People are usually directed towards each other in conversations, to make it easier to hear what is being said. Algorithms for voice and speech recognition works in a similar way, regarding the microphone direction towards the sound source. In this thesis in electronics has therefore a servo control with binaural sound localization been implemented on a microcontroller connected to two microphones.When people perceive sound, the brain can estimate the sound source direction by comparing the time taken by the sound reaching one ear to the other [1]. The difference in time is called the interaural time difference, and can be calculated using various techniques. An exploratory comparison between the techniques cross-correlation and cross-spectrum analysis was carried out before implementation.

Logistik är mer än transporter mellan olika platser. Stor del av ett företag och dess logistik kretsar kring de interna logistikfunktioner och hur de som företag ständigt jobbar för att förebygga flaskhalsar. En lagervariant som används för att skapa ett högre värde i en kedja är ett så kallat cross-dockinglager. I ett sådant förs ständigt ett arbete med att effektivisera processer med hjälp av olika tekniker och strategier. En teknik för att öka omsättningshastigheten i ett lager genom snabbare identifiering och spårning av gods som hanteras är Radio Frequency Identification (RFID).Syftet med studien är att belysa de ständigt återkommande problemområden som uppstår i ett cross-dockinglager samt hur en RFID-lösning skulle kunna stödja dess verksamhet.

Bakgrund: Bålträning kan användas vid prevention, behandling samt för att öka prestationsförmåga. Vilken typ av bålträning som är lämpligast för de olika ändamålen är dock fortfarande oklart, vilket till viss del beror på brist på tydliga definitioner inom området. Mot bakgrund av specificitetsprincipen inom träningslära och bålmuskulaturens olika indelningar och dess muskelfysiologi, vill författarna undersöka om en cross-overeffekt kan uppnås mellan två olika typer av uthållighetsträning, liksom träningens effekter på bålstabilitet. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva observerade och mätbara effekter av dynamisk bålträning på statisk uthållighet i bålmuskulaturen, och omvänt, samt de observerade och mätbara effekterna av de respektive träningsformerna på resultatet av ett bålstabilitetstest. Metod: Studiedesignen var single subject experimental design (SSED).

SUMMARYPrevious research has shown that there is a connection between the doorways and postoperative wound infections. Despite recommendations from Socialstyrelsen and the individual hospitals' PM there is still high traffic in the operating theatres. In a hybrid theatre environment combined X-ray techniques of surgery, resulting in it being further two categories inside the operating theatre. This may generate an increase in traffic flow. The study is a prospective, non-participant observation study conducted in the spring of 2013 at a university hospital in western Sweden.

Each year, Heterobasidion spp. is a major cause of economic losses to forestry in the northernhemisphere, including Sweden. New results indicate that pre?commercial thinnings could be at riskfor Heterobasidion spp. infections.

Infection with intestinal parasites can in many cases be the reason for decreased performance or production. The gastro-intestinal nematode, Ostertagia ostertagi, and the lungworm, Dictyocaulus viviparus, are the most pathogenic nematodes of cattle and severe infection can lead to death. They have both a direct lifecycle and on the pasture the parasites spread as freeliving worms. The parasites are mainly a problem for the first season grazers. They have not developed immunity against the parasites and are therefor more sensitive to parasite infections.

Denna uppsats grundar sig på ett examensarbete via Scandinavian Islands där syftet har varit att studera möjligheterna till att skapa en turistprodukt, utifrån temat vikingar, som kan förstärka och binda besöksnäringen i regionerna mellan länderna Sverige och Finland. Utifrån detta har frågor tagits fram i form av: Är det möjligt att skapa en cross-border produkt, i form av en vikingarutt, som sträcker sig mellan Sveriges och Finlands skärgård? Hur ser samarbetsmöjligheterna ut för en potentiell vikingarutt?, och Är vikingatemat något som skulle fungera året om, eller är det säsongsbetonat?För att besvara dessa frågor har vi utgått från framförallt kvalitativa metoder i form av intervjuer och informationssökning via olika webbsidor kopplade till temat. Den teoretiska referensramen grundar sig mycket utifrån turistiska perspektiv blandat med tankar från det kulturgeografiska. Under tidigare forskning tas exempel upp som både kan kopplas till temat och vikingarutten som attraktion, men även styrka teoriernas grundvärderingar.Under arbetets gång har vi kommit fram till att samarbete är något som viktigt vid skapandet av en cross-border produkt.

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to describe and compare the degree of selfreporting succession to the basal hygienic routines of emplyees working in municipal old peoples care versus hospital care. It is also to describe the access of material available in prevention of Cross infections. The study was also carried out with a comparative and quantitative run up design. The study is based on a questionnaire in the district of Gävleborg in the spring of 2009. Nurses, auxiliaries and carers whom were in close contact with patients were asked to join the study.

The Lodgepole pines susceptibility to Heterobasidion spp. was investigated in three parts ofthis study. AbstractPurpose/Aim: This essay deals with The Swedish Red Cross Society and their work concerning strategical information and communication about HIV and AIDS in the Swedish context. In a broader sense the relation between the global and the local will be investigated and a discussion about what it means to work in an organization operating on a global arena will be held.Material/Method: This essay is based on relevant theories about culture and health communication which I have studied, selected and put together, with purpose to analyse The Swedish Red Cross Society and their informational work with HIV and AIDS- prevention. Furthermore I have interviewed four of the organizations co- workers to collect data about their experiences in working in the Red Cross organization with this specific mission. Moreover I and my colleague Hillevi Good attended at seminars and lectures to observe activities held by the organization and to get inside information about what people working with HIV and AIDS are discussing and considering as critical issues. The study holds a qualitative approach focusing on understanding this typical case rather then generalizing facts in a larger sense.Main results: The Swedish National Society of The Red Cross has a difficult mission in their work to inform the public about HIV and AIDS, although it is the perfect organization when it comes to communication due to their well-known profile and a huge geographical spread.

A multivariate cross-sectional model is used in this thesis to proxy for expected earnings and to estimate return on equity for 214 companies over the period 2009-2013, using Swedish data. The model, which has never been tested on Swedish data before, is first confirmed to function as a forecasting model for expected return. Furthermore, the model is evaluated through a comparison with two univariate models based on the assumption that return on equity follows a mean reversion process. Forecast accuracy is calculated as the difference of estimated returns and actual returns. The results show that the univariate models' forecasts are superior to the multivariate model's..

ABSTRACTIntroduction: Preoperative hand disinfection aims to prevent surgical site infections. After the preparing hand wash, drying is performed using an aseptic technique. It?s important to dry hands thoroughly in order to achieve the full effect of the alcohol based hand disinfection. Due to the lack of a evidence-based guideline on this procedure, the hand drying techniques differ among operating theatre nurses, depending on which technique seen as the most appropriate.

In this paper I examine the development from a critical perspective and I map the democratic pitfalls of new territorial political constructions across national borders. Flooding events are no longer rare, floods occur all over the world. Accordingly, it is vital for the society and different authorities to work with flood mapping. To meet the goal of Uppsala kommun to map the risks of floods in Uppsala län, a map of the different areas around Funboån which are inside the area of risk for flooding have been developed.In the work, cross sections and the water flow have been measured. Moreover, an echo-sounding have been carried out in Funboån to map the bottom topography. From the bottom map and laser scanned data covering the study area, a terrain model was created.

The Results of this thesis was the creation of two designed house variants with a module toall the apartments. In addition till the first module there are three other modules ofapartments that can be put in the houses if it so needs. The house are volume prefabricatedand are placed on site in a way that it create an enclosure of the area which faces against thenature and car parks also lies hidden behind these houses.For the actual structure, a cross beam was created to carry the floor above and it is supportby all four walls. The structure between the first and the second floor has no "syll" butinstead there are two differently alternative to linking the floors in order so that it will notmove. The reason with this solution was that there will not be any subsidence when theforces from above are pressed down ward.
