Kommunikationshjälpmedel Sound and Display Communicator
During the last year in the Innovation Engineering Program, at Halmstad University, a degree project was performed that was carried out during Fall semester in 2006 and Spring semester 2007. The project was performed by two students in corporation with LIC Audio AB, a company in Stockholm. The degree project was meant to result in a communication aid for people with a cognitive handicap. The project focused on people suffering from dementia because of the expressed need within this group. This aid should first and foremost help in a conversation between a person with dementia and another person, like a relative or nursing home staff.
Innovationsprocesser i SME-företag : Från idé till kommersialisering
Objective: For a long-term and viable economic development to take place in a country it needs to promote creativity and innovation in enterprises. The study applies the process model to study the process of innovation in innovative companies in Sweden. The study also applies the technology commercialization model to indicate the ability of companies to commercialize the technology to the market.Main purpose: The purpose of this work is to study how companies in Sweden proceed with an idea generation and if they manage to commercialize these ideas.Method: This study used a qualitative approach. Multiple case studies & interviews.Conclusion: The innovative ideas in innovative SME:s in Sweden is emerged from randomly events and from systematic developments. Consumer chock is the trigger who draws focus on the idea.

Informations- och Kommunikationsteknologins betydelse för affärsmodeller i förlagsbranschen
Syfte: Syftet med vår undersökning är att bidra med en bredare förståelse för komplexiteten som ICT kan ge upphov till i framtagandet av nya affärsmodeller. Genom en bredare förståelse vill vi bidra till att förbättra de förutsättningar som ICT kan möjliggöra till för mindre svenska bokförlag på en digitaliserad marknad. Metod: Vi har använt oss av primärdata i form av kvalitativa intervjuer, samt sekundärdata bestående av relevant statistik gällande priskänslighet och benägenheten att vilja läsa e-böcker. För att nå en tillförlitlig slutsats har vi valt att lyfta fram teori som berör affärsmodeller och förändringen av dessa. Slutsats: ICT har viss betydelse hos mindre svenska förlag i arbetet med att utveckla nya affärsmodeller.

Abstract: When playing in teams, communication is important, not just communication with words but also non-verbal communication such as gestures and body languish. The purpose with this study is to see how there is a co-op among communicating players , between leaders and players and to examine what meaning communication and culture got in a youth team. The ambition with this study was to increase our knowledge about communication and communicationculture in the youth floorball team. This study is qualitative and was inspired by an ethnographical method so we got the information from observations of a youth floorball team, totally we made four observations. The result were analyzed and categorized from our observation papers.
Internkommunikation, dess funktion och betydelse för projektmedlemmars motivation.
Previous research has shown that internal communication can be linked with how motivated a project team is, but research that shows examples of how this works is missing. This paper therefore aims to study how two different IT projects are working with internal communication. By analyzing its strengths and weaknesses, we wanted to study how these could be linked to the project team's motivation. In doing so, we wanted to be able to give examples of how projects could work with internal communication to motivate their project teams. Essay questions of the study are:? How does the internal communication occur in the projects?? Which strengths and weaknesses are to be found in the internal communication?? How does the internal communication influence the project members' motivation? To fulfill the purpose of the study it was needed informants interviews with the project manager for each project to access the facts, and respondent interviews with the project members from each project for accessing opinions.The results from the interviews show that both projects have effective communication, even if it looked different, and doesn't quite agree with what previous research recommends.

The study aimed to evaluate picture communication during clinical as-sessment and intervention procedures in paediatric care. As part of the project KomHIT (Augmentative communication in paediatric health care settings) care professionals at different care units were provided with education and designed pictorial supports. These consisted of appointment letters with pictorial support, visual schedules and communication boards with both general and specific vocabulary. Care professionals and parents to children with and without communication disabilities participated. Survey data from care professionals and parents at five care units was supplemented with qualitative data from an interview with a multiprofessional group at one of the care units.

My essay begins with a story in which I portray different communicative situations at the preschool unit Myran. The children in my story are at an early stage of development and they all suffer from multiple disabilities which inhibit their ways of communicating. Through my story, I describe how I perceive different communication dilemmas in my work place. A difficulty I cover in my essay is how the educator knows if he or she has interpreted a child correctly when it does not have a verbal communication and therefore is completely dependent on the educators? interpretations of its communication efforts.

A qualitative study of superiors and co-workers view on the internal communication.Number of pages: 39 (42 including enclosures)Author: Ia AppelbergTutor: Else NygrenCourse: Media and Communication Studies CPeriod: Autumn term 2010University: Division of Media and Communication, Department of Information Science, Uppsala UniversityPurpose: Superiors and co-workers view on the internal communication is studied with the purpose to identify whether their opinions correspond with one another, and what differences and similarities there might be.Method: This study is based on qualitative interviews with superiors and co-workers, and complements with the use of observations.Main results: The results indicate that superiors and co-workers agree on several aspects of the communication, such as the fact that the organizational communication is disorderly and lack clear rules and guidelines. Superiors believe that the organization has a corresponding view on the internal communication, while co-workers are convinced this is not the case. This despite the fact that the results in the end show that both groups overall have very similar opinions on several of the elements in question. Another mutual opinion is that both groups wish to receive more information about current events and such.
Tvärvetenskap på EHL - Ett måste för fortsatt innovation.
Vårt syfte med denna uppsats är att undersöka och skapa en större förståelse för hur tvärvetenskaplig forskning tillämpas på Ekonomihögskolan i Lund för att skapa innovation. Vårt mål är att tillämpa befintlig teori på insamlad empiri för att tillsammans med vår uppfattning få insikt i hur en kunskapsintensiv organisation i universitetsmiljö följer de teoretiska referenser som finns till en sådan organisation. Genom en deskriptiv ansats undersöker vi empirin genom ett induktivt förfaringssätt. Vi använder en kvalitativ metod som bygger på intervjuer med personer i ledningspositioner på Ekonomihögskolan i Lund. I fallstudien används teorier kopplade till kunskapsintensiva företag och styrning av dessa.

Innovation på de sju haven : En studie av SMF vilka etableras i komplexa globala nätverk genom specialiserade resurser
Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera hur små- och medelstora företag (SMF) genom resurser kan etableras och utvecklas inom globala affärsnätverk. Detta för att öka förståelsen teoretisk, samt att förklara den empiriska situation vilken uppsatsen bygger på. Där innovativa svenska SMF under senare år skapat nya möjligheter på en global offshoremarknad genom innovation. En marknad där de är små aktörer gentemot sin omgivning, men ändå tillåts inneha en stark position. Vidare har uppsatsen har en kvalitativ ansats och fallstudie har tillämpats.
Den professionella kommunikatören : En undersökning av svenska kommunikations-ansvarigas syn på sitt arbete jämfört med de formuleringar som anges i Stockholm Accords
The purpose of this study is to investigate the Swedish Public Relations and Communication profession from the Stockholm Accords point of view. The Stockholm Accords are an attempt to reflect Public Relations and Communication Management practice as it stands today and to provide a global common ground for the practitioners.The method used for this study is a quantitative research method conducted by a web survey answered by more than 400 Swedish communication managers. The questions posed were examining these managers view of their profession compared to the Stockholm Accords.The research shows that the Swedish way of implementing communication in the organization broadly corresponds to the Stockholm Accords when it comes to internal and external communication. However, there are some areas where Swedish communication practice diverges from Stockholm Accords. The issues which link governance, management and sustainability to communication have a much wider distribution of responses.
Främjande och hämmande faktorer för innovationsspridning inom sjukgymnastik: En litteraturöversikt
Behovet och förekomsten av innovation och forskning inom sjukgymnastik ökar, däremot finns brister i innovationsprocessen som gör att de senaste innovationerna inte används i praktiken. Anledningen till detta kan vara många och finnas på olika nivåer i vårdprocessen. Innovationens och yrkesutövarens egenskaper, patienten, socialt och organisatoriskt och ekonomisk och politisk bakgrund kan vara områden som påverkar innovationsspridningen Syftet med studien var att undersöka förutsättningarna för innovationsspridning inom sjukgymnastikens arbetsfält. Rapporten var en systematisk litteratursammanställning. Databaserna som användes för sökningen var AMED, PubMED och ProQuest.
Skillnader i kommunikationsstil mellan individualistiska och kollektivistiska kulturer
The purpose of this study was to investigate if preferences for high- and low context communication differed significantly between individuals from individualistic and collectivistic cultures, living in a multicultural environment. A quantitative survey was used as method and the survey was answered by 150 students at Jönköping University and Uppsala University. Two self-assessment scales, obtained from previous studies were used to measure the degree of the two cultural dimensions and communication styles. Two multiple regression analyzes were performed to investigate the connection between collectivist cultures preference for high context communication and individualistic cultures preference for low context communication, that has been found in previous studies. Two ANOVAs were also performed to investigate differences in communication style depending on sex and length of stay in Sweden.
