Certifications is common for IT in relation to individual program languages or program applications. Certifications for educations that endures several years is not as common to see. In this paper the situation for the Systems Science programme is researched, by investigating how the programme looks around in Sweden. Also by using interviews, show how companies and people responsible for the programme in Umeå, think the contact is between them and how the knowledge of the Systems Science students are from the view of the companies that employ them. In the end the conclusions show that there are differences in the Systems Science programme, and that the companies have quite a similar view of what the Systems Science students are good and not so good at.

The energy use in a workshop company has been examined in this work in order to find areas for energy efficiency improvement. The combined oil and electricity heating in the company were compared with other alternative heating systems including cooling of the premises in following combinations:Ground source heat pump for heating and coolingDistrict heating and absorption coolingDistrict heating and low temperate surface water coolingEnergy use, operation costs and carbon dioxide emissions were calculated for the current heating systems and the three alternatives including cooling. The ground source heat pump for heating and cooling decreases bought energy with 34 MWh annually compared to current heating only. The district heating and low temperate surface water cooling has the largest reduction of operation cost and carbon dioxide. The operation cost decreases with 42 kSEK and the carbon dioxide with 43 metric ton CO2 annually.

Outdoor housing of horses? best fulfils the horses? need for physical activity and it is an alternative to the more cost and energy demanding indoor housing in stables. Furthermore, if outdoor housed horses have access to shelter they can generally cope well with adverse weather conditions such as high or low ambient temperature, heavy rain or strong winds. In this study, the daytime shelter-seeking behaviour of three groups of horses housed outdoors was studied during the summer. The aim was to evaluate whether shelter use is related to weather variables (e.g., ambient temperature and wind speed) and insect harassment. The shelter-seeking behaviour was studied for three different groups of horses: Group 1) eight individually housed horses in paddocks that had access to three different shelter types (C: closed on three sides with roof, R: open on three sides with roof, W: closed on three sides without roof), Group 2) 25 group housed mares with foals on pasture with access to shelters C, and Group 3) ten mares without foals on pasture without access to shelter. Each group was studied for eight days.

År 2015 ska alla avrinningsområden i EU-länderna vara fastställda. Anledningen till detta är att år 2000 trädde ett vattendirektiv i kraft. Syftet med direktivet är att skapa en helhetssyn för vattenresurserna i Europa och för att få en enhetlig och övergripande lagstiftning. I Sverige har SMHI redan bestämt vattendelare och avrinningsområden för ett stort antal områden i landet, men i och med direktivet har det blivit ett krav. En helhetssyn på vattenresurser tillsammans med kunskaper om geologi är en förutsättning för en hållbar utveckling och ett effektivt tillvaratagande av naturresurserna.

Internet  has  given  possibilities  to  a  whole  new world within communication. Nowadays  the communication  inside organisations and companies  takes place  through  the Internet. The  idea  of  this paper  arose when one of  the  authors discussed  the  general  involvement of  the  tenant-owner?s association  in  the committee. Providing a new channel  for  communication  through a homepage  could  affect  the  attitude  of  the  tenants.  We  were  curious  of  what  effect  on communication  introducing a homepage would give.

Planer på att bygga Norrbotniabanan mellan Umeå och Luleå har gjort att de berörda städerna börjat förbereda sig på en eventuell utbyggnad, bl.a. genom att utreda möjliga placeringar och utformningar på resecentrum. I Luleå utgör området Östra Stranden, öster om dagens järnvägsstation, den enskilt största kvarvarande markreserven för bebyggelse på centrumhalvön. Östra Stranden har därför potential att möta framtida efterfrågan på mark för expansion av stadsbebyggelsen. Idag utvecklas järnvägsstationer mot att vara mer än ett centrum för resande och transport.

This project aims to explore how to create a working concept-based flower shop visual identity, with focus on brandig, eco-branding and visual communication. My main question is: How do I create effective visual communication for an ecological flower shop? The results of this thesis are that there are things to consider when creating a visual identity with an ecological concept. The most important question is if there is any benefit for your company to go green, otherwise positioning of your company will be hard. What I realized during the design part of my project was that if I use the methods described in this thesis and consequently applying my choices after the flower shops identifying words, a working concept-based visual identity will be possible to create..

Economy and environment has for a long time been studied separately and seen as incompatible. With a growing society and increasing pressure on environmental issues the need of a new economy with the environment included is necessary. This study examine if European Union´s picture of the waste hierarchy match the reality. Since the purpose with the waste hierarchy is to benefit environmental and economy. A survey was made over Käppalaförbundets waste from 2013, to see where the waste falls in the waste hierarchy.

Ridskolor är en plats där många unga människor lär sig om hästar. Därför är det viktigt att det de lär sig är god hästkunskap. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur de ansvariga för ridskolehästar planerar och lägger upp utfodringen, vilken information de själva hämtar och utnyttjar. En enkätundersökning genomfördes. Trehundra enkäter skickades ut och 56 svar erhölls.

Industrial buildings are increasing all over Sweden. Farmers are building new modern facilities and the government chooses to build new halls to invest i youth sports. Glulam is the most common framework but there are limitations because of the transport. Therefore, there is a need to develop new solutions to increase the use of glulam.The maximum torque in the eaves was found in the frame with a roof pitch of 18 degrees and a wingspan of 25 meters. Using hand calculations according to Eurocode and comparison with the computer software StatCon, the maximum torque, shear force and utilization rate is calculated.

Genom denna studie har jag a?mnat att analysera hur svensk nyhetspress gett uttryck fo?r en ikonisk ha?ndelse i hanteringen av Sverigedemokraterna i samband med att dessa blev invalda i Riksdagen ho?sten 2010. Syftet med studien har varit att utifra?n mina teoretiska utga?ngspunkter se vad en ikonisk ha?ndelse betyder i nyhetspressens rapportering kring Sverigedemokraterna i samband med valet och en tid efter detta. Utga?ngspunkterna i studien har utgjorts av teorier med fokus pa? tendenser i hur media skildrar betydande ha?ndelser, samt det kollektiva minnet.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att belysa en del av problematiken kringundertextning av utländska filmer. Analysen är begränsad tillöverföringen av svordomar till svenska undertexter i den brittiska filmenBilly Elliot (2000) och ger svar på bland annat följande frågor: Vilkafunktioner fyller svordomar? Vilka strategier använder undertextare vidöversättning av svordomar i talade repliker till skrift i undertexter?Vilken effekt har resultatet av överföringen?Undertextning av film i olika media utförd av olika undertextare kannaturligtvis variera i utformning och kvalitet. Resultatet av överföringfrån tal till skrift i undertexter kan dels bero på normer, men också påundertextarens arbetssituation framförallt med tanke på tid ochhjälpmedel. Oavsett undertextarens ambition, intention ocharbetssituation bör det ligga i dennes natur att vilja använda deingreppsstrategier som kräver minst justeringar av talet i replikerna.Trots detta finner jag ett relativt lågt antal av ingreppskategorinstrykning i förhållande till vad jag hade förväntat mig.

The purpose of the house which is the basis of this report is to be able present itself on the market as a relatively cheap and at the same time a climate friendly choice. The house is supposed to be able to be built anywhere in Sweden and the rest of Scandinavia in a short period of time. This puts demand on what kind of heating system the house can have, since not all places have the geographic advantage of being able to use geothermal or district heating. Therefore the heating system choices will only include those that are not limited by their geographic location. The house will be built in modules which only require the groundwork to be done before the house can be erected. In this report "System solutions for plus or passive-housing" a comprehensive literature search has been conducted as well as a number of calculations.

The idea with constructions made out of prefabricated elements is that it should be quick and easy to build as the demands for lower production costs, increased profitability and shorter production times are constantly increasing. High accuracy in measurements and well-balanced tolerances is required to achieve this. The fact that the concrete-elements doesn?t fit and that damage occurs during assembly is a highly topical issue even though we now have methods and systems that make this high-intensity construction possible. Through this report we want to highlight the problems that cause the dimensional and tolerance problems and give suggestions on how to come to terms with these.

In Sweden there are 299 000 working in the construction industry. The construction industry is one of the industries where most accidents occur every year. During the last ten years there have been 111 death accidents in the construction industry and 48 of them were falling accidents. That means, in average, one death accident every month.Falling accidents gives serious injuries to the persons who are affected by them. It is anticipated that this report will investigate the factors beyond the falling accidents and also to present proposals that can decrease the number of falling accidents in the future.To secure a healthy and safe construction site it is of great importance that both the employers and the employees cooperate towards the same goal.
