In contemporary encryption the vast amount of text subject to cracking has brought about the demand for methods distinguish files more likely to be encrypted. The encryption software Truecrypt can encrypt files that are not possible to identify with a file signature. To solve the detection problem, an algorithm sensitive to the absence of structure in the very code of files was developed. The program was written in the programming language EnScript which is built into the forensic software suite EnCase. The essential part of the algorithm therefore deployes the statistic of a chi-square test for deviance from a uniform distribution to distinguish files with contents that appear to be random.

This thesis studies how readers of the electronic book (the e-book) use and perceive the electronic medium as a carrier of fiction. In this study it is assumed that fiction is mostly read in printed format. Therefore it is interesting to ask why some readers choose to read on screen. As there are all too few studies conducted on how readers perceive and use the e-book as a medium, this study aims to enrich an undeveloped research area. The study is based upon a qualitative questionnaire.

inget nytt fenomen. Dock är detta en del av vardagen på diariet i Regionens Hus
i Mariestad, där de tre registratorernas arbetsprocesser innehåller ett antal
problem som bland annat är datorrelaterade. Rapporten beskriver arbetet på
diariet, de problem som finns, vem som äger problemen, och innehåller också en
diskussion runt de befintliga problemen. Rapporten tar upp allt från
postöppning till sökfel i programmet Diabas och mycket annat som ingår i
arbetet som registrator. De problem som finns i arbetet på diariet har hopat
sig över registratorerna som känner att det inte finns någon självklar part som
de kan vända sig till för att få hjälp.

To be able to handle tomorrows need for limited energy consumption we need to reduce our use of energy. The building sector stands for around 40 % of all energy consumption in the society. The government has put up a goal to reduce the energy consumption in our buildings with 20 % by year 2020 and 50 % by year 2050 compared with year 1995. To be able to do reach that goal we need a more energy efficient building stock.The main part of the energy used in our buildings is used for space heating. By installing ventilation systems with heat recovery on the exhaust air it is possible to use the heat-energy in the exhaust air to warm up the incoming air.

Ants and termites in small-scale plantain farms in Uganda : a comparison between agroforestry and non-agroforestry farms
This study was conducted in Kkingo district, west of Masaka, Uganda. It compared soil macrofauna abundance in non-agroforestry farms with that of agroforestry farms. The agroforestry farms had participated in the Vi Agroforestry´s program between 1995 and 2006, and continued on their own after 2006, when Vi Agroforestry left the area. The soil macrofauna is important for soil structure and processes that are contributing to soil organ-ic matter decomposition and nutrient mineralization. They are also predators of potential pests.

Förstudie till våtmark i Rimbo : Design för optimal hydrologi och kväverening
The euthropthication of the Baltic Sea is a threat that is beginning to be taken seriously by the governments concerned. In Sweden, regulations concerning the allowed nitrogen (N) concentration in the effluent water from wastewater treatment plants are being tightened up. The Rimbo wastewater treatment plant has been imposed to reduce the annual mean concentration of total N in the effluent water to levels below 15 mg l-1. A more and more common way to reduce the nitrogen level in wastewater is to let the water pass through a wetland. This study investigates the possibility to build this kind of wetland at the outlet of the Rimbo wastewater treatment plant.A prestudy of the topography, soil characteristics and groundwater flow indicates that the land area in question is well suited for the construction of a wetland.

Genom vår undersökning ville vi ta reda på om SALSA, Vodafones data warehouse
tillgodoser användarnas informationsbehov. Som stöd för vår analys jämförde vi
befintliga teorier inom områdena information samt data warehouse, med
tillämpning i verkligheten genom vårt referensföretag. Undersökningen har
utförts genom skriftliga intervjuer samt enkäter, där två olika
undersökningsgrupper ingått. Den ena gruppen har utgjorts av SALSAs utvecklare
och den andra av SALSAs användare.
Den hypotes som vi arbetat med är "SALSA tillgodoser användarnas
informationsbehov" med underfrågorna "Vilka krav kan användarna rimligen ställa
på SALSA?", "Vilken information saknar användarna att få fram från SALSA?",
"Vilka förslag på förbättringar gällande SALSA har användarna?" samt "Räcker
användarforum för att framföra användarnas synpunkter på SALSA?".
Då vi analyserat och bearbetat materialet från enkätundersökningen samt
besvarat våra frågeställningar, har vi verifierat vår hypotes.

SOA eller tjänsteorienterad arkitektur har varit bokstavsförkortningen som tagit de flesta med storm de senaste åren. Det har även varit den arkitektur som åstadkommit mest uppståndelse i media. Dock har den i mediala skrifter så gott som uteslutande fått stående ovationer och nästan höjts till skyarna som frälsaren för alla verksamheter, stora som små. Denna studie ställer sig frågande till om medias bild av SOA verkligen stämmer överens med verkligheten samt huruvida SOA kan leva upp till de förväntningar som måttats.Målet med uppsatsen är att fungera som något av en motpol till den positiva kritik som SOA blivit tilldelad. Att få se båda sidor av samma mynt är således något av ett ledord som genomsyrat studien från början till slut.

Positive human to cattle interactions and the possibilities to increase animal welfare, economy and safety for farmers
Cattle production systems are changing to bigger intensified systems with larger numbers of animals per farm and more free range systems while at the same time employing fewer people. Aversive handling has been known to affect cattle production negatively for many years, but lately scientists have started to focus more on what positive effects gentle handling and positive human-cattle interactions may have on beef and dairy production. Fear can cause high stress in production animals and this can contribute to not only reduced production within beef and dairy cattle, but also increased risks for accidents and decreased animal welfare. Therefore, by reducing the fear cattle experience of humans, it could be possible to increase production, decrease accidents and increase the welfare of the animals. Reducing the animals fear and stress can be done by simple means, such as walking and talking calmly around the cattle, associating humans to positive feelings (such as feed) and stroking the cattle?s body regions associated with social grooming.

Bakgrund: Produktutvecklingsprocessen har på senare tid kommit att ses som en strategisk aktivitet som är avgörande för företagets överlevnad eftersom produktens utförande och kostnader till stor del fastställs innan tillverkning påbörjas. ?Target Costing? har sitt ursprung från Toyota i Japan och är en metod för strategisk kostnadsstyrning som har vuxit fram för att tidigt styra kostnader. Metoden används för att integrera kostnadsstyrning i produktutvecklingsprocessen i samstämmighet med kundkrav och företagets egna vinstkrav.Syfte: Syftet med studien är att beskriva och analysera hur ?Target Costing? används i produktutvecklingsprocessen på Volvo Construction Equipment i Braås för att ge kunskap till nya potentiella användare.
