International regulations target a global reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions through the allocation of national reduction targets and the definition of mechanisms to achieve these targets. One of these mechanisms is international emissions trading, these trading programs have been the targets of widespread criticism since they were introduced into the policy-making arena. The point of departure in this study has been that the trading raises questions about morality, since it implies signals, which legitimates pollution. The main purpose with this study has been to find out if emissions trading systems can be morally justified with the method of wide reflective equilibrium. From the study it was found that the moral intuition; it is wrong to pollute the environment, and perform activities, which legitimates pollution, finds support from the different theories within environmental ethics and Kantian ethics.

This essay is about use, misuse and non-use of history in politics. To recognize genocide is a use of history that has been established in politics, but also sparked debate. The position of non-use of history in international policy towards Turkey's denial policy has increasingly been replaced by recognition of genocide as a matter of making up with the story, moral consider, and where fundamental issues of culture, identity, history and morality has become guiding element in the discourse behind European expansion and integration policies. A breakthrough for this change is due to the Cold War's end; since the 1980s it has become possible to realize the humanitarianism which has its roots in the Enlightenment humanism underlying the United Nations, and later the EU conventions on human rights and genocide conventions. A genocide concept has become an important discourse in world politics that puts moral pressure on states to act.

This paper examines pupils? conception of the Swedish schools constitutive values expressed in the Swedish curriculum. The main question was, at to what extent the schools constitutive values have influenced the pupils conception of their own values. That question problematizes the relation between values, constructed and carried by central administration, and their interpretation at local level by pupils. The study was conducted with qualitative analysis which included qualitative interviews with seven pupils in the last year of the Swedish school system.

The purpose of this master thesis is to describe and analyse Gerda Meyerson's educational project for young working-class women in Stockholm between 1898 and 1923. In 1898 Meyerson founded a home for young working-class women where her project could be implemented. It is the educational practises at this home and Meyerson's own words about working womens way of life thats in focus of this investigation. From a class and gender perspective the thesis examines the problems, the solutions and finally the goals of Meyerson's intentions for the young women. The problems were mainly the womens lack of self-esteem and bad moral reputation in society.

Centrala frågeställningar är: hur skapar jag en yrkesidentitet som pedagog? Vad ska min yrkesidentitet bestå av? Uppsatsen består av tre huvuddelar.

Since the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) that causes Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) was discovered in the 1980s, the condom has scientifically proven to be the only technological device that can prevent transmission of the virus during sexual intercourse. This technical approach to the HIV has strongly emphasized that prevention is only possible if the condom is properly used. However, as a technological artifact the condom has shown that its use is laden with values. The question of values on condoms has brought in a heated debate on the moral justifications of its use. In Malawi, just as in other African countries, the Faith Community has rejected the Governmentsplea to promote condoms as the preventive measure against the virus.The Faith Community has emphasized on abstinence and mutual faithfulness as the only reliable means to the prevention of HIV/AIDS.

Denna utveckling har aktualiserat frågor om vissa försäljningsförfarandens förenlighet med EG-rättens konkurrensregler.

Uppsatsen ?Dagens kvinnliga polis - androgyn? ? handlar om hur kvinnliga poliserupplever sin yrkesroll utifrån deras erfarenheter och syn på begreppen allmänheten, genus, egenskaper och självbild. Uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka hur utvalda kvinnligapoliser upplever sin yrkesroll, detta för att få en förståelse för deras subjektiva tolkningar avbegreppen genus, kvinna och polis. I uppsatsen används den kvalitativaforskningsmetoden och personliga intervjuer har genomförts med åtta kvinnliga poliser.Det framkommer i undersökningen att de kvinnliga poliserna inte tidigare tycks hareflekterat över särbehandling som ett problem utan det tycks komma med yrket att bli särbehandlad av allmänheten. Egenskaper som är knutna till traditionella könsrollerexisterar inte så starkt inom poliskåren, utan det androgyna beteendet belönas, både från kollegor och allmänheten.

The use of computer and video games has increased immensely over the past few decades and today a majority of the Swedish population enjoys them on a daily basis. With such a large number of frequent users, the media reporting on the subject of games becomes interesting and important. How are games represented in the media, and has there been any change in the way they are portrayed as their popularity has grown? ­The aim of this study is to determine if and how the portrayal of computer and video games in Swedish newspapers has changed during the period 1995?2012. The study was conducted with the use of quantitative content analysis and the empirical data was collected from the two most widespread newspapers in Sweden ? DN and Aftonbladet.

I takt med samhällets utveckling vad gällerjämställdhetstänkande, är det befogat anser jag att ställa sig frågan hur det kommer sig attäldreomsorgen utvecklas så långsamt på detta område. Därför är min fråga ?Hur skapas ochåterskapas könsobalansen på äldreboendet?? Syftet med arbetet är att ge en bild av hurkvinnor och äldreomsorgen tillsammans skapar och återskapar könsobalansen.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the way George W. Bush used the language as a means to exercise power in an attempt to justify Operation Iraqi Freedom. The theories used to answer the purpose are discourse analysis and three different moral metaphors that are applied on the data.The collected material for the metaphors is constituted of cognitive linguistic books from prominent linguists, such as George Lakoff, Alan Cruse and William Croft, and the material for the discourse analysis is also collected from prominent discourse analysts such as Michél Foucault and Norman Fairclough. The question at issue is to show how the people behind W.E.A. aimed to educate and indeed educated the workers to modern people and moreso to see how the articles in fact were written and to analyse in what way they turn to the workers and get their attention.

De senaste decennierna har det blivit allt tydligare att utbudet på bostadsmarknaden inte matchar efterfrågan. Främst den rådande bristen på bostäder, men också för de bostäder som alla slåss om i huvudsak är byggda utifrån hur Sverige såg ut för 40?50 år sedan. Dagens familjer och deras behov ser inte lika dana ut som när bostäderna byggdes. Bostadsmarknaden måste följa samhällets utveckling och vara villiga att satsa på nytänkande.
