The purpose of the thesis is to compare Sweden's and Great Britain's total costs for their systems regulating producer responsibility for waste packages. Producer resonsibility is a strategy implying that producers are responsible for their waste also after its use. Sweden and Great Britain introduced different systems systems after an EU directive was adopted in 1994 (94/62/EC), and they have resulted in entirely different recycling levels in the two countries. In the Swedish system, responsibility has been delegated to the industry who are responsible for reaching the determined goals. The economic instrument used is a fee, set and managed by the industry. The British system is more centrilised, and the economic instrument used to finance recycling of waste is a system based on transferable permits. The thesis compares the four different alternatives: delegated and centralised methods, and fees and transferable permits analytically.

AbstractThe purpose of this essay is to investigate the views Swedish elementary school teachers produce on the subject of ethics. The teachers? thoughts on selection among ethical notions is described and also how these notions are assessed. The essay proceeds from the central content and the knowledge requirement in the syllabus of religious knowledge.The empirical survey is based on qualitative scientific interviews with four teachers employed in grades 4-6 at different schools.The teachers find ethics in its current state of the syllabus hard to define and they find encounters with parents and pupils difficult in their tasks. The selection of ethics is decided by previously planned basic values education or from conflicts erupting during schools hours.

The Swedish industrial society has left several areas with contaminated soil and water which today is of danger for the environment and human health. One of these areas with contaminated soil and water is the region where the former Glava glassworks operated during 1859 to 1939. The main object in this study has been to study the responsibility for the contaminations according to the Environmental Code. The method used is a qualitative content analysis of relevant literature to answer the following questions:What types of contaminations can be found in the area of Glava glasswork and what health issues can these cause?What kind of activity has been conducted in the area that have caused the contaminations in soil and water?According to law, what are the responsibilities for the contaminations in soil and water at Glava glassworks?The contamination in the region has been confirmed to originate from the glasswork due to the environmental engineering survey made in the area in 2009.

The aim of this study was to illuminate how patients with rheumatoid arthritis experienced the relationship to the caregivers in the ?rheumatic-team?, and the participation in this team.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a concept that is growing increasingly important, with more and more companies acknowledging that they have an obligation to the environment in which they operate. We were interested in inquiring into why companies chose to do so, even though there are no laws that condition them to engage in CSR. One answer to this might be that companies use CSR as a way to distinguish themselves from the competition as well as to gain trust and goodwill from the stakeholders. When it comes to Corporate Social Responsibility, the question is no longer whether or not companies should engage in it, but how they can gain competitive advantage by doing so. This study aims at providing a framework for possible ways of integrating CSR and branding, as well as different strategies for CSR-communication. We also tried to define how, and why, consumers respond to CSR-initiatives.

Genom att studera vad arbetssökande prioriterar vid val av arbetsgivare vill vi undersöka om CSR kan ses som en konkurrensfördel på arbetsmarknaden. Vi har arbetat med kvantitativ undersökningsmetod. Webbenkäter har skickats ut till studenter på Blekinge Tekniska Högskola som examineras inom ett år. Enkäterna har utformats efter de teorier som är relevanta för vår studie. Enkäternas påståenden är CSR relaterade. Undersökningen och sammanställningen av enkäten gjordes i e- val. Vår undersökning visar att CSR kan ses som en konkurrensfördel på arbetsmarknaden.

Syftet är att ge en förståelse för hur CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) kan användas i varumärkesbyggande.För att nå syftet har uppsatsen baserats på kvalitativa studier. Sju intervjuer har genomförts, tre där vi träffat informanten och fyra där vi talat med informanterna per telefon. Intervjuerna har varit av strukturerad form då vi har haft som mål at jämföra det insamlade materialet.Vi har kontinuerligt pendlat mellan teoretiska källor och empiri och har på så sätt haft ett abduktivt förhållningssätt.Studien har visat att företag idag allt mer berör sociala och miljörelaterade frågor i sin verksamhet. Rådande klimathot och miljöfrågor, tillsammans med konsumenters ökade krav på ansvar, upplevs som pådrivare i frågan om företagsansvar. Studien har också visat att motiven och drivkrafterna bakom ansvartagandet skiljer sig åt mellan olika företag.
