En ekonometrisk analys av den permanenta inkomsthypotesenTopic/course: NEKK01, Bachelor thesisWriters: Ida Hedlund, Anna Persdotter Supervisor: Fredrik NG Andersson Keywords: Permanent income hypothesis, Milton Friedman, Consumption smoothing, Sweden Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to examine whether the permanent income hypothesis can be applied on the Consumption pattern of Sweden during the time period 1950-2006. Method: To do the observation an econometric regression analysis has been made. The variables tested are Consumption, real GDP, stock- and real estate market prices. In the model three different time periods have been investigated to facilitate the origin of different patterns.

Hållbar konsumtion av nötkött och mjölk

Sustainable beef and milk Consumption. The Consumption of beef and dairy products in Sweden is high. A lot of greenhouse gases are emitted from the production of these products. The production of beef in Sweden has decreased but the import has increased. The number of dairy cows has decreased while beef-production with suckler-cows has increased in Sweden.

Ungdomar, alkohol och normer

This master essay is about teenagers, alcohol and the preventing measures taken by the Swedish government. Consequences of the rising Consumption of alcohol among adolescents and how to prevent dangerous alcohol Consumption in the future is one of the most prioritized issues in the Swedish society today. Today there is no prevention that clearly shows any effect on teenager?s alcohol Consumption and the education about the dangerous effect of alcohol is clearly not the same in schools around Sweden. To gain knowledge about how teenagers view their own Consumption of alcohol we have used the Grounded Theory.

Prediktering av fartygsbränsleförbrukning i varierandesjötillstånd

During the 2000s, the ship owners have become more and more concerned thattheir ships save fuel. Several projects have been undertaken to exploit the resourcesavailable on board today?s vessels to reduce fuel Consumption. As a stepin this the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) today offera Weather Routing service to ships. By planning your route more effectivelymuch fuel can be saved. This thesis has been about developing a fuel prediction program (FPP) forhow much fuel a ship consumes in different sea conditions.

Påverkar kaffekonsumtion risken för stroke?

Sahlgrenska Academy at University of GothenburgDepartment of Department of Internal Medicine and Clinical NutritionAbstractTitle: Does coffee Consumption affect the risk of stroke?Author: Jenny KällSupervisor: Heléne Bertéus ForslundExaminer: Anna WinkvistProgramme: Dietician study programme, 180/240 ECTSType of paper: Examination paper, 15 hpDate: May 22, 2012___________________________________________________________________________Background: The widespread Consumption of coffee worldwide makes this drink interesting to study from a public health perspective. Even minor health effects may be important for the whole population. Stroke patients require the largest number of days spent in hospitals and nursing homes than any other medical condition group. Risk factors for stroke include smoking, high alcohol intake, physical inactivity, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, high waist-hip ratio and diabetes.

Blutsafts inverkan på blodets hemoglobinvärde

The aim of the study was to test whether or not menstruating women?s levels of haemoglobin changed after three weeks Consumption of Blutsaft. Previous studies on nutrition supplements including iron have shown increased haemoglobin levels. On Blutsaft, however, there are no studies carried out and published. The participants in this pilot study were menstruating women, with haemoglobin levels between 105 and 125 g/l at the initial part of the study.

Vad är svaret på tidningsdöden? : En kvalitativ studie om unga universitetsstudenters nyhetskonsumtion

The media industry, and especially the news, in Sweden is living in a dark world that seems to get even darker by the minute. According to Nordicom (2013) the number of readers in the ages 15-24 has dropped by 24 percentage points between 2007 and 2012. This is a big problem for the news industry, but also for democracy that require citizens that are well-read and know what is going on in society. Enda and Mitchel (2013) found that 65% of people in the USA have stopped reading a certain news source since it no longer fits their needs. Maybe with a better understanding for young adults needs this trend can change. This qualitative study was conducted using interviews with eight respondents to find out why young adults who study at a university consume news.

Frekvens och spanningsskalning i en inbyggd mikroprocessor; for att mojliggora implementationen av schemalaggning med stod for dynamisk frekvens- och spanningsreglering for energihantering.

Minimizing power Consumption is a critical part of many embedded design projects. Thechallenge is to limit the power Consumption of the system and at the same time providesatisfactory service to the user. With regards to microprocessors, the main way of limiting powerConsumption during program execution is to adjust the frequency and the voltage at which theprocessor operates. To enable the implementation of real-time scheduling with support for dynamic voltage andfrequency scaling, an exhaustive study of the Freescale i.MX31 embedded microprocessor isperformed. Specifically, the power Consumption relationship to all relevant frequency andvoltage settings is investigated. In addition, to enable frequency and voltage scaling in a real-timeenvironment, a complete timing analysis of proposed voltage and frequency scaling methods isperformed and their suitability for use in real-time systems is evaluated. To integrate voltage and frequency scaling capability into OSE RTOS, a software module hasbeen developed for this operating system.

Barkar det åt skogen för svenskt tidningspapper? : empirisk analys av efterfrågan och företagsstrategier på den svenska marknaden

According to Food and Agriculture Organization newsprint is defined as: Uncoated paper, unsized (or only slightly sized), containing at least 60 percent of mechanical wood pulp. The Consumption of newsprint in Sweden was just over 798 000 tonnes in 2009, which represents approximately 90 kg per person. Although there are studies that predict a drastic reduction in newsprint Consumption in the Western world, there seems to be a clear difference between forecasts for the future given by statistical analysis of newsprint Consumption and forecasts given by experts in the industry. The former predict a continuing increase while the experts see a coming decrease in Consumption. In this report, both demand and business strategies of newsprint in Sweden are studied. The study also presents a forecast of the future which is based on historical data and qualitative interviews.

Beräkning av värmeenergiförluster i flerbostadshus genom analys av den totala fjärrvärmeenergianvändningen :

This thesis has been carried out on behalf of IV Produkt AB and intends to set an average ratio of thermal energy losses in apartment buildings that were built during the 1960-1990. This shall be derived by analyzing the total district energy Consumption that has been divided into three parts: heat energy losses (the actual heating requirements), the heating of domestic hot water and heating energy Consumption for the controlled ventilation.Three different residential areas that were built during the years 1962-1966 and one that was built in 1993 has been analyzed. All residential areas are located in Växjö urban and contains between four and six apartment buildings. The analyzed objects have a mechanical exhaust ventilation systems and district heating as the heating method. No own laboratory work or experiments have been done in this thesis, the calculations have been done on the basis of parameters from VEAB, interviews with property managers, and literature studies. By calculations, we have got a result that is reported in Chapter 6.

Television eller ?tell-lie-vision?* : En kvalitativ studie om barns tevekonsumering och deras egna tankar omkring den.

This examination intends to find out what thoughts children in around 12 years of age thinks about their own television Consumption. To examine this, the questions in issue is: ?What does the children watch on television?? ?Why do they watch the programs they do?? ?How do the children speak about their own Consumption?? ?What does the children learn from TV?? ?Are the children concious of the impressions they take from TV?? ?Do they speak critical about TV?? ?Is there anything indicating on some kind of influence from the childrens television Consumption?? .To answer these questions I have chose to hold qualitative interviews, to let the children?s own thoughts be the foundation of the examination. The theories in this examine are that the person who does the Consumption from different forms of television takes the information personally out of her own reality. Meaning that the person watching is the judge of how she applies the information to herself.

Passivhus - En undersökning om varför det inte byggs fler passivhus i Sverige

This thesis tries to clarify why more houses such as passive houses is not built and at the same time the differences is described with the conventional construction as a starting point. Sweden has set environmental objectives to reduce energy Consumption in buildings by 50 percent by the year 2050 compared to 1995. The passivehouse concept could have a significant role, particularly in the reconstruction of buildings with high energy Consumption. For sustainable building the passivehouse technology is an economically viable concept while benefiting the environment. Initially an introduction is given of the background to the problem, purpose and objective of the thesis.

Mediekonsumtion som verktyg för ungdomars identitetsbildning : En kvalitativ studie om hur ungdomar använder medier för att påverka andras bild av deras identitet

The purpose of this study was to investigate to what extent  young adults use media to create the image of themselves. The questions we wanted to answer was as follows: what does the media use of young adults look like compared to their attitudes towards media content; what awareness do they have of other young adults attitudes concerning media content; and finally, how do these attitudes affect their own media use?Media Consumption is a great part of  the daily lives of young adults living in Sweden: the national  average media Consumption is seven hours a day, for 15-24 year olds. This provides a new way for young adults to express their identity - by showing their use of different media content, they can change other's perception of themselves. The method we used in our study was a combination between a quantitative and a qualitative method. We first made a survey in three classes with senior year high school-students, in a Swedish school.

Effektivisering av energianvändningen i en förskola

This rapport contains an examination of the energy Consumption of a kindergarten, which areas that have the largest impact on the energy Consumption and what can be done to reduce those areas in ways that are relatively easy and profitable. It is also analyzed if it is possible to reduce the energy Consumption from today?s Consumption to a Consumption that fulfils the demands placed on low energy houses by FEBY.The focus has been on reducing the energy Consumption of the areas ventilation, heating system and hot water system, since those seemed to be the easiest ones to affect and since the building is quite recently built. There are different kinds of ventilation systems, at the moment the building have a CAV-system, which means that the ventilation is too high during large parts of the day. There are different ways to manage the ventilation system, for example presence detection, humidity sensors, CO2 sensors, temperature sensors and season adjustment. Many of those are in the end dependent on CO2 sensors to guarantee a good indoor climate, therefore the focus have been placed on this system.

Energibolagens framtida datainsamling

The Swedish energy companies have several different systems for data collection of the energy Consumption of their clients. Often computerized remote meter readers are put in practice in order to register the energy Consumption of large companies. The majority of household clients, however, are read off by the assistance of manual methods. Household power Consumption is read off once a year. As a result, these clients are not debited for their actual Consumption; their invoices during the year are the result of estimations.
