The aim of this study was to examine the use of critical reflection in two social fields of work, using social workers that have at least five years professional experience. We have chosen to examine two fields of work in the same organization to be able to see possible similarities and dissimilarities that occur in the same organization.In our studies at B ?level we examined the use of critical reflection, using social workers that just gotten their degree and that were out working on their first job. In our study we discovered that because of the culture in the organization it?s easier to accommodate the already existing ways of working, than to ?go your own way?.

This master thesis has been a product realization process. Having BRIO:s walking cart as thestaring point the purpose was to further develop the principle of such products and at the sametime broaden their sector of use. The final result is to be regarded as a complete solutionmeant as a foundation for further development at the BRIO Company. The product aims tosatisfy the demands and needs of the target group called theon the go parent. Trends, qualityand purchase power are features that characterize this particular target group.The project resulted in a walking stool namedBRIO Circus after its source of inspiration.

Currently there is no Swedish boardsport magazine for women. In this degree project a prototype of a new lifestyle magazine for women in boardsports has been created. Through a magazine study and a targetgroup survey we have found a magazine concept and suggestions for the magazine content. A digital 96-page prototype has been created. The feedback from Anders Neuman-Östberg, the experienced editor in chief of the Swedish boardsport magazine Transistion gives the project report the needed credibility.The overall response from all the people involved in the making of this prototype has been positive.

Med grund i retorikens återkomst i ämnesplanen för svenskämnet på gymnasiet är uppsatsens syfte att genomlysa retorikens plats i undervisningen, att undersöka lärares förhållningssätt till och genomförande av undervisning i muntliga framställningar. Syftet har konkretiseras genom de två frågeställningarna: Vilket förhållningssätt uppvisar svensklärare på gymnasiet till muntliga framställningar, med avseende på betydelse för elevers betyg och kompetens samt dess relevans i förhållande till andra moment i kursen? Hur ser svensklärare på organisationen av muntliga framställningar i svenskämnet? För att leva upp till syftet och besvara frågeställningarna har tre halvstrukturerade djupintervjuer genomförts, och dessutom har två informanter lämnat in listor på de begrepp som används i undervisningen kring muntliga framställningar. Både tidigare forskning och uppsatsens undersökning visar på skilda förhållningssätt gällande muntliga framställningar i svenskämnet och dessutom framkommer varierande organisation av undervisningen. Inget enhetligt resultat uppnås, istället påvisar uppsatsen en bristande konsensus i frågan..

This report summarizes a Bachelor Degree Project in Integrated Product Development, carried out during the fall 2007 till spring 2008 by three students at the Product Design Engineering Program at the University of Skövde. The project was performed in cooperation with Lundbergs Möbler AB in Tibro. Lundbergs wants to start selling furniture to the public eldercare. The purpose of this project was to adjust one of their chairs. The project layout was to first make a preliminary investigation where the market, competitors? assortment and the purchasing process are studied.

Resulting from anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions, average surface seawater pH is estimated to decline from today's approximately 8.05 to between 7.78 and 8.03 towards 2100. For ionisable organic pollutants, changes in pH can lead to a change in the degree of ionisation, which could influence the ecotoxicity of a compound by altering its bioavailability. In this study, potential changes in ecotoxicity of ionisable organic compounds resulting from ocean acidification are examined. This is achieved partly by conducting a literature review, analysing existing literature that investigates this relationship. Potential changes are also evaluated by examining marine ecotoxicity data for ionisable organic compounds on the watch list pursuant to Directive 2008/105/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, as well as on the list of priority substances according to the 2022 proposal for amending the Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC).

A mutual feature between good leaders is a good self awareness in order to be able to lead others. By letting others evaluate the features of a leader it can give a good self image of the leaders? leadership.

Since the 1950s new laws on higher education have led to a ?mass education phenomenon? in Sweden. This has led to a surplus of people with a university degree measured against available positions on the labor market. As a result of that development it must be assumed that in this over qualified society it is not anymore the degree but additional factors which are decisive for getting a job. In this respect the importance of the class background for getting a jobb that is equal to once level of education shall beexamined.The research was carried out by means of a Quantitative Analysis based on data from anational database called Undersökningar av Levnadsförhållanden (Survey of LivingConditions).

Vi har i vårt examensarbete undersökt olika arbetssätt och kompensatoriska läromedel som kan underlätta lärandet för elever i läs-och skrivsvårighter / dyslexi i gymnasiet. Genom en intervju med ämneslärare i gymnasiet och specialpedagoger i grundskolan, undersökte vi också om de arbetar ur ett relationellt eller kategoriskt perspektiv, för att underlätta lärandet för dessa elever. Vår slutsats är ämneslärare i skolorna i undersökningen arbetar ur ett relationellt perspektiv, medan specialpedagogera arbetar ur ett kombinerat, både relationellt och kategoriskt perspektiv..

Vårt utvecklingsarbete handlade om att medvetandegöra eleverna, i en samhällsvetenskaplig klass i årskurs två i gymnasiet, om att individerna har olika inlärningsstilar, enligt forskarna Rita & Ken Dunn. Syftet var att undersöka om medvetenheten om dominerande inlärningsstil för varje elev och om deras arbete enligt medföljande studietips resulterade i ökat intresse, uppmärksamhet och koncentration vid inlärning av nytt och svårt material. Metoden som användes var en enkät för varje elev som visade respektive elevs dominerande inlärningsstil. Eleverna följde sedan under åtta veckor en handlingsplan med studietips för varje elev, och därefter intervjuades eleverna för att se om de följt studietipsen. Ur vårt material kan man inte dra säkra slutsatser.

The aim of this study was to identify possible reasons for non-attendance related to mammographic screening. Using qualitative methods, sex women underwent a semi-structured interview on the following themes: social background, medical history, mammographic screening, invitation, and final decision.Social background was described using the "life-form theory". The concepts of illness, disease, and sickness were used in order to investigate medical conditions and their impact. The process of non-attendance was studied using a model by Zovko, balancing different needs affecting decisions and final action.According to their decision, and final action, women were defined as "participants", "passive non-attenders" or "active non-attenders". Most women belonged to the life-form "paid work" and had children.

This degree project has been performed with Mega Teknik AB in Landskrona. The project has resulted in a workplace for the cable installers of Mega Teknik. The workplace contains a workbench and a cart.The first stage in this project was to make an analysis of the current workplace to identify the needs the installers had.The different principle construction proposals of how the workbench would look like and which functions it would have was made during brainstorming, in groups and alone. These proposals were compared against each other using a functional analysis that has been put up to get the principle construction that fulfilled most points in this analysis.The proposal chose for further work was a cart and a bench with a module intends, the table got a formulation that creates a better reach for the installers.This proposal was generated in Catia V5 to get a better overview of the suggested proposal.During the primary structure phase drawings over all the products were made and the components were chosen. Calculations were made and the product got the dimension required.

Success in treatment with platinum-based chemotherapy against different types of cancer tumors is limited by side-effects such as hearing loss which can have a large impact on the individual`s quality of life. It is of great importance to continue with studies that address this complex of problems.Objective: The aim of this literature review is to investigate the impact of platinum-based chemotherapy on hearing in children and adolescents treated for different types of cancer.Method: A descriptive review of literature was made based on sources from 15 different studies on the impact of platinum-based chemotherapy on hearing in the target group.Results: The survey of the studies shows that platinum-based chemotherapy causes incidence of hearing loss by differing degree in the target group. Dosage of a platinum-based substance appeared to be the most significant factor. Treatment with both cisplatin and carboplatin was more ototoxic than treatment with only one of these. Greater risk for hearing loss was to a higher degree observed in younger children.

This paper analyzes the auditor choices for a sample of 300 predominantly small Swedish firms, all located in Umeå. Our hypothesis was based on the complexity of a firm, the need of external financing, leverage, and the need of extra consultance from the auditfirm. Our definition of auditor quality is based on prior studies, and is frequently used by authors in this area. The assumption is based on that the auditor quality increases with the size of the auditfirm and the degree of the auditor. The auditor quality is therefor depending on the choice between an auditor from the group ?Big 5? or not, and the choice of an auditor with an higher degree.

Detta arbete består av en tvådelad studie. Vi har dels tagit reda på huruvida lärare använder sig av Harry Potter-böckerna i engelskundervisningen på gymnasiet, dels gestaltat lärarinformanternas uppfattningar angående användandet av Harry Potter-böckerna i undervisningen. Vi har också undersökt om det är möjligt att använda sig av Harry Potter-böcker i engelskundervisningen och om det är möjligt att koppla dem till Lpf 94 (2008) och kursplaner för Engelska A, B och C (2000) på gymnasiet.     Undersökningens intervjuer genomfördes på två gymnasieskolor i mellersta Sverige och inkluderade tio informanter. I syfte att svara på undersökningens forskningsfrågor genomfördes dessutom en didaktisk läsning av tre Harry Potter-böcker.Den didaktiska läsningen visade att de tre Harry Potter-böckerna kan kopplas till både Lpf 94 (2008:59?76) och kursplanerna för kurserna Engelska A, B och C på gymnasiet.
