Sedan sin introduktion på 1940-talet har antibiotika varit några av de viktigaste läkemedlen vi har, både inom human- och veterinärmedicin. De används för att behandla och förebygga bakteriella infektioner. Världen över har det också använts i tillväxtstimulerande syfte i varierande grad, och på sina håll fortfarande även idag. Då administreras det i subterapeutiska koncentrationer under en lång tid vilket medför stora resistensproblem i det långa loppet. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att se hur fem länders antibiotikaresistensläge ser ut idag och vad som påverkar det. Detta uppnåddes genom jämförelser av ländernas antibiotikaanvändning och resistensläge på gris, exemplifierat genom tre olika bakterier ? MRSA, ESBL-producerande Escherichia coli och erythromycinresistenta Enterococcus spp.. De länder som studerades var Sverige, Danmark, Nederländerna, USA och Kina. Skillnader som finns mellan länder är exempelvis huruvida antibiotika får användas i tillväxtstimulerande syfte, om antibiotika måste vara receptbelagt och om det används i profylaktiskt syfte.

Det traditionella svenska skogsbruket bygger på ett trakthyggesbruk som tillämpas på största delen av arealen. Generell hänsyn lämnas vid skogliga åtgärder i form av levande och döda träd samt orörda områden. Utöver detta lämnas hela bestånd och nyckelbiotoper. Denna modell har fått kritik för att den skapar ett fragmenterat och variationsfattigt landskap med dåliga förutsättningar för många skogslevande arter att reproducera och sprida sig. Ett alternativ är triadskogsbruk där arealen delas upp i zoner med olika mål.

EC and WTO have been prosecuting collaboration for some time, which purpose is to liberalize the global market for commerce. There have been some alterations under the last decades. Establishing in other countries than their own is far easier, nevertheless it is getting more difficult. The enterprises demand equal treatment and the countries want to have the most favourable legislation. This has resulted in conflicts between different countries and even between the companies.

In this thesis, the introduction of smoke-free restaurants and bars in several EU Member States in a policy convergence perspective is studied. The thesis sets out to explain whether policy convergence has occurred and the possible explanations connected with it. It is stated that 15 out of 25 EU Member States had introduced or decided to introduce smoke-free restaurants and bars up to April, 2006. Out of all the countries in the world, 35, including the EU Member States, had introduced or decided to introduce smoke-free restaurants and bars. The result is analysed by using policy convergence theory and by putting the case in a global environment where tobacco control has become an ever more central theme for public health policy.The EU Member States are different in several ways considered to be important factors for policy convergence, such as cultural, institutional and socio-economic similarities, and the conclusion is made that EU membership has been a most crucial factor for the rapidity of the policy diffusion.

In 1995 something happened that radically changed the European football. This was the arrival of the Bosman ruling, a decision made by the European Court of Justice which meant that players with an expired contract could change clubs for free and that the European Union's internal market including the free movement of labour was now a part of the European football. The effects of theBosman ruling are wildly discussed today. Many powerful people in the European football mean that football now is less competitive than before, that there are a small amount of teams that actually have the ability to win any trophies. This bachelor thesis is studying the effects of the competitive forces in football after the Bosman ruling as a case of the free movement in the European Union.

Studiens syfte har varit att, utifrån ett hermeneutiskt angreppssätt, undersöka Helgelseförbundets kinamission 1940-1944 med avsikt att besvara frågeställningarna: Vad var syftemålet med kinamissionen, utifrån vilka villkor arbetade missionärerna, hur såg fältverksamheten och missionärsgruppens struktur/mentalitet ut? Samt: hur såg det ?Vardagliga livet? på en av stationerna ut ur ett enskilt perspektiv och varför såg det ut som det gjorde? Undersökningsresultaten ger slutsatserna att den kinesiska folkmängden var primärt syftemål, att uppdragsvillkoren utgick från medlems-och missionsfordringar, att fältverksamheten bedrevs på 13 huvudstationer av totalt 32 missionärer och att helhetsintrycket av verksamheten utgörs av trötthetskänslor och negativa värderingar och att detta även gäller det enskilda missionärsperspektivet som, förutom social gemenskap, förmedlar bilden av vardaglig svensk kultur. De slutsatser som dras är även: att de negativa värderingarna bl. a. är resultatet av dåligt anpassade medlemsfordringar i förhållande till landet och dess situation, att tröttheten bl.

The amateur musicians of today can produce highquality music on their laptops and later distribute it via free music sites. MySpace andYouTube are two of the biggest sites for this free distribution and is therefore my main choiseof study.The purpose of this essay was to find out how and if these changes have made a difference formusicians without a record deal to reach an audience by themselves.

The school can be seen as a place that reflects the wider community. Here is a school welfare officer an important representative of the school social work. The main subject of our study is to clarify how the school welfare officers? talk about documentation in the individual meeting with the pupil. Through individual interviews with five school welfare officers in elementary schools in three municipalities in the southern part ofSweden, we have attempted to explore these main research question.In addition to qualitative interviews we have accomplished a survey study that included 178 school welfare officers throughout the country.The result of our two studies demonstrates the school welfare officers? free work where the choice to document or not is wide.

China has a long tradition of using deception and psychological tactics. During the 2008 Beijing Olympics, China displayed extensive perception management, aiming at showing a better picture of China. The purpose of this study is to examine if China has continued to display a distorted image since the Olympics and if it could be classified as attempts on deception directed towards a western audience.By combining case studies with descriptive, comparative and a qualitative content analysis method, three cases are researched in order to establish how they are portrayed in the Chinese newspaper China Daily and the BBC News. The differences discovered are matched with the six different kinds of deception presented in Barton Whaley?s general deception theory.In all three cases, numerous examples can be found which indicates that China attempts to deceive their western audience through the media.

Det här är en kvantitativ studie av hur kreditpreferenser hos mikrobolag med en årsomsättning om mindre än 10 miljoner SEK beror av branschtillhörighet och företagsstorlek. Mikrobolag är små bolag med mindre än 10 personer anställda och en årsomsättning på mindre än 2 miljoner euro. Det teoretiska ramverket utgår från asymmetrisk informationsteori och mer specifikt från pecking order theory, POT samt trade off-teorin. Kreditpreferenserna mäts genom två olika parametrar, dels genom mikrobolagens avsättning till periodiseringsfonder vilket kan ses som ett mellanting mellan extern och intern finansiering, dels genom förekomsten av externa lån från kreditinstitut. Branscherna som undersöks är tillverkning samt tjänster vilka anses skilja sig åt vad gäller kreditpreferenser.

The purpose of this essay is to examine how young members of Free Churches relate to issues connected with lifestyle and identity, based on the changed conditions for the self in late modernity. More specifically, I want to examine how they deal with the increased degree of detraditionalisation and institutional individualization in late modernity.My research-question is:How do young members of Free Churches relate to issues connected with lifestyle and identity, with the increased degree of personal freedom and institutional individualization in late modernity as a starting point?The empiric part of the essay is carried out by qualitative in-depth interviews with five young members of Free Churches. These semi-structured interviews are focused on a number of different areas of the changed conditions for the self in late modernity.My theoretical perspective has been constructed from the theories of Anthony Giddens, Zygmunt Bauman, Ulrich Beck and Elisabeth Beck-Gernsheim. From these theories a focus on certain relevant areas of the condition of the self in late modernity, has developed.

Visby is a city that at first glance is of medieval origins. The popular image of scientists today is that the city was formed in the Middle Ages. According to some of the researchers Visby was formed during the Viking Age, it is based on the basis that the area has been used for a long period. Urban development in the Nordic countries is complex and there are different opinions as to why the Nordic cities emerge. It is important to shed light on the underlying process on why cities are emerging to provide clarity as to why Visby city is emerging.

This paper deals with the question of why companies choose to go on trade fairs and exhibition examines how the media works. The essay's main focus is on stand contractors and why those hired to produce other company stands. The study is based on three interviews, a visit to a trade fair and a questionnaire survey. Together with the relevant literature is given a clear picture of how companies are thinking in their choice of attending the fairs, but also why stand contractors are involved in the process. We concluded that some companies do not know why they participate in fairs and many feel compelled to contribute to not be forgotten in the market.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to do a brand survey of Metro in Karlstad. The study will originate from the terms ?brand identity? and ?brand associations?, where the brand identity is the organization?s desired view of the brand, and the brand associations define the associations held by the consumers.Issues: What is Metro?s brand identity? What are the brand associsations of Metro in Karlstad? How well do the brand identity and the brand associations correspond?Theoretical framework: The study is done from the perspective of media and communication studies, where the theoretical terms are defined from literature regarding brands.Method: The study is carried out using a qualitative document analysis, interviews, and a quantitative survey. The document analysis was made on Metro?s own documents regarding values and target audience.
