Many children in Sweden are exposed to maltreatment. Among the purposes of the Child health care (CHC) are to decrease mortality, infirmity and handicaps among mothers and their children, and to decrease hurtful strains for parents and their children. CHC-nurses get critizism for not reporting child maltreatment in high enough numbers to the Social service. The aim of this study was to chart how CHC-nurses finds their work with families suffering from maltreatment. Ten CHC-nurses were interviewed with semistructured interviews.

Background: One of the healthcare tasks is to inform and support patients. Information and support is very important for the management of the disease in patients with psoriasis. Healthcare often focuses on the medical aspects and can easily forget about the individual behind the disease.Aim: To explore what kind of information and support patients with psoriasis receive and need to manage their skin disease.Method: Quantitative study with descriptive design and qualitative elements by analysis of the questionnaire with open questions. The study included 22 participants.Findings: The majority of participants responded that they had received information about various therapies, medications and generally about psoriasis. The information participants most often responded they needed, was essentially continuous information and updates on treatments and knowledge about psoriasis according to medical science.

There's a good adherence to the vaccination of children, about 98% of all two year olds are vaccinated. Despite this, there are cases of whooping cough and measles in Sweden. The purpose of the study was to describe what motivates parents to not vaccinate and reflections and attiudes about vaccinations. The study had a descriptive design with qualitative approach. Eight parents who had chosen not to follow the National Board of Health?s vaccination program or whom had decided to completely abandon, participated in the study.

This study examines counselors understanding of body fixation (alt: body image fixation) as a social problem among young women aged 15-25 years. Earlier research on this subject highlights the standards and ideals placed on the female body where happiness is associated with a slim body figure. Research has shown that young women that compare their own bodies with others are at higher risk at developing an unhealthy relationship with their body, which can lead to eating disorders. The data for this study was collected through semi-structured interviews with nine counselors from youth clinics, schools and primary healthcare. The results were interpreted and analysed in the light of social constructionist perspective as developed by Berger & Luckmann and Loseke's social constructionist definition of social problems.

På grund av en ökad befolkningsmängd och nya tekniker som gör fler sjuka går att bota ställs nya krav på svensk sjukvård. Sjukvården måste möta de nya kraven med ett bättre effektivare resursanvändande och där till krävs nya förbättringsmetoder. Med influenser från industriell tillverkning har sjukvården omarbetat lean production för att skapa ett universellt förbättringsverktyg som lämpar sig för vårdorganisationer. Verktyget kallas lean healthcare och är omdiskuterat och dess effekter tvetydiga. Att undersöka om och hur värdeflöden i en akutmottagnings triage, som innebär en prioritering efter patienters allvarlighetsgrad, kan effektiviseras med hjälp av ett flödesorienterat arbetssätt som lean.

A result is reached by a thematically constructed analysis were citations are presented and analyzed. Result & Conclusions: The study shows through the model that has been used that first line managers are highly affected by administrative tasks that can be linked to New Public Management. The participant managers see these related tasks as important for the organizations and natural in their profession. Contribution of the thesis: The study contributes with an increased understanding of the managing of first line managers and how it is affected by New Public Management related administration through a perspective that is lacking in previous research. For many parents, this is a difficult experience, which may cause stress among parents who want to be supportive for their child. Parents and children have a close bond and influence each other emotionally; therefore it is of great importance that parent?s experiences of hospitalization should be noted. The pediatric nurse may apply this experience to give the best possible care for the child and the family.

Syftet med denna uppsats är därför att studera hur viktig kommunikationen mellan ledning och personal har varit för integrationen mellan svenska Pfizer Consumer Healthcare och McNeil Sverige AB. Det intressanta med denna integration är att en stor organisation uppgår i en mindre, vilket sker sällan. Genom att studera detta kan förståelsen för vikten av kommunikationsprocesser breddas.

The aim of the present literature study was to define and describe the area ?compliance in veterinary medicine? (i.e. the way treatment recommendations are being performed) and discuss the factors that influence the level of compliance. Based on the findings, a model that intended to increase compliance in orthopedic postoperative rehabilitation of dogs was designed. In the daily work as a veterinary nurse it is essential that one provides the best possible care to the animals from the beginning to the end of the treatment.

Female genital mutilation (FGM) is an ancient custom which is practiced in many African countries. After years of disturbances in these countries many Africans have immigrated to Sweden. Society has an obligation to offer parents support of various types, an example of such a support is ?parent support?. The purpose of this study has been to describe midwives and child health care nurses conceptions of the need for early parent support. The definition of early parent support in this study is the first two weeks after delivery. Since the 1970:ies the Swedish delivery and ?BB? care has changed in that the time in hospital care after delivery has been reduced from in average six days, till an average of two days.

SammanfattningDetta är en studie av sjuksköterskors bemötande av patienter på Sjukvårdsrådgivningen i Region Skåne. Syftet är att undersöka hur det helhetstänkande som är vanligt förekommande i teoretiska debatter om sjukvården är förankrat i den praktiska verksamheten. Jag fokuserar på bemötande som kompetens, och studerar dess plats och auktoritet i organisationen. Jag undersöker även hur helhetstänkandet praktiskt fungerar i mötet mellan sjuksköterska och patient genom att fokusera på hur kön och sexualitet synliggörs och beaktas i samtalen.Jag utgår från Judith Butlers teori om den heterosexuella matrisen och om hur kön och sexualitet görs genom social interaktion. Jag använder mig också av intersektionalitet som ett analysverktyg.
