This thesis work is made by Torbjörn Johansson on Karlstad University for Uddeholms AB. The assignment in this thesis work was to investigate tough cutting in three different tool steels: Vanadis 4 Extra, Vancron 40 and Sverker 21. The research was to compare the wear of the tool after cutting in each one of the tool steel alloys. The research was also made to see if the tool cutting in Vancron 40 has a better wear than the tool cutting in Vanadis 4 Extra and also compare the results with Sverker 21. All three of these alloys are a part of Uddeholms AB:s range of products, and is used in applications like forming tools and knife tools. Vancron 40 is a powder steel with a very good combination of mechanical properties like ductility, adhesive strength and hardness.

Arbetets syfte är att genom en textanalys av olika forskningsarbeten upptäcka sambanden mellan textila fibermaterial, buller och ohälsa med inriktning mot det öppna kontorslandskapet och det lågfrekventa ljudet. Utifrån syftet besvaras följande frågeställningar: Vilka kunskapsområden blir synliga vid tillverkning av textila ljudabsorbenter med inriktning mot det lågfrekventa ljudet? Vilka kunskapsområden kan en tillverkare av textila ljudabsorbenter behöva belysa utifrån ett specifikt ljudproblem? Frågeställningen besvaras genom en kvalitativ dokumentstudie där textmaterialet består av forskningslitteratur, facklitteratur och artiklar. Syftet är att utveckla nya perspektiv kring textila ljudabsorbenter. Genom att ge inblick kring ljudets beteende och skapa insikter kring hur buller påverkar hälsan.

The Swedish commercial real estate market is in the current situation globally affected and is actively interacting with the rental and capital markets through international tenants and investors who are setting new demands on the property owners. The European Union has set new requirements as well in purpose of reducing humanity?s negative effect on the climate and therefore the international real estate market has introduced Green Building-certificates in order to decrease the real estate industry?s environmental impact.Certificated buildings with low energy consumption are a more common sight in Sweden these days. The development, however, could go even faster if there was not certain difficulties between property owners and tenants. Previous research has revealed that tenants do not always have knowledge about, or may have access to the economic benefits that a green building can provide.

Syftet med examensarbetet är att kartlägga orsakerna till pulverspridningen på O?boyavdelningen samt att ge förslag på åtgärder som kan förbättra och underlätta arbetet med den periodiska rengöringen. Vid tillverkning av livsmedel är det av stor vikt att produktionen är hygienisk och att produkterna har hög kvalitet. Många gånger, i synnerhet vid tillverkning av pulverprodukter, såsom O?boy, kan det vara svårt att uppnå den önskvärda graden av renhet.

Föräldrakooperativet Lillmyran är en förskola som ligger i Gävle och de har en hemsida som behöver utvecklas. Förskolan ville ha hjälp med att först kartlägga vilka förväntningar medlemmarna hade på deras hemsida. Därefter skulle det undersökas om deras plattform för webbpublicering, CMS Made Simple, hade de tekniska förutsättningar som krävdes för att förverkliga deras önskemål. Till sist skulle även hemsidan utvecklas med tanke på de villkoren. Kartläggningen av förväntningarna på hemsidan skedde med hjälp av en enkätundersökning och systemet skapades med hjälp av CMS Made Simple.

To be able to adopt, the future adoptive parents must participate in parental education and have a home investigation done. The home investigation is extensive and great demands are made on the parents. The purpose with this study was to get an insight and understanding in the parents? thoughts and feelings about the demands and expectations that are made on them during an international adoption. To answer this, we used these questions: Which demands and expectations are made on the future adoptive parents by the home investigator and the parental educator? How do the future adoptive parents experience the demands and expectations that are made on them before an adoption? Does the apprehension about the demands and expectations differ between the future adoptive parents and the home investigator contrary the parental educator? We used a qualitative method, interviewing four couples of parents, one home investigator and one parental educator.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att belysa Scanias motiv för att insourca i en tid då outsourcing synes vara den mest utbredda trenden.För att besvara uppsatsens syfte har en kvalitativ fallstudie utförts genom att intervjua personer i Scanias verkställande ledning. Ett inourcingbeslut är av strategisk betydelse och är tätt sammankopplat med definitionerna av vad som är företagets kärnverksamhet och vilka dess konkurrensfördelar är. Scania ser produktion i allmänhet, och den av motornära komponenter i synnerhet, som kärnkompetens.

An efficient internal communicationis essential. At Elanders Digitaltryck a decision was made in august 2002 to look over the shiftworking system for the printer operators. In this paper, an investigation of the possibilities tochange the existing system to a better one was made.The project resultet in four different timetabels. The construction was based on theoretical studiesand an analysis of the current situation at the workplace.

Scania verkar på en global marknad med tillverkning på flera orter och en förutsättning för att kunna garantera kvalité på de produkter som levereras, oavsett vart de produceras, är ett konsekvent tillämpat standardiserat arbetssätt vid tillverkning och montering. Monteringsbeskrivningar - eller elementblad som de benämns på Scania är en viktig del i att kommunicera detta "standardiserade arbetssätt" över hela företaget och alla desstillverkningsenheter.Det s.k. standardiserade arbetssättet är relativt väl utvecklat mellan de verkstäder som monterar samma typ av huvudkomponenter, men i ett vidare perspektiv så förekommer det mellan olika enheter såväl skillnader i presentation av data i elementblad som arbetsmetoder för att ta fram dem. Det finns därför ett uttalat behov av att standardisera såväl framtagning som presentation av data i elementblad.Syftet med detta examensarbete har varit att utveckla och testa en effektiv arbetsprocess för att tidsätta och ta fram lättförståeliga elementblad med stöd av digitala underlag. Därmed har en koppling mellan processerna för digital provmontering och framtagning av elementblad skapats.

This work is a product development of a product which facilitates enduro drivers swallowing fluid while driving. My own experience of the problem and a custom survey gave me some frames and requirements of how such a product would look. To obtain the different concepts the method of brainstorming was used where I outlined the various proposals. The basic concept was that some kind of pump would build pressure in the liquid and when the user opens the nozzle the liquid will come out without the need to use the mouth to suck. The screening phase consisted of two steps.

In recent centuries the Swedish Tiled Stove has varied in its design with an aesthetic evolutionary history that has not only followed the architectural and artistic ideals but also the taste in stove design. The heat source has varied depending on the regional traditions and where it was located within the country, but the inside of the construction was of a similar five channel system. The purpose of this paper is to study and compare the design of tile matrices made by Emil Petterson with other Swedish stoves. The following questions will be addressed:What characterized the production of a small scale tile stove workroom during the years 1900-50? Which main styles can be described as Emil Pettersson?s ideal while producing his matrices? And finally, is it possible to study the tile stove matrices as objects of historical and cultural significance, and what difficult methodological issues might occur in the doing of it? To answer these questions I will present the results of the documentation of Pettersson?s tile matrices with detailed historical categorizations and schedules. The conclusion shows that Pettersson as a stove builder and -producer was characterized by eclectic ideals and a design shape based on more liberal interpretations of contemporary trends.

The basic intention of this study is founded on an ambition to make change within the competing activity at ?Svenska Brukshundklubbens Halmstadavdelning? (SBK Halmstad). This is a local association for owners of working dogs, where I am one of the members. A problem in engage a larger number of voluntarily working members in the association has been established and discussed over several years. My premier aim was to make the members award of different perspectives of the problem.

The purpose of this paper was to identify the elements and the alloys that five objects found in Birka consist of and to examine whether there are any significant differences between the presumably imported and domestic objects. The material was analyzed using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) which was equipped with an energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS) in order to identify the elements that are present and the alloys that the objects are made of. Then the SEM results were compared with the results of previous analyzes that have been performed on finds from Birka in order to investigate how the objects differ in elemental composition and to find out if there are any significant differences between them. The results showed that the objects? content of the elements analyzed varies as the copper alloys the objects are made of.
