In this essay, I make a queer feminist analysis of four novels written by the Swedish author Sigge Stark. The novels are: Uggleboet, Manhatareklubben, Cirkus Demonio och Baskerflickan. Using Judith Butler's theories I examine the relations between sex/gender and sexuality in the four books and show how the construction of gender is performed and the heterosexual normativity is jeopardized. I also examine whether, and if so how, Sigge Stark uses the romantic and the gothic genres to include transcending gender identities and sexualities in her work. The essay also includes a contextualisation of her prerequisities as an author and the necessity in performing a critical analysis of mass produced romantic literature..

Syftet med studien är att se om det finns samband mellan hur lärare uppfattar att deltagare på sfi tillägnar sig svenska språket bäst och hur deltagarna upplever att de lär sig bäst. Förhoppningen med undersökningen är att resultatet ska leda till eventuella förbättringar av sfi-verksamheten. Resultatet visar att lärarna uppfattar att deltagarna endast har lite kontakt med svenskan utanför skolan och deltagarna bekräftar detta. Lärarnas uppfattningar om att innehållet i undervisningen är adekvat överensstämmer med deltagarnas önskemål och behov, men deltagarna efterlyser fler möjligheter till diskussion i klassrummet. Beträffande frågan om det finns faktorer som påverkar inlärningen menar lärarna att vissa faktorer påverkar mer än vad deltagarna själva upplever men saknaden av familj och vänner kan påverka inlärningen..

The purpose of this essay is to highlight the conceptions that exist in school towards homosexuality. My overall essay questions are: What rules does the school have to apply concerning homosexuality? What approach do the professors have towards young lesbian women and kind of support is offered to the group? In order to answer these questions I interviewed a professor and a young lesbian female. One of the surveys that has been made, as a normative order, about heterosexuality in the last decade is known as queer theory.One of the theories that in surveys investigates homosexuality as a normative order is known as ?queer theory? and it is the one I decided to use in this essay.Inspired by feminist research, gay and lesbian studies and the poststructuralist theory, the queertheory focuses on some peoples way of organizing sexuality is privileged, sanctioned and is perceived as normal, while others are seen as deviant, abnormal and therefore unwelcome.

Retoriken har ända sedan det antika Grekland och Aristoteles tid varit mansdominerad. Den gode talaren, vir bonus, var en man och de kvinnliga talarna (och skribenterna) har både historiskt och i nutid antingen åsidosatts, förlöjligats eller förminskats. Den kunskap som förmedlas i högre utbildningar inom retorik och som produceras i forskning är till stor del färgad av en manlig norm - trots den feministiska inbrytningen.Kvinnor har fått skapa sina egna retoriska strategier och införandet av ett kvinnligt perspektiv har fått retoriken att förnyas både teoretiskt och praktiskt. Framför allt har det bidragit till att andra aspekter kommit i förgrunden. Detta ligger till grund för min uppsats där jag valt att undersöka hur bestående och statisk den feministiska retoriken är.

The purpose of the essay is to investigate how the position of women and girls in society can lead to a valid infringement of the right to privacy (art. 8 ECHR) by allowing the storage of personal data belonging to people who have not been convicted of a crime. The essay uses the traditional legal method to determine the applicable law, but is also grounded in a feminist approach in order to enable an interaction between jurisprudence and societal phenomena. The essay revolves around Directive 2016/680 and relevant case law in order to analyze the set requirements to enable an infringement of the right to privacy. In order to be able to analyze whether the requirements can be met based on the need to prevent men?s violence against women and girls, the essay will also describe the life situations of women and girls in society. Syftet med studien var att få reda på hur lärare upplever religionskunskap. Fyra underfrågor har använts: om lektionsinnehållet, om religionsböckerna, om elevernas syn på religionskunskap och om lärarnas egna förutsättningar. Sex intervjuer av lärare i årskurs 4-6 låg till grund för studien. Resultatet blev att ämnet upplevs som andra ämnen, världsreligionerna upplevs som viktigast att ta upp och framförallt kristendomen, men även islam. Böckerna upplevs som dåliga och nödvändiga att komplettera.

The aim of this study is to describe how reviews of literature in Bonniers litterära magasin and Expressen changed during the period 1964-2004. The investigation is based on 20 reviews of novels and short stories, which are analysed with a method described in Hellspong and Ledin (1997) and inspired by Halliday. The theoretical frame of the investigation is founded on critical discourse analysis (Fairclough 1992 & 2001) and Habermas´social theory of the public sphere.The investigation shows, among other things, that the reviews became shorter and easier to read in both paper during the period. The investigation also shows that the genre´s style, composition and contents are relatively stable, and that current ideologies in society have a tendency to be reflected in the reviewers´evaluation of the books. To generalize, the reviews thus developed from a poetic genre in 1964, to become political in the 1970s, academic in the 1980s, feminist in the 1990s and finally an intermedial genre in 2004..

Following the wake of the AIDS-catastrophe in the beginning of the eighties, homosexual men or 'men who have sex with men' (MSM) have been barred from donating blood throughout the planet. In this thesis I look into the different discourses at play in the context of creating the legal framework for blood donation in Sweden. Genealogically tracing the emergence of the category of MSM and mapping how the category is brought to use in contemporary negotiations on blood safety, I scrutinize how scientific truth is established within blood transfusion practice. I argue that the rationality of risk group exclusion is contingent on economical grounds, and that the foucauldian concept of biopolitics could productively be used to understand this rationality. In particular, the concept of the 'biopolitics of blood' can be employed in order to understand the reluctance from the involved actors to acknowledge the heteronormative consequences of the legal framework of contemporary blood donation..

I december 2003 gick filmen Kill Bill upp på biograferna med ett våldsamt och blodigt innehåll. Reaktionerna blev starka, vilket kan bero på att Kill Bill är en actionfilm där kvinnorna har en annan roll än den lättklädda medhjälparen. Då kvinnorna står i fokus var filmen som gjord för en analysav hur just kvinnan gestaltas i filmens värld. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om de patriarkala strukturerna förändras när typiskt manliga roller intas av kvinnor. Analysen inriktar sig främst på filmen Kill Bill, men diskuterar också det sammanhang i vilket filmen skapats och lanserats det vill säga filmindustrin i Hollywood som knappast gjort sig känd för några jämställdhetssträvanden.

Followers of three world religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam are waiting for the Messiah. Muslims are even waiting for aspiritual leader al-Mahdi. Two different persons claimed the title of al-Mahdi, at the end of the nineteenth century. Theyappeared almost at the same time, at the totally different places of the earth, with a completely different message and underthe rule of the British colonial power. The aim of the study is to compare the both religious figures, Mirza Ghulam Ahmadfrom India and Muhammad Ahmad from Sudan regarding their different messages, to illustrate the social, political andreligious factors that lead to the entirely different profile and image of these two men and how their organizations havedeveloped after their death up till today.

Sammanfattning Hur framställs muslimska kvinnor i läroböcker framtagna att följa GY11? Det har varit denna uppsats huvudfrågeställning. Med utgångspunkt i ett teoriavsnitt som presenterar aktuellt forskningsläge kring muslimsk feminism framställdes en kodningsmanual som har använts som redskap för att analysera fem stycken läroböcker. Det som framförallt framkommer i den teoretiska utgångspunkten är kontextens betydelse och vikten av omtolkningar för att förstå islam på ett, för de muslimska feministerna, rätt sätt. Bilder, ord, meningar och uttryck för idéer har plockats ut och redovisats. Resultatet visar en spridd bild av förankring i forskning kring berörda ämne.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur religionskunskapslärare i grundskolans senare år förhåller sig till främlingsfientlighet, samt hur religionskunskapslärare förhåller sig till ämnet religionskunskap som ett verktyg för att förebygga och motverka främlingsfientlighet och rasism. Dessutom syftade studien till att undersöka vilken roll en religionskunskapslärare har och hur de arbetar i klassrummet för att motverka och förebygga främlingsfientlighet och rasism. Undersökningsmetoden var kvalitativ och fullgjordes genom sex semistrukturerade intervjuer, det vill säga att samma frågor ställdes till alla respondenter, där frågorna gav öppna svarsmöjligheter. Materialet samlades in genom kvalitativa intervjuer och detta gav oss en större förståelse dels för intervjupersonerna och dels för resultaten. Våra intervjufrågor skrevs utifrån våra problemformuleringar och syftet med studien.

This study attempts a literature based reconstruction of the impact of globalisation and modernisation on the gender identities in Vietnam. Recognising the explanatory albeit normative capacity of critical theory ? specifically the feminist and globalisation critical approach ? this thesis argues that in spite of the economic benefits of modernisation, it enhances existing unequal structures. By focusing on women in the labour sector, simultaneously Vietnam's comparative advantage and one of its economically marginalised groups, a contradictory movement can be discovered. Notwithstanding the economic development, a regression in terms of women's possibilities to self-empowerment seems to cancel the benefits for the individual.

The purpose of this study is to examine how different religious traditions are portrayed in teaching materials based on news reports. The main question concerns the way in which religious practices and holidays are described and in which contexts religion is presented. The method includes a both quantitative and qualitative content analysis. The study concludes that certain religious practices are presented in a way that describes the practitioners as more faithful and homogenous than others. This was especially prominent among Muslims and to a certain extent Hindus.
