Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur pedagoger i Kalmar och Karlskrona kommun arbetar med drama och hur de synliggör genus i dramaarbetet. Genom att använda enkäter försökte vi bilda oss en uppfattning om pedagogernas tankar och syften med drama, om de använder sig av drama samt vad de anser inkluderas i en dramaverksamhet. Enkäten riktade sig även på genus, där pedagogernas syn på flickor och pojkar kunde synliggöras. Samtliga förskolor ansåg att det inte förekom någon skillnad mellan pojkar och flickor i deras dramaverksamhet. Tre förskolor observerades för att ge ytterligare djupare förståelse i ämnena genus och drama.

Based on this objective we arrived at twomain formulations of questions; how administrators of economic aid deliberate aroundequality and inequality between sexes in connection to applications for financial support, aswell as which variables in organisations sustain or discourage inequalities between genders inaid management.

This paper takes it points of departure in a gender equality perspective and the perceived paradox between the governmental labour market policy and family policy. The first policy area has the aim to put people to work, whereas the other introduces a reform, vårdnadsbidraget, that point in the opposite direction. Which are the problem representations within the two policy areas and are the problem representations concordant or contradictive? From a constructivist perspective, langue is closely related to power through defining and ascribing meaning to reality. Drawing on political documents, speeches and articles formulated within the government, this paper analyzes problem representations through the use of discourse analysis and feminist political theory.

Studien undersöker hur genus tar sig uttryck i förskolan. Syftet är att undersöka hur de traditionella könsmönster och könsroller som finns påverkar pedagogernas yrkesroll. Följande frågeställningar har därför utmynnat, hur behandlas barnen i förskolan utifrån deras kön? och hur ser pedagogerna på genus i förskolan? Dessa studeras genom observationer i verksamheten där flickor och pojkars skillnader i förhållande till genus kommer undersökas. Studien undersöker även pedagogers tankar om genus för att kunskapen ska bli fördjupad.

Positive action is measures that usually constitute discrimination but which are justified when achieving the purpose of an effective equality between people of the society. This study deals with questions about male and female, power and church, related to the Mariologies of three prominent leaders in the Church of Sweden in the last century: Erling Eidem, Paulina Mariadotter and Cristina Grenholm. The mentioned topics are important for conservative High Church people as well as for radical feminists, and they are therefore necessary to address in the context of discussions about the church´s identity and the search of greater unity.Each Mariology is related to contemporary ideas about the relations between male and female, and to the tradition of the church as the leaders themselves see it. During the years 1920-2010 the relations between the sexes changed a lot as a result of the impact of modernity, which also affected how people perceived the relationship between the individual and the tradition/authorities. The present study concludes that there is a connection between Mariology and contemporary ideas about male and female. However, the Mariologist´s attitude to the tradition of the church seems to decide which perspective is allowed to dominate.

The aim of this thesis is to show gender equality in school for teacher's choice of words with gender-sensitive language related to children's literature "Do you know Pippi Longstocking?". Work has focused on preschool and grade 1. The theme of the thesis is that the teaching profession should look human. The study provides a literature review of the teacher's choice of words in the gender order as the words hen, man, gender, sex, etc., and a review of Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren on the basis of the related concepts.

Gender is a universal factor that is unavoidable in classroom interaction between pupils and teachers. The principle aim of this essay is to illustrate whether, during the interaction between pupil and teachers still occurs behavior that expresses a gender order. We also want to establish if the ones who attract attention from the teachers is the individual, or if teachers still on a subconscious or conscious level, think of the pupils gender and ascribes him or her some characteristics or qualities. Especially we want to bring out the pupils thoughts and sights of there is a difference on how teachers treat boys and girls. Another purpose we wanted to achieve was to illustrate how teachers work with the concept of equivalence between the sexes, according to Lpo94.Our essay is built on our studies around what teachers think on how they treat the pupils, on the basis of gender perspective.

In Stockholm there are currently five women, out of a total of 102 employees, working in public sports arenas. In sports arenas men are numerically superior amongst the workers as well as the visitors. These arenas are in many ways male dominated, masculinized environments. In this essay I investigate the reasons behind the uneven distribution, in terms of gender, among sports arena workers. I do this by interviewing seven female sports arena workers (the five current and two former), and by observing their workplaces.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera betydelsen av genus/kön i samhällsplanering med hänseende på arbete med miljökonsekvensanalyser. I studien speglas framställningar av varianter i begreppen natur, kultur och miljö samt hur de behandlas i relation till genus/kön. Varianter på begreppen ställer jag i förhållande till att arbeta med miljökonsekvens analysbeskrivningar (MKB). Vidare tar jag upp hur arbete med MKB kan påverkas av genus/kön i Sverige 2003. Startpunkten i studien är en intervjuundersökning på ett konsultföretag som genomför miljökonsekvensanalyser.

This essay focuses on the implementation of the strategy gender mainstreaming in the European Union and the member states. It starts to identify problems connected to the implementation process and recognizes significant prerequisites for an efficient implementation of the strategy. The main problems and prerequisites are: political will, governance and structure and knowledge about gender equality. The empirical material consists of reports from the EU that touches upon gender mainstreaming and gender equality. The problems and prerequisites will be analysed in relation to the governance perspectives top-down and bottom-up and expert bureaucratic and participative democratic and gender and feminism.

This paper attempts to display how five teachers of social studies use and relate to the policy documents and their instructions on gender. To penetrate the subject, five teachers were intreviewed. Each interview focused on how the curriculum attempts to guide teachers regarding gender, sex differences and equality of opportunity. The collected information was processed, analyzed and discussed using gender studies and discourse theory.The results show that the interpretation and usage of the curriculum is very subjective and varies greatly between all the interviewed teachers. Their personal interpretation proves to be crucial when it comes to making reality of the stated goals in the curriculum, concerning actively working towards equality of opportunity between sexes.

Den här uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka hur genus framställs i böckerna om Svarta Hingsten. Detta är baserat på Michael Kimmels teorier om maskulinitet och Judith Butlers teorier kring genus som performativ handling . Genom att använda mig av dessa teorier hoppas jag kunna urskilja hur genus förmedlas utifrån det urval av böckerna jag använder mig av. Uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka hur personal på socialterapeutiska LSS-elevhem förhållersig till rådande diskurser för genus och sexualitet. Materialet består av tre djupintervjuer medpersonal från socialterapeutiska LSS-elevhem. Informanterna har i intervjuerna utgått från trescenarier på temana sex, sexualitet och genus. Undersökningen har gjorts med endiskursanalytisk ingång och genom ett crip- och queerteoretiskt perspektiv. Resultatet avundersökningen visar på att det finns en utbredd heteronormativ syn i elevhemmen samt enokunskap om samkönat sex, identitetsuttryck och genuskonstruktioner..
