Att engagera sig eller att inte engagera sig : En studie om vilka informationskanaler och motivationsfaktorer som påverkar studenters val gällande föreningsengagemang
Both authors of this study have been involved in the School of Business at Umeå University Student Association (HHUS) and is due this discovery deficiencies and problems within the association. The pressure to engage in HHUS is compared with other financial organizations around the country very low. This led us to consider why this is the case. From experience we know that communication between the association and its members are not functioning optimally. Communication itself is essential for motivating students and for that motivation should be high for the students to experience good quality on the engagement. The purpose of this study is to identify lines of communication and motivational factors that affect students who are members of HHUS to get involved or not.

This thesis aims to show how the Kalmar municipality works with this type of strategic communication to build the Kalmar brand and how their communication efforts can be improved. The thesis is mainly based on theories concerning Public relations and News Management but also the medias impact on forming opinion. An important issue throughout the thesis is that all theories must be related to the fact that the study concerns an organization in the public sector and the obligations that comes with that fact.
"Gifta ihop" Lean och kreativitet : En fallstudie gjord på Karolinska Universitetssjukhusets division för Servicetjänster och Logistik. Studien berör det förbättringsarbete som är aktuellt samt hur detta förhåller sig till innovation och kreativitet.
BakgrundAvdelningen för Servicetjänster och logistik inom Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset genomgår sedan 2007 ett omvälvande förbättringsarbete med helt nya arbetssätt som baseras på ständiga förbättringar och flödesprocesser. Innovation är något för företag i dagens samhälle att förhålla sig till som en metod för att kunna vara fortsatt konkurrenskraftig. Inom modern kvalitets- och verksamhetsutveckling återfinns det otaliga metoder för att arbeta innovativt och kreativt. Vikten ligger inte vid att sammanföra dessa utan istället påvisa vikten av kreativitet och innovation.ProblemformuleringDe förbättringsmetoder som avdelningen för Servicetjänster och logistik använder sig av kan innebära att det saknas utrymme för problemlösning och därmed outnyttjad kreativitet. Kunskapen och förståelsen kring kreativitet kan därför skapa förutsättningar till att kunna leda innovationsprocessen i rätt riktning, vilket vi vill försöka implementera på Varutransporten på Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset i Solna.SyfteSyftet med studien är att tillämpa våra kunskaper i innovationsteknik genom att ge förslag till hur Varutransporten kan få in mer kreativitet i sitt flödesarbete.MetodStudiens utförande sker genom två processer, en forskningsprocess och en innovationsprocess, parallellt med varandra.

Västra Götalands kommunala kriskommunikation. Ett intersektionellt perspektiv på krisberedskap
This thesis examines the municipalities of Västra Götaland and the way they are prepared for crisis communication towards people with a foreign background. Over the past years there have been several studies that have examined the issue of crisis communications towards minorities but these are often focused on the target group. In this study, I focus on the authorities' actions. The theoretical approach is primarily an intersectional one and in this way the thesis is centred on the creation of different categories, the relationship between these categories and the possibilities working with these at the municipalities.On behalf of Region Västra Götaland, this investigation began with a survey that went out to the communications officers in charge of the crisis communication in each municipality. The ambition was to clarify the preparedness of each one and show how they relate to one another.

Discussions started on how to handle liquidity problems crises in credit institutions and investment with the financial in 2008 as a research background. This led to the establishment of a new legislation regarding the current managing of liquidity risks which involves major changes in organizations. The changes will address the problems on how a successful implementation work could be completed and what is required of the organizations. Good communication is essential in order to have a successful changing process when everything an organization undergoes requires clear and ongoing communication.The purpose of this paper was to examine if Organization X application communications to the same extent as a deployment model shows. Organization X was the company we chose to investigate as they are one of many banks that are facing the upcoming change.Communication Concepts such as understanding, dialogue, discussion, open mindness, transparency and participation, have been key words during our work.
Ekonomistyrning för balanserad flexibilitet och förutsägbarhet: en fältstudie av innovationsprocessen i ett kostnadsledande företag
Problematisering: Ekonomistyrning i kostnadsledande företag etablerar stabila förhållanden och eliminerar variation för att kontrollera kostnader, vilket enligt traditionell forskning ses som innovationshämmande. Samtidigt tycks företag i ökad utsträckning arbeta med kombinerade affärsstrategiska fokus, då viss innovation har visat sig nödvändig för att upprätthålla konkurrenskraft. Detta problematiserar tidigare forskning inom ekonomistyrning som behandlar affärsstrategi som ett val mellan antingen kostnadsledarskap eller differentiering.Syfte: Genom att utvärdera om kostnadsledarskap och differentiering kan kombineras för att skapa konkurrenskraft är syftet med denna studie att utveckla en fördjupad förståelse för hur en lågprispositionerad organisation kombinerar och använder styrmedel för att stödja innovation genom produktutvecklingsprocessen.Metod: Studien utvecklar befintliga teoretiska ramverk genom ett kvalitativt induktivt tillvägagångssätt. En inledande litteraturstudie resulterade i fem teoretiska förväntningar som möjliggjorde en analys av utförd fältstudie. Genom att intervjua fem respondenter från olika funktioner och hierarkiska nivåer i en kostnadsledande organisation som samtidigt utmärks av innovativ differentiering, kunde de fem teoretiska förväntningarna diskuteras samt utvecklas.

The aim of this study is to investigate which communication strategies and channels the mu- nicipal company Falu Energi & Vatten should use in order to become more efficient in com- municating with citizens between 18 to 29 years old. The company is owned by the munici- pality of Falun and manages community services in electricity, district heating, fresh water, sewerage, metropolitan area network and waste disposal. The following theories have been used in the study: convergence culture, digital natives, information overload, communication strategies and uses & gratifications theory. The methods used in the study are 4 focus group interviews and one informant interview. The members of the focus groups where within the age range 18-29 years and lived in the city of Falun.

Introduction Malignant lymphoma is the most common haematological blood cancer diagnosis. In spring 2013 a questionnaire was handed out to patients with various haematological malignancies. The results showed that the patients requested more verbal and written information about their disease and treatment. Providing information about chemotherapy and how it affects the patient's quality of life is part of the nursing care. Communication between nurse and patient is very important to share experiences and knowledge with each other Aim The aim is to describe the information and communication patients with malignant lymphoma demand, based on their own experience, in meeting with the nurse before and during curative chemotherapy treatment at a haematology outpatient clinic.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate in what way Swedish universities regulates its internal and external communication by the use of policy documents. The purpose has led to three research questions: what scope of communication is given to the documents user, if the document is challenging or redefining the current means of power, and how questions regarding trademark is taken into consideration. In order to achieve the purpose a discourse analysis is used as both underlining theory and comprehensive method. The underlining theory is based around social constructionism, structuralism, poststructuralism and critical discourse analysis. The analysis have taken emphasis from Norman Faircloughs three-dimensional model in which the documents have been studied on three separate levels.

The result of our actions can easily spread and affect people on the other side of the world within seconds.Meanwhile, Third World countries are developing into stable economies and Western European corporations are expanding like never before and setting up their organizations in these new markets.This of course is not unproblematic, it creates new challenges for international organizations especially when it comes to communication. An example of that same problematic communication presented itself for Arla Foods in what came to be called the Cartoon Crisis.In late September of 2005 a number of cartoons depicting the holy prophet Muhammed were published in a Danish newspaper. This event sparked scores of protest ranging from Morocco to the Philippines.
