This report describes the design and implementation of a multi-master, packet based protocol for small and tiny microcontrollers where resources are limited. The protocol was named "Tiny Controller Network" or TCN for short. The protocol is meant mainly as a control bus for automation and sensor acquisition applications but due to its flexibility can also be used for other purposes as well. It borrows some of its functionality and design ideas from the well known CAN bus and Modbus but also has a number of major differences like the use of standard hardware and time synchronisation. One of the key aspects during the design was the use of very little system resources and common on-chip hardware peripherals like a UART.

This is a report founded on a project by Atlas Copco called NYSTAB.  The application Nystab is a calculation program that can calculate the stability of the rockdrill-rigs made by Atlas Copco. The original version of Nystab is stored in a database from 1997 and the code is made in an old version of Visual Basic. My assignment was to develop the application in to a newer programming environment and make it last better in the upcoming years. The software I decided to use to accomplish this project is C# .NET in Visual Studio and Microsoft Access 2010. All the code is written in C# with some insertions from ADO.NET which helped me to easier connect the code with the database.The coding part was split into two pieces; the first was to develop the application scale done with Windows Forms, the second was to write the code for calculations in the application.

In contemporary encryption the vast amount of text subject to cracking has brought about the demand for methods distinguish files more likely to be encrypted. The encryption software Truecrypt can encrypt files that are not possible to identify with a file signature. To solve the detection problem, an algorithm sensitive to the absence of structure in the very code of files was developed. The program was written in the programming language EnScript which is built into the forensic software suite EnCase. The essential part of the algorithm therefore deployes the statistic of a chi-square test for deviance from a uniform distribution to distinguish files with contents that appear to be random.

Kina har det senaste decenniet haft en enastående ekonomisk tillväxt samtidigt som landet har en enorm marknadspotential för många svenska företag. Detta har medfört att många svenska företag har valt att flytta hela eller delar av sin verksamhet till Kina. Att etablera sig på en utländskmarknad där kulturen, lagar, språk och allt annat man stöter på är nytt kan innebära en stor risk och utmaning för företaget. Syftet med vår uppsats var därför att analysera och redogöra för de problem som små och medelstora företag stöter på vid etableringar i Kina samt vilken roll en agent kan spela för att hjälpa dessa företag vid deras etablering. Vår undersökningsmetod bestod av fem djupintervjuer med tre agenter och två företag samt en email-enkät som vi skickade till ett 60-tal små och medelstora företag där vi fick svar från 15 företag.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka likriktningen inom yrkeslärares kompetens med avseende på vegetarisk kost samt att utröna på vilket sätt vegetarisk kost bör ingå inom ramarna för restaurang- och livsmedelsprogrammet med utgång kock. Studien utfördes med sex lärare och programansvariga vid restaurang- och livsmedelsprogram med hjälp av strukturerade intervjuer som spelades in och sedan transkriberades. Sedan följdes intervjuerna upp med ett standardiserat email med ett fåtal ytterligare frågor då regeringen nyligen beslutat om möjlig kompetensutveckling för yrkeslärare. Undervisning i vegetarisk mat sker främst i storkök ? då genom kursen specialkost, lärarens benägenhet att inkludera det i övriga kurser hänger dels ihop med vederbörandes egna specialintressen och kunskaper samt huruvida vegetarisk mat anses vara ekonomiskt gångbar. Spjutspetskompetens hos läraren ger dock också en möjlighet för eleven att bredda sin kompetens genom att erhålla kunskaper som de inte skulle få från en annan lärare. Genom att anställa lärare med olika bakgrunder försöker vissa informanter få en bredd i arbetslaget där de olika lärarna kan komplettera varandras kunskaper.

Det huvudsakliga syftet med denna rapport är att genomföra och testa en implementationsteknik för ragdolls ämnade användas i spelsammanhang. Implementationen sker genom en kombination av en verletimplementering tillsammans med en fördefinierad bone-hierarki i meshen som skall användas. Verletimplementeringen programmerades som en grund till en enklare fysikmotor och parsningen och struktureringen av meshen sköttes parallellt utanför fysikmotorn. Rotationsmatriser för samtliga större kroppsdelar, såsom över- och underarmar, överkropp, huvud etc. beräknas sedan i fysikmotorn och används för att vrida mesh-kroppen rätt.

Forest enterprises have always searched for ways to improve efficiency. For the past few years there has been an emphasis on stock-keeping levels. Increased demand for fresh round timber and the need to decrease the amount of tied-up capital has made the forest industry reduce its inventory levels. This has brought on a higher demand on the timber supply from the forest management districts concerning both delivery in time and assortment output. As a result, the flow of timber has fluctuated a lot with serious consequence for the timber supply during 1994.

People live longer. There is a growing need to increase the knowledge of aging and of the need among the elderly for medical care in the near future. As a step towards meeting this need, a survey among the elderly in Skåne is made by the division of Geriatric Medicine in Malmö University Hospital. This survey is called Gott åldrande i Skåne, GÅS. A frequent decease among the elderly is Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI).

Denna rapport aterger arbetsprocessen kring att utvärdera geograskatjänster, och att utveckla karttillämpningar för nätverk av rikstäckande omfattning. Arbetet utfördes pa plats hos DGC, en datakommunikations-, tele- och nätoperatör som distribuerar kundförbindelser i hela Sverige där konsumenter ansluts till stamnätet. Uppgiften bestod av att utvärdera möjligheter till att slå upp koordinater för etablerade kundplatser, rita ut accessnätet i ett kartgränssnitt och ta fram ett eller flera stödverktyg för bland annat orderprocesser. Användningsfall utifrån önskemål, arkitekturmönster samt analys av yttre leverantörers tjänster för geocoding avgjorde hur det slutgiltiga systemet var utformat. Mjukvaran som utvecklades integrerades både i bentliga system och som ensamstående tillämpningar.

Abstract During object-oriented system development, programming should be preceded by analysis and design to assure that the system fulfils the demands of the customer and simplify during the development phase and documentation. When modeling the analysis and design phases, several different notations may be used. One of these is the UML (Unified Modeling Language) which this thesis will cover. The aim is to compare the use of the UML i practice versus what is said in the literature. The investigation is built upon interviews at different companies to receive their reflections about the UML.

This Bachelor thesis is a qualitative study of the public debate regarding the role of Public service in the media converged society today. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how the public debate, that is the Swedish Public service television and people with broad representative knowledge about Public service, motivates a change of the function of the Swedish Public service television.Our issues are: What does the public debate say about the function of Swedish Public  service television in our society today and how is a change motivated in this debate? How does the public debate look upon today´s media convergence and the fragmentation of the audience which, according to Denis McQuail, is a consequence of this?The method of this thesis is a qualitative analysis and we have analyzed ten opinion articles and Swedish Public service television magazine ?DittSvt?. The theoretical background was obtained from Henry Jenkins and Håkan Hvitfelts theories and thoughts about mediaconvergence. We have supplemented this with Denis McQuails theory regarding the fragmentation of the audience.In this thesis, we see that the public debate is a lot about diversity in Swedish Public service television programming and that the democratic base is still very important.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva en relation mellan ett svenskt tillverkningsföretag och ett kroatiskt distributörsföretag på den kroatiska livsmedelsmarknaden. För att besvara detta syfte gjordes en fallstudie av relationen mellan det svenska tillverkningsföretaget Pågen och det kroatiska distributionsföretaget Friva Galeb. Tillvägagångssättet var av kvalitativ design där data samlades in via intervjuer med nyckelpersoner på båda företagen och med relevant information från artiklar och undersökningar. Uppsatsen utgick från en analysmodell som skapades utifrån befintlig teori. Undersökningen kom fram till att Friva Galeb och Pågen har en långsiktig relation med tydlig rutin och rollfördelning.

The earmould acoustics affect the amplification that the hearing aid is programmed to give to its user. It is therefore important that the choices made for the earmould are correctly done. One choice is regarding the shape of the soundbore that affects the frequency response of the hearing aid above a certain cut-off frequency. The purpose of this project was to measure the frequency response when altering the shape of the soundbore in the earmould. Additionally, the aim was to examine how the frequency response is affected when the shape of the soundbore is not set or is not possible to set in the software when programming the hearing aid.

We have chosen to write our essay in collaboration with Varbergs kommun, where our starting point is to improve energy efficiency by management control. Their occupation separates from a pure profit driven corporation and therefore the management controls have to be adapted accordingly.  The reason why we have chosen to write an essay about the management control opportunities to improve the energy efficiency depends on two different reasons. The first reason is that we find it very interesting, how with support from the management control it is possible to improve different parts of the operation. And the second reason is that Varbergs kommun expressed a wish that they wanted to improve their energy efficiency process.The purpose of the essay is to describe and analyze the opportunities with support from the management control to help improving the process of energy efficiency in a municipal operation.
