The goal of this study is to gain knowledge and understanding of how a teacher can apply mathematics with assistance from practical mathematics. Students? point of view on mathematics within practical mathematic lessons will also be examined. Four teachers from preschool to third grade in primary school were interviewed. 30 students from grades one to three were also surveyed. The study shows that teachers see a major benefit when practical mathematics is used in the theoretical teachings of mathematics.

This masters thesis is a study of official political documents in order to discuss privatisation and the Swedish public libraries. In the 1990s public libraries became placed on contractors, and that was said to be one form of privatisation. The main issue for this study concerns driving forces and obstacles for privatisation of public libraries. Another issue concerns advantages and risks. We will also discuss how the future of public libraries will be in this context.

Problemdiskussion: Mångtalet forskare har argumenterat för behovet av kreativitet i dagens problematiska organisationsklimat och med detta som grund har forskningen om kreativitet fått stor uppmärksamhet och utvecklats i nära alla tänkbara riktningar. Trots detta finns det ett område som fortfarande är mycket outforskat, nämligen det om kreativitet och styrelser. Då samband påvisats mellan styrelser och, de till kreativitet nära besläktade områdena, innovation samt intraprenörskap uppskattar vi emellertid att styrelsen har en betydelsefull roll också i skapandet av kreativitet.Syfte: Vårt syfte är att skapa förståelse för styrelsens roll i skapandet av kreativitet i den enskilda organisationen.Metod: Studien bygger på en flerfallsdesign och är genomförd med en kvalitativ forskningsstrategi och en abduktiv forskningsansats. Som undersökningsmetod användes kvalitativa intervjuer av semi-strukturerad karaktär.Slutsats: För båda fallföretag tolkar vi att styrelsen spelar en betydelsefull och främjande roll i den kreativitetskapande processen i den enskilda organisationen. Domestic science is an interdisciplinary subject. Furthermore domestic science is a combination of theory and practice. The basic competence, a recommendation from ?The Swedish School Institution? The aim of my study is to investigate methods which class teachers implement concerning aesthetic subjects in elementary classes. It is a qualitative study about five teacher´s working in different elementary schools. This study investigates how and why teacher´s approaches when they integrate aesthetics in other subjects. It also investigates teacher´s attitude towards aesthetics. My study emphasizes on why they use asthetics and what the importance of aesthetics for children is.

Open source is growing outside the boundaries of hackers, amateurs and software development, creating a humongous potential in many different areas and aspects of society. The intrinsic and extrinsic motivations that drives open source have been in the subject of much research recently, but how they affect each other when paid and unpaid contributors come together is still hidden in obscurity. In this study I investigate how intrinsic and extrinsic motivation correlates with each other and how those correlations affect paid and unpaid open source software contributors. The literature synthesis is based on of systematic reviews through searches in library databases, identification of articles by searching on the Internet and by reading relevant books. My results indicate that intrinsic and extrinsic motivations continuously affect each other and that paid contributors are more vulnerable since their extrinsic motivation in terms of money is reached only when many other motivations are fulfilled.

Syftet är att studera instrumentallärares syn på hantering av elevers internalisering av musikaliska uttryck. Det sociokulturella perspektivet med fokus på hur redskap påverkar internaliseringen är utgångspunkt för studien. Metoden utgörs av semistrukturerad intervju där fyra formellt och reellt utbildade instrumentallärare som arbetar på musik- eller kulturskola har intervjuats om vilka musikaliska uttryck de har i fokus i undervisningen och deras syn på hur elever lär sig musikaliska uttryck. Resultatet visar att det finns flertalet olika redskap för att nå musikaliska uttryck, bland annat eleven själv, musiken som sådan och den sociala omgivningen. Det viktigaste musikaliska uttrycksmedlet är rytm i förhållande till tempo.

Background: A great part of all projects within Swedish industry are conducted in a multiprojectenvironment, which means that several projects are performed simultaneously. The research within the field of project management is though focused on single projects. Projects are highly dependent on the context in which they are conducted, although the organization of the multiprojectenvironment is only partly explored. Furthermore is the research within the project management highly concentrated on standardization of the project work. The question is whether this implies to the basic advantages with the project-oriented organization, which is flexibility and Creativity? Purpose: To describe and obtain an understanding for the multiprojectenvironment regarding management control and organization.

The purpose of this thesis is to study and determine how working in cross functional teams can generate value in an effort to facilitate innovation. An inductive scientific perspective is chosen as the research approach. A single case is investigated with the theoretical framework based on Resource Based View, Intellectual Capital, Innovation theory and theories concerning Cross Functional Teams. The empirical material has been collected through primary data; surveys, interviews and secondary data; literature, websites and further complementary data. The practice of using Cross Functional Teams will enhance organizational learning, knowledge transfer, increase communication and innovation, which in turn will increase the speed and performance of the new product development process.

The role-playing game attracts a growing number of practisers. The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine role-playing literature as phenomenon in libraries through librarians´ attitudes. The paper is based on qualitative interviews with eight librarians: one personal interview with two librarians and six e-mail interviews with six librarians at different libraries. The paper starts with a definition of the term ?role-playing game?, its different categories and genres and a description of its background.

Kreativitet är resultatet av personliga egenskaper, kognitiva förmågor och sociala miljöer. Studiens syftet var att undersöka hur kreativitet är relaterat till självkänsla, ålder och genus hos gymnasieungdomar. 111 deltagare varav 77 flickor, 17-21 år deltog. Ett tredelat test användes med frågor om fritidsaktiviteter (aktivitet), ett självkänslatest (?Jag tycker jag är?) samt ett kreativitetstest (Unusual Uses test).

AbstractOur study deals with intrapreneurship in local activity. The main purpose of this study is to understand, explain and develop the concept of intrapreneurship in local activity with the help of existing information, our discussion, and reasoning and with the help of theoretical concepts. One reason for the choice of this topic was our pure curiosity towards this quite unique and unexplored phenomenon. We know that the term intrapreneurship in local activity has not existed longer than about ten years and the amount of existing thesis of intrapreneurship in local activity is very few. The information about intrapreneurship in local activity is mainly collected by studying Örebro´s intrapreneurship policies but also by studying other local authorities in Eksjö, Umeå and Västra-Götaland.

Studien syftade till att undersöka och belysa hur FM:s ledarskap uppfattar och beskriver FM:s lärandemiljö och samtida utmaningar. Studien avsåg även att genom sina fynd, visa på indikativa linjer kring hur ett ledarskap som främjar lärandemiljön och möter samtidens utmaningar kan förstås. Det empiriska underlaget bestod av en enkätundersökning där 55 officerare med mångårig ledarerfarenhet inom FM deltog. Dessa var indelade i två grupper. Studien hade en tvärvetenskap-lig metodologisk ansats och omfattade både kvantitativa och kvalitativa analysmetoder.
