Summary:Teenage girls? choice of dropping out or complete a treatment.The purpose of this study is to investigate, from a client?s perspective, why teenage girls (age 13 to 17) drop-out or complete a treatment at Familjehuset in Karlstad, Sweden. We also want to investigate if the teenage girls? experiences coordinate with the social workers opinion of why the teenage girls choose to drop-out or complete the treatment. Earlier research shows that many factors influence the client?s choice.

Background:Public health is a concern of many important areas of society and it`s important that Sweden works with the health of the individual through the eleven public health areas. Health isn`t longer only a objective but even a resource. That`s why the society works with the health of the individual through a salutogenic perspective, about what can preserve or enhance the health of the individual.Aim:The aim of this study is to find out what the staff at a nursing home has views of what health can bring, and also study how health affects their ability to work. Also to study the employee`s apprehension of the wellness reimbursement that employer offers them.Material and Method:A qualitative method was used to obtain results from eight interviews with health care workers in Skåne. Interviews were transcribed and analyzed using content analysis.Results:For the interview person?s health means to feel good and be healthy.

The purpose of this study was to understand what the care recipients considering as care quality in their long-term eldercare. Our intention has been to contribute a bit to the development of the care work. Previous studies show that user surveys are carried out regularly but there is very few studies that are based on care recipients own opinions and experiences. The main questions in the study have been to examine what is considered as good elder care from a user perspective. Even to understand the characteristics of a good meeting with the care staff and also examine how the elder care in Nybro municipality can improve.

This report evaluates whether normal approximation or resampling is to prefer for estimating the distribution of the sample mean and functions of the sample mean. The evaluation relies on simulation studies. The observations of the sample are allowed to be differently distributed. In the case of sample means they are also allowed to be dependent.For sample means the two approximations behaves very similar. The most important component whether we have a good or a bad approximation is how good the approximations catch the variance of the true distribution.

Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att identifiera hur nivån av empowerment utvecklats i en organisation som utsatts för högre krav av effektivitet, hur det förändrat ledarskapet och de anställdas situation, som en ansats till att bidra till den organisationsteoretiska forskningen. Metod: Metodvalet byggde på undersökningens syfte att undersöka nivån av empowerment inom ett företag som genomgått en stor organisatorisk förändring. Metoden som användes för att tillgodose syftet var kvalitativ. Den kvalitativa studien genomfördes med en hermeneutisk utgångspunkt, där den enskilde individen fick beskriva sin upplevelse och erfarenhet av empowerment, för att ge svar på hur empowerment påverkats i en organisation som gått från monopol till konkurrens. Uppsats har en deduktiv ansats, då befintliga teorier som behandlar empowerment legat som grund för utformandet av intervjuunderlaget, som sedan kopplats ihop med det empiriska materialet, utifrån detta har sedan slutsatserna dragits. Slutsatser: Slutsatserna som dragits av författarna till denna studie, är att empowerment nivån i en organisation som gått från monopol till konkurrens höjs. Dessutom verkar en organisation, som gått från monopol till en konkurrensutsatt situation, utvecklas likt en empowermentkultur, för att kunna anpassas till marknadens krav.

Metod: Vi har valt att göra en uppsats med både kvantitativ och kvalitativ inriktning. Underlaget för undersökningen har varit intervjuer med 19 respondenter i fyra olika verksamheter. Slutsatser: I tre av de fyra fall vi undersökt kan vi konstatera att den individuella lönesättningen inte fungerar.

The study's empirical data was obtained through ten semi-structured interviews with analysts, consultants and fund managers.Results and conclusions:It was revealed by the study that companies producing a sustainability report demonstrates transparency and are perceived as a company that is aware of risk, both economic risks as well as external risks. The study also shows that among the study's respondents, there is a strong belief that sustainable business in the long term is a good investment. The study also indicates that this is no concrete evidence of an association between the use of sustainability reporting and either increased or decreased profitability.

This report describes a synchronous machine model with magnetic saturation in d-axis, neutralconnection and electrical exciter interface for the transient simulator PSCAD/EMTDC. It hasbeen designed and verified in comparison to the regular machine model in EMTDC.The performance of the model is very good when incorporating a linear as well as a saturatedmagnetising inductance. The dynamic deviation is only thousandths to ten thousandths perunit. By using a cubic interpolation of the saturation curve, the model gives a good representationof the saturation effect. The open source code implementation of the synchronousmachine model gives the possibility to easily adapt the model to specific requirements.The derived model makes it possible to simulate a synchronous machine with its excitationsystems, e.g.

Denna förändring i apotekskedjornas och farmaceuternas omvärld gjorde att flera intressenter i apoteksbranschen ville stärka apotekens och farmaceuternas roll som en del av hälso- och sjukvård. Således publicerade intressenter i apoteksbranschen, gemensamt, en etisk riktlinje ? svensk Good Pharmacy Practice. Samtidigt som riktlinjen innebar ett förslag på en lösning på ett problem så gav den också upphov till en osäkerhet för de enskilda apotekskedjorna; en osäkerhet som varje enskild organisation måste hantera.

Två av de stora debatterna inom skolvärlden hösten 2012 rör nationella prov och dokumentation; provens likvärdiga bedömning ifrågasätts i en rapport från Skolinspektionen, och lärare och dess fackföreningar uttrycker missnöje med mängden administration i skolan. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka vilka betydelser som några svensklärare på gymnasiet tillmäter nationella prov utifrån aspekter som likvärdig bedömning och Skolverkets mål att proven ska vara ett stöd i att konkretisera styrdokumenten. Nästa steg är att analysera resultatet utifrån teorier om att skolan allt mer präglas av ökad dokumentation och företagisering. During spring 2009 a three meter tall and laughing robot was developed in collaboration between Royal Institute of Technology and Royal University College of Fine Arts. The robots function and esthetics is based on an existing toy robot called Elmo. Elmo is 30 cm tall but now the goal was to make it 1000 times bigger in order to present it on the spring exhibition of Royal University College of Fine Arts. Due to only four months of developing and building time a demand of fast determination and good planning was required. In order to make a good structure for the project it is divided into five phases: Analysis of Elmo, planning, concept development, detail construction and finally product development and testing.In the first phase valuable knowledge is obtained according to the movements and geometry of Elmo.

Method: Our investigation has been made at seven companies in the county of Blekinge by making personal interviews with people in both production and business departments at each of the companies.

While designing an intranet for people with mobile work there are things you have to consider. This thesis is aim to bring understanding to the difficulties involved in these kinds of situations. Our focus is to develop ideas that motivate the assistants to use the intranet. We have looked into the profession of personal assistants and wish to highlight their problems to access the intranet. And we will as well demonstrate their needs for communication.

In this Master thesis, microwave connections between circuit boards are constructed. The primary frequency band is the X-band (8-12 GHz). The purpose of the connections is to enable a more simple and cheaper way of mounting the circuit boards inside a container. The connections have been designed and evaluated, using different computer programs. A few prototypes have been built and measured.
