In the political world of today the discussion of Just wars are very present, since the international law and the UN Charter provides certain rules about when it is justified to go to war (jus ad bellum) and how a justified war should be conducted (jus im bello). The discussion about jus ad bellum and jus im bello derives from the theory of Just war. Both in international law and the Just war theory, focus is on interstate wars were the actors are two sovereign states. Since the end of the Cold War there has however been a change in the way wars are conducted. From interstate to intrastate warfare, where the government in most cases no longer has the monopoly over the warfare.According to these facts, my conclusion is that the Just war theory has to expand and incorporate a focus on the human rights in order to be able to meet the new standards of the new wars.

In Europe, the central governments are the ones to coordinate the international standards and strategies regarding GPP; Green Public Procurement. However in Spain a GPP program was introduced late and only applied to the Central Government Institutions, (AGEA) (BOE nr. 027, 2008). These means that smaller administrations, such as, Autonomous Regions, Municipalities and Town Councils were not included in the program. The absence of a national program which excludes those governments made them introduce their own criteria for GPP, and the difference in criteria varies from one government to the other.

Incubators have grown more popular in recent years. Studies have shown that companies that have been part of an incubator grow faster and have a higher survival rate. The Swedish government realizes that this benefits the economy. Therefore they have started different funding programs in order to support the incubators. The thesis aims to explore the underlying reasons for why companies that have been part of an incubator often experience high growth.

This study is about gender in classroom situations. The purpose is to examine if gender still exist although the government has educated gender teachers. I have been observing students during lessons and taken notes on teacher´s comments, which analysed. I have come to the conclusion that the students are awase of the power roles conserning gender and gender. In this classroom the heteronormativity still is a common phenomenon.

I examensarbetet undersöks de två företeelserna orienterbarhet och rörelse i stadsplaneringssammanhang. Genom att koppla ihop teori och praktik ges en ökad kunskap om hur orienterbarhet och rörelse fungerar.Först sker en teoretisk litteraturstudie av vad några stadsanalyser påstår och påvisar gällande orienterbarhet och rörelse. I studien ingår författarna Kevin Lynch, Inger Bergström, Bill Hillier, Gordon Cullen och Jan Gehl. Både orienterbarhet och rörelse som är tätt sammankopplade, påverkas till stor del av omgivningen. I litteraturstudien ges exempel på analysmetoder som kan användas för att undersöka orienterbarhet och rörelse på en plats/stad.De studerade teorierna och analyserna appliceras på den planerade stads-delen, Västra Centrum i Varberg, som är fallstudieobjekt i examensarbetet.

The Swedish Migration Board has during a long time had problems with long processing times for persons that apply for asylum. The government has set targets that investigation should not exceed 6 months although it is done in almost 70% of cases.The study's aim has been to examine if steering can be linked together to long processing times and, if so, explain why. The intention has not been to provide a comprehensive picture of the problem but has defined itself to ensure steering impact. The study has been carried out by studying relevant governing documents, previous research and by interviews with administrators and decision-makers in two of the Migration Board asylum units.The analyses of the study show that a combination of inadequate steering and inadequate resources have contributed to aggravate the implementation, which has lead to long processing times..

This leads to the questions that the essay is meant to answer; 1. Were the motives behind the two decisions for the Swedish military defense of economic character or an adjustment of security and defense policy? 2. Was the parliament united in the two decisions and if they were not, why? 3.

Den obeslutsamhet som finns kring val av framtida yrke och utbildning är ett väldigt intressant område, då alla människor står inför de valen någon gång i livet. Det kan finnas en rad olika faktorer som påverkar utbildnings- och yrkesval. Syftet med denna undersökning är att öka förståelsen kring ungdomars tankar angående framtida utbildnings- och yrkesval. Vi avser att undersöka de faktorer som främst påverkar ungdomar inför deras utbildnings- och yrkesval och hur de planerar att ta sig dit. Genom att göra en kvalitativ undersökning fick vi en djupare förståelse för hur elever som läser sista året på samhällsvetenskapliga programmet tänker kring sina utbildnings- och yrkesval.

In a global context the traditional democratic process is facing new challenges. Scholars are talking about a transition from government to governance, where local and regional networks as well as international collaboration are an important part in how regional policy is produced and implemented. In this paper the processes in regional projects funded by the European Union are considered, and related to the traditional democratic process. The study has been fulfilled through informant interviews with representatives from four EU-projects. The interviews are supplemented by a qualitative text analysis of current statutes.

The subject of this thesis is the history of the library at The Göteborg Museum of Art. The aim of the thesis is to depict and analyze the emergence and the expansion of the library?s holdings until 1939. To fulfill the aim, two questions are asked. The first question is: Is it possible to argue that the library?s holdings were collected to document the entire world of art? The question is formulated in relation to a comment by Susan Wyngaard.

The Sweden democrats are a political party that has had a time of success duringthe last year. However many people believe them to be a racist party, in contrastto how they view themselves and their political message. How is it possible thatthe views of the same party differ to this extent, it seems to be a large ambiguityin their message. Rhetoric is a tool that everybody uses in some way or anotherand can be crucial to how a political party is perceived by people. Can thereforethe use of rhetoric be a factor that has contributed to the different perception of theparty and if so, in which way?With the help of theories such as semiotics, classical rhetoric and antiestablishmentstrategy, different texts, such as motions, and pictures published bythe Sweden democrats can be analyzed to find ways they use rhetoric.In the analysis it was obvious that they used rhetoric, even though therhetorical quality differed between the leading persons in the party and the peoplewho represented the Sweden democrats in the local government.

Detta arbete behandlar hur attityden mot militären var bland civila ur olika intressesfärer i Boden mellan åren 1900 till 1940. Frågeställningarna är: Hur var de olika civila intressegruppernas attityder mot militären i Boden? Och: Hur påverkades fritidsverksamheter? Det vill säga nöjesutbudet och föreningslivet. Teorin är att relationerna mellan civilister och militärer påverkades av hur de gynnades av varandra. Arbetet har också till någon del försökt belysa hur Boden som samhälle kunde utvecklas tack vare militärens ankomst.

This essay examines migration paths through Sweden. There has been a debate in August 2010 that Sweden is regarded as a backdoor for non European immigrants to come over Denmark. It has been discovered through Denmark?s statistics and is regarded as negative by the Danish government. Denmark and Sweden are two countries that are socio- , economically- and culturally similar, but went in two different directions, especially with immigration policy.

The UN has a goal to gender-mainstream all politics, but its politics in climate change is not gender-sensitive. The Swedish government has the same goal concerning gender mainstreaming, but does the Swedish politics of climate change reach this goal? The aim of this paper is to examine the relations between the Swedish politics of gender and climate change. In addition, the aim is also to investigate how gender is constructed in the climate politics. To reach these aims, an institutional, policy and gender analysis is used.
