This report describes the design and implementation of a multi-master, packet based protocol for small and tiny microcontrollers where resources are limited. The protocol was named "Tiny Controller Network" or TCN for short. The protocol is meant mainly as a control bus for automation and sensor acquisition applications but due to its flexibility can also be used for other purposes as well. It borrows some of its functionality and design ideas from the well known CAN bus and Modbus but also has a number of major differences like the use of standard hardware and time synchronisation. One of the key aspects during the design was the use of very little system resources and common on-chip hardware peripherals like a UART.

One important change is tariff reduction through the Common Effective Preferential Tariff (CEPT-scheme), which increased Myanmar?s export to countries outside the ASEAN. Ombord på moderna fartyg finns möjligheten att navigera med enbart ECDIS. ECDIS är beroende av många olika delsystem för att kunna fungera optimalt.Failure Mode and Effect Anylysis (FMEA) är ett verktyg med vilket man kan undersöka ett specifikt system för att upptäcka eventuella konstruktionsfel och brister i produktionsdesignen. Detta examensarbete har med hjälp av en FMEA undersökt ECDIS simulatorerna vid Sjöfartshögskolan i Kalmar för att ta reda på hur ECDIS påverkas när ett eller flera av delsystemen kopplade till ECDIS fallerar. Syftet med denna undersökning har varit att upptäcka konstruktionsfel, brister och begränsningar i ECDIS systemet vid simulatorerna i Sjöfartshögskolan i Kalmar. Det kunde påvisas att ECDIS i vissa fall ej har avgett de larm som enligt tillverkaren skall varsko navigatören att ett delsystem har fallerat.

The aim of this study is to gain an increased knowledge and deeper understanding of compulsive gambling and its consequences in today?s society. Gambling addiction will be described and analysed by a selection of experts, therapists and people with an addictive gambling background. The basis of the empirical research has been undertaken by a qualitative design with interviews consisting of three fundamental themes. The research group of eight participants included four gamblers, two therapists and two specialists.

The aim of this research is to develop a better understanding of how preschool-teachers respond to children in preschool, when they show that they want to have some influence. I have concentrated this study on how the preschool-teachers respond to the children in the gatherings and when the children are playing freely indoors, where the questions at issue are:How do the preschool-teachers respond to the children?s initiative for participation in the gathering and while playing freely?There have been four preschool-teachers and 14 children who have taken part in this study. The children who took part are in the ages of three to five. The study was done at a section in a preschool in middle Sweden.The method used in this study is unstructured observations.

Internet's entry into our home has changed our communication capabilities. As a result more and more services in the digital world are available. Besides e.g. shopping, gaming and general information, different social networks now offer preventive and therapeutic health-oriented services. When being asked by several young people, with whom I have been working in a clinical setting, to offer conversations over the Internet that enables both to see and to hear each other in real time, I decided to conduct a pilot study which is presented in this paper. The aim was to investigate the feasibility of offering supportive therapy using video calls over the Internet.

Detta innebär att enstörre mängd gods anländer samtidigt när ett fartyg förtöjer vid en hamn. Föratt hantera denna ökade mängd gods måste godsnav och hamnar ständigt utvecklaoch effektivisera verksamheten. Detta innebär att långsiktiga prognoser ochplaner måste utvecklas för hur större fartyg skall kunna hanteras.

Hidden away in the pristine landscape on the northeast shore of the Dominican Republic, the remote village of Miches is on the verge of shifting its economic resource base from traditional fishing into what could become an international model for sustainable tourism. The aim of this thesis was to produce a vision of a waterfront park near the center of the village; demonstrating concept-based landscape design that reflects the goals of sustainable development originating from the local incentive structure. A composite landscape analysis and design concept both served to inform and guide the design work, which was executed through model building, hand drawings, and production of a visual presentation in the format of an architectural competition entry. The design concept, All invited, signifies the distinction between the development that is about to take place in Miches and the otherwise common all-inclusive resorts, where tourists are set apart from the local community and spend most of their time within the fenced-off premises of the hotel. All invited also captures the typical Dominican hospitality, and mirrors the aspirations of turning Miches into a safe and welcoming place for visitors. The result is a public park design that is equally inviting local residents as it is to tourists, and where the unique qualities of the site are emphasized without being exploited.

Denna uppsats är en utvecklingsstudie av TV-serien Sex and the city. Syftet är att med hjälp av narrativ analys samt Keith Selbys och Ron Cowderys metoder från boken How to study television studera det första och det sista avsnittet av serien för att därefter undersöka förändringar i avsnittens miljö samt karaktärernas dialog och kläder. Detta med hjälp av teorier om livsstil, subkulturer och mode inom populärkultur. Förändringen från första till sista avsnittet handlar mycket om karaktärernas sätt att se på sin egen livsstil. Huvudfokus i dialog och handling har flyttats från sex till kärlek och de fyra huvudkaraktärerna har alla utvecklats till mognare versioner av sig själva, någots om känns naturligt eftersom serien startade 1998 och avslutades 2004.

Problembakgrund: Sociala medier har blivit så viktigt att marknadsförare inte kan bortse ifråndem (Patino, Pitta och Quinones, 2012). Det är viktigt att företag har en klar strategi för hurmarknadsföringen på sociala medier ska se ut (Setreus, 2011). För att få djupare förståelse kringdet här bör användandet av sociala medier undersökas.Syfte: Uppsatsen syfte är att undersöka och beskriva konsumenters beteende på sociala medier,och upplevelser kring företags marknadsföring på sociala medier.Metod: Undersökningen har en kvalitativ ansats. Urvalet i studien är ett spontant uppsökandeurval av tolv individer, som har deltagit i totalt tre stycken gruppintervjuer med fyra personer ivardera.Slutsatser: Respondenterna i undersökningen använde i huvudsak sociala medier för att hållakontakten med vänner. De läste varandras profilsidor, och var noga med hur deras egnaprofilsidor såg ut.

The purpose of this study is to describe how the employee appraisal is perceived by managers, employees and representatives from human resources departments. The empirical material con-sists of 15 interviews: respondents were two representatives of the human resources departments, four unit managers and nine employees who work at a state institution or municipal management. In the study, I adopt a sociocultural perspective, with the communicative relational perspective. The latter is a special education perspective in which the interpenetration of participation, com-munication and learning emphasized.The result shows that the majority of employees would like to see that the talks will be held more frequently than once a year. One of the managers has in cooperation with his co-workers devel-oped a model based on that each year, in addition to salary talks, have an individual conversation, a conversation with each group and individual follow-up talks.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera hur mode- och klädföretag arbetar strategiskt i en snabbföränderlig och oförutsägbar omvärld. Huvudfrågeställningen rör vilken eller vilka kombinationer av strategier som företag tillämpar på en föränderlig marknad samt hur företag kan hitta balans mellan långsiktighet, stabilitet och flexibilitet. Uppsatsen utgår ifrån en utvecklande studie med ett abduktivt angreppssätt och är baserad på fyra fallföretag: JC, Bestseller, Day Birger et Mikkelsen och Filippa K. Slutsatser: De modeföretag vi undersökt använder sig av ett dualt strategiperspektiv. Långsiktiga strategier används för utveckling av företagets strategiska och dynamiska resurser som dels skapar en stabilitet för företaget i den kaotiska miljön och dels kan verka som ett ramverk som sätter gränser för handlingsutrymmet.

CSR har växt fram i samband med att ansvarslöst företagande uppmärksammat och allmänhetens medvetenhet kring sociala frågor ökat. En del småföretag i textilindustrin har positionerat sig som etiska och miljövänliga. Ledarna i dessa småföretag har styrt företagen utifrån värderingar som är kopplade till deras personliga värderingar. Syftet med studien är att belysa hur små modeföretag som implementerat CSR i konkurrensstrategin hanterar problemen som uppstår vid ledarens avgång. För studien har en kvalitativ undersökning valts.
