The Swedish welfare organisation is built on the fact that the legislation gives the municipalities and social workers guidance and direction how to assess cases. Through out this the clients have right to be assessed both equally and individually. How is this done? The purpose of this paper was to examine the effect of the organisation referred to the social workers ability to discretion and the evaluation of the assessment in first time applications of social assistant cases. The purpose was also to look for variations in decisions and if these could be explained out of organisational and assessment effects.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine and analyze the characteristics of the management control system private equity firms use to manage their portfolio companies. The thesis takes a share holder value perspective, and it is assumed that the goal of the management control system is to increase the shareholder value in the portfolio company. In a qualitative study two private equity firms and two portfolio companies, one for each private equity firm, were studied in detail. In total, nine in debt interviews were completed. The results from this study suggest that the characteristics of the control system are dependent on the surrounding context; the focus on shareholder value and the specific characteristics of the private equity industry shape the characteristics of the management control system.

Generally prosody is described as the rhythmic, dynamic and melodic features of language. Prosody is further often described as suprasegmental, since its properties go beyond vowels and consonants, which are segmental characteristics of language. A relationship between prosody and music has been noticed and described for several decades. At present, there are several studies proving relationship between prosodic and musical abilities. The aim of the present study was to construct a test for prosodic non-linguistic perception and production regarding intonation and rhythm. The test was tried out on 16 children with typical language development aged 4;6-7;6 years. Before testing of ITAP each participant were asked about musical experience.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka vilka hinder och vilka möjligheter det finns ror invandrarbarnatt utveckla sitt modersmål och i andra hand utveckla det svenska språket. Den teoretiskaundersökningen besvarade frågan varför modersmål behövs. Den empiriska undersökningenavsåg att besvara syftet utifrån frågeställningar som handlar om organisation och syn påmodersmålsstöd.En kvalitativ metod i form av fyra intervjuer och en observation på en förskola användes. Deintervjuade var en kvinna som var pedagogisk handledare och tre män, varav två av dem varrektorer och en var kommunfullmäktigeiedamoten. De var i åldrarna 40 till 55 år gamla.I Halmstad pratar man 22 olika språk och det finns flera förskolor med mångfalden.

Gunnebo House and Gardens was designed during the late 18th century by architect Carl Wilhelm Carlberg as a summer residence for the wealthy merchant John Hall Sr. and his family. The garden consists of formal garden, kitchen garden and English park. For the first two parts several original drawings have been preserved and here a lot of restoration work has been carried out. This paper aims to examine how the English park might have been implemented during John Hall Sr.?s time and to create a plant scheme for the area called ?Engelska kullen? (The English hill).

The study aims to describe, compare, and analyze how managers and basic staff in disability care reflects on education and competence in the organization and from an organizational context explain how the professionalization efforts can be understood at different levels of disability care. Highlighting these questions can stimulate discussion within this field when it comes to the evaluation of competence and skills of staff working with people with various disabilities, which is also sought after in society even more today. The study is qualitative and the result is based on five semi-structured interviews with managers and basic staff in disability care. The interview questions were categorized according to the concepts that are central in this essay: competence, training, professionalism and organization.The results show that there is some doubt about what a higher competence of personnel in direct contact with the users would mean. Among the basic staff uncertainty seems to be highest.

Organisationsförändringar är något som sker dagligen inom organisationer. Vid större organisationsförändringar uppstår det ofta personalrelaterade problem som organisationsledningen måste ta hänsyn till. En av de största förändringarna en organisation kan genomgå är en så kallad fusion, när en organisation går ihop med en annan. Under de senaste åren har det blivit allt vanligare med fusioner mellan lärosäten.Författarnas syfte med denna uppsats är att undersöka vilka personalrelaterade problem som kan uppstå när två lärosäten med olika förutsättningar går samman genom en fusion. Detta har gjorts med hjälp av av en fallstudie.Resultatet av undersökningen visar att kontinuerlig information från ledning till personal är av yttersta vikt för att i största möjliga mån undvika och dämpa personalrelaterade problem.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka om det förelåg några skillnader i upplevelsen av arbetsmotivation och arbetstillfredsställelse bland lärare avseende organisationsform och kön samt om det fanns en interaktion mellan organisationsform och kön avseende arbetsmotivation och arbetstillfredsställelse. Totalt deltog 84 respondenter i undersökningen. Mätinstrumenten som användes var Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire och Basic Need Satisfaction at work scale. Resultatet visade att det inte förelåg några signifikanta skillnader i arbetsmotivation beroende på organisationsform och kön. Vidare visade resultatet att det fanns signifikanta skillnader i yttre, inre och generell arbetstillfredsställelse beroende på organisationsform, där privatanställda var mer tillfredsställda i jämförelse med offentligt anställda.

TPB, The Swedish Library of Talking Books and Braille, has requested a study to investigate the organization and content of a possible future Swedish web portal for users with reading disabilities. The aim of this thesis is to conduct such a study, with an emphasis on knowledge organization. The main aspects studied are formal description, representation, search and retrieval, document retrieval, and additionally also aspects related to content. The following questions are answered in this thesis: - How are web portals, online databases and Internet libraries for users with reading disabilities constructed, from an organization of knowledge point of view? - How can these solutions for knowledge organization be incorporated into a possible Swedish web portal? - With regards to content, which additional aspects are present in the studied web portals, online databases and Internet libraries? The questions are addressed through a detailed study of ten web portals, online databases and Internet libraries from Nordic and Anglo-American parts of the world.

Om en organisation i dagens samhälle ska leva och utvecklas bör den vara flexibel och öppen för att arbeta på andra sätt än vad den många gånger är van vid. Att förändra ett arbetssätt är oftast lättare sagt än gjort, vilket organisationen bör vara beredd på. En förändring av arbetssätt kan komma att påverka hela kulturen inom organisationen. Något som blir mer aktuellt vid genomförandet av interna förändringsprojekt. När det finns en risk att ett projekt påverkar den egna organisationen kan man uppleva det som mycket viktigt att undersöka de risker och förändringar som skulle kunna påverka själva projektet.

Syftet med denna studie är att vidga förståelse för hur yrkesverksamma vid en Reggio Emilia-inspirerad förskola använder sig av ett reflekterande arbetssätt. Reflektion framhålls som en möjlighet till ett riktat och strukturerat fokus för tänkande gentemot lärande. Den pedagogiska dokumentationen benämns som ett gemensamt reflektionsunderlag för att synliggöra, problematisera och granska den pedagogiska verksamheten i riktning mot barns utveckling och lärande. Denna etnografiska studie genomfördes vid en Reggio Emilia-inspirerad förskola i Sverige. Deltagande observationer, informella intervjuer och formell intervju ingår i det kvalitativa arbetet.

Close to the city center of Reykjavik lies the combined national- and university library of Iceland. Usually, these two types of institutions are separated. The purpose of this essay is to investigate how the library in fact selects the new digital material to offer the users in Iceland, and if the combined mission creates any problems or conflicts.The investigation examines the planning and the content of the digital library, what user groups are addressed and how the organisation is held together despite the different missions. If cultural context in Iceland makes a difference for what is selected and offered to the users is also discussed.Six informants in strategic library positions dealing with the digital national- or university library, were interviewed. The answers have been analysed in light of the library&information literature on building and maintaining digital library collections and organizational and marketing theory.The main result of the study is that the informants do not see a conflict between the missions of the organisation, although traces of a struggle were found in some areas.

The purpose of this study is to describe some primary school teachers understanding of language development and approach of first and second language speakers with Arne Tragetons Writing to reading, for pupils in early ages.By using a qualitative method with interviews and participant observations and informal conversations, the basis for the survey was collected. Four teachers in three schools participated. The proportion of second-language pupils at each school was 35%, 17% and 0%. My theoretical starting point in the study was the hermeneutic research tradition, which has been used to interpret and understand the collected material. Theories of behaviorism, constructivism and socio-cultural perspective has been used in the analysis part of this study.

Syftet var att beskriva distriktssköterskans erfarenheter och inställningar till FYSS samt förskrivning av FaR vid hälsocentraler med hög respektive låg förskrivning. Sjutton distriktssköterskor deltog från två topplistplacerade hälsocentraler och en icke topplistplacerade hälsocentral i ett län, i Mellansverige. Datainsamlingen gjordes genom semistrukturerade intervjuer och analyserades utifrån kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Analysen gav två kategorierOrganisation och Individ för de topplistade hälsocentralerna respektive den icke topplistade hälsocentralen samt sex underkategorier vardera. Kategorin Organisation inom de topplistade hälsocentralerna innehöll underkategorierna ledningsstöd, utbildning samt uppföljning och ekonomi.
