish media landscape during the problems was negatively affected. The results also show that there was no increase in brand exposure for Norwergian during the problems.

Den här uppsatsen handlar om kvinnor som upplevt misshandel i nära relationer. Vi har försökt beskriva deras upplevelser och uppnå en djupare förståelse av deras situation, ur ett socialpsykologiskt perspektiv.I uppsatsen kommer ni att få tag del av erfarenheter från fyra kvinnor som arbetar på ett Kriscenter, dit misshandlade kvinnor kan vända sig för att få hjälp och skydd. Det handlar om dom svaga typiserade och schablonmässiga från romanerna: Ellen, en förtyckt arbetarflicka, Dagmar som på något sätt försöker bevara husfriden till allt pris, Harriet Skotte en kvinna för kärlekens och tidens ideal. Det handlar även om de nya starka kvinnobilderna från perioden kring sekelskiftet: Märta som representant för den borgarkvinna medveten om sin tids moral, den okända kvinnan som skildras med en inre styrka som gör att hon håller emot den orättvisa könsrelationerna och samtidigt älskar sin man för kärlekens skull, inte lojaliteten, vi har Helga Gregorius som tar sitt äktenskap i egna händer och försöker styra sin framtid, och slutligen den starkaste kvinnobilden av dem alla, Lydia. Lydia, en kvinnobild som tävlar på samma villkor som männen, som är i makt över sin egen sexualitet och samtidigt lever ett liv som sedan länge innan hade varit vigt åt männen. Detta är vad uppsatsen försöker presentera, en ny syn på Hjalmar Söderbergs romankonst och hans kvinnobilder. Hur nära den verkliga samtiden låg Söderbergs beskriving av kvinnorna? Det är en central fråga för uppsatsen.

När ett företag befinner sig i kris är ledarskapet viktigare än någonsin, en av de större kriser som ett företag kan hamna i är turnaroundfasen. En fas där ledningen är i behov av en drastisk förändring för att kunna vända företaget. Personen som försatte företaget i denna kris saknar möjligen både kunskap och legitimitet för att vända företag till en positiv riktning och det kan istället bli aktuellt med en nyrekrytering. Dessa rekryteringar sköts oftast inte av företagen själva utan ansvaret delas mer eller mindre med rekryteringsföretag som specialiserat sig inom chefsrekrytering. Problematiken kring en nyrekrytering är att definiera vilka attribut och faktorer som är viktiga hos den nya ledaren.

För att förändra behövs tillgång till kompetenser. Olika verksamheter har olika behov av kompetensutveckling för att nå sina mål. Att finna behov av kompetenser i förhållande till verksamhetens mål, kan vara en början på att rätt kompetens hamnar på rätt plats utifrån de satsningar som görs. En utvärdering kan göras för att utvisa om verksamheten är på rätt väg mot förändring. Uppsatsens syfte är att skapa förståelse för kompetensutvecklingens betydelse för att verksamheten ska kunna förändras.

The purpose of this master-thesis in library and information studies is to investigate how different views on children´s literature show up in pedagogical work in preschool. The aim is also to study methods used in the pedagogical work with literature. Are there any connections between views and methods? Is any view predominant or are they used in combination? The question at issue is: "Are there any connections between different views on childrens literature and pedagogical methods in preschool, and if so, how do they show?" The framework of theory is based on epistemological concepts viewing children´s literature by John Hultberg. In "Om humaniora, litteratur och tradition" he sorts out three strategies: the pragmatic, the traditional, and the emancipating.

The relation between LIS and physical bibliography is examined primarily through an analysis of such LIS literature as applies physical bibliography in research or otherwise discusses its relevance to information studies. Quite a number of scholars are stressing the usefulness of this bibliographical tradition, even though its position in LIS agenda as a whole seems to be less established. These scholars suggest that physical bibliography presents interesting conceptual and theoretical implications for many of the central objects of study in LIS, for example, knowledge organization, information retrieval, and information seeking. It is also suggested that physical bibliography could help deepen our knowledge and understanding of the digital media ecology. Physical bibliography is foremost seen as a method for the analysis of documents, a method in which not least its terminological apparatus may be a significant tool.

This thesis studies the relationship between risk and the first day returns of Initial Public Offerings (IPO) by assessing the risk of each issuing company with a risk model that combine financial key ratios of importance. The study is based on 92 IPO?s that were made on the Stockholm OMX stock exchange during the period of 1997-2009. The point of departure was to investigate if the uncertainty created by the asymmetric information between investors and the issuing firm could be captured by predicting the possibility of failure in the future. This has been studied by applying Skogsvik?s probability of failure model on the 92 issuing firms.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate what preschool teachers now about children in crisis and and how to manage crisis. It´s also about what children in preschool understand about death. Literature studies have been made to get a better idea about what to do when you are in the middle of a crisis situation and to find out how children reacts when they are in grief. Four preschool teachers have been interviewed from two different preschools and three children at the same preschool. The interviews show theire knowledge about preschool children in crisis and how to deal whit the crisis.

The purpose of this master´s thesis is to examine how the cultural exchange function of Swedish libraries may be perceived on their websites. A further intention is to examine how the library websites are used at the present. Two quantitative web-based surveys have been sent out to a great number of Swedish public libraries. The first survey was directed to the webmasters of the libraries, in order to review the different services offered by the Swedish library websites of today. The second survey was conducted with library directors, in order to visualise what services they consider ought to be present on their own library website.

This paper investigates how students in the humanities in four universities in Sweden reflect on their education and the current view on the humanities as an education and a science. I want to investigate what impact the past few years public debate about the humanities have had on the students. What kind of beliefs and identities do the students of the humanities form and how do they discuss the universities, the choices they made in life and how do they feel about the future.This study is based on interviews with seventeen students in Sweden from four different universities. The research is also based upon a report that The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise (Svenskt Näringsliv) published in 2011 and the debate following that report. I have also made participant observations on the four universities to make a broader description for the reader.
