The effects of the deregulation of the electricity market 1996 in Sweden on short-term hydropower regulation are unknown. This report investigates patterns in subdaily regulation in the Ångerman River Basin during the period 1993-2011. Differences in subdaily flows and zero flow events between the periods 1993-1995 and 1996-2011 were studied by analyzing hourly data from 8 regulated and 8 unregulated locations with four subdaily flow variation indices. No correlations between the market deregulation and the regulation intensity in the Ångerman River basin were detected. The number of days natural ranges of variability were exceeded and the magnitude of subdaily variation were significantly higher at regulated locations.

The energy in laundry rooms, in form heated air, can be utilized with a heat exchanger. A concept and an early prototype of the heat exchanger have already been developed to show that the theory works. This report describes the continued development and construction of the product.A field study was made in order to investigate the environmental usage and establish the product design. The most common washing machine was used as a calculation model, and calculations were also made to estimate the amount of energy in the air. A previous analysis of the existing prototype is also presented in this report, to show the products potential capacity.

This report is a result of a degree thesis at Luleå University of Technology together with Stram AB in Växjö. The project aimed to develop a size reducible bed, that gets small when folded and has a new slim design. The development of the new folding bed had the purpose to give Stram AB new ideas of how guest beds can look like and be used in the future. Information about Stram´s products and also information of other similar products on the market was gathered. A visit at a store, internet and interviews gave grater insight of the market, and of customer needs.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka hur en enskild arbetsgivares platsannonser förändrats under de senaste 25 åren, språkligt och innehållsmässigt. I min studie ingår 53 platsannonser från myndigheten Svenska institutet (SI). Det är samtliga utlysningar från 1986, 1996, 2006 och 2011. Genom att göra textanalyser studerar jag dels platsannonsernas språkinterna egenskaper och förändringar, dels vilka externa samhälleliga faktorer som påverkat innehåll och utformning.En platsannons består av flera komponenter. Min undersökning utgår från den indelning av en platsannons i maximalt åtta komponenter som språkforskaren Karin Helgesson redovisar i sin avhandling från 2011.

A purchase decision can be seen as a multifaceted context that raises many unanswered questions. Understanding the consumer's evaluation of alternatives is complex and should be studied at a deeper rather than wider scale. There is a problem for retailers to understand how the consumer manages a purchase decision in a retail setting with durables goods that generates a higher effort. The aim is to describe the decision rules used by the consumer and how they are expressed in this context. A better understanding of which ones they use and how they are conveyed will help retailers to create effective marketing solutions that generate positive outcomes as increased profitability and customer satisfaction.

This report presents an independent thesis corresponding 15hp and was carried out on Högskolan in Halmstad during the spring of 2014. The thesis is the final course which ends a three-year mechanical engineering program with focus on technical design.The thesis started in an operation which electricians are exposed to every day. The operation in question is cable laying or wiring. The tool they use is called a tension spring and is a long and stiff wire, usually made out of nylon or fiberglass. The tension spring is fed through pipes in the walls and brings the desired cables with it on the way back.

The purpose with this final assignment is to find out how the old and the new regulations about Goodwill affect the Swedish companies, how their results and value of Goodwill changed since the regulation from IFRS took place. We will attempt to find out if the companies are better of with a yearly write-off or an impairment test every year to see if a write-down is necessary..

Under vår verksamhetsförlagda utbildning på Grundlärarprogrammet har vi kunnat urskilja skillnader i vilket stöd eleverna får med läxarbete i hemmet. Utifrån dessa iakttagelser har vi valt att undersöka hur ofta eleverna uppskattar att deras föräldrar ser till att de avsätter tid för att göra sina läxor och hur det påverkar elevernas prestationer. Mycket av den tidigare forskningen tyder på att läxstöttning är väsentligt för hur eleverna presterar i skolan och att det finns stora könsskillnader i hur ofta eleverna får stöttning och också i hur eleverna presterar i skolan. Syftet med studien är att undersöka vilken betydelse föräldrars engagemang och tid till läxstöttning har för elevernas prestationer och huruvida det existerar könsskillnader gällande stöttning i hemmet. Vi har frågat oss hur ofta eleverna och föräldrarna skattar att föräldrarna ser till att eleverna avsätter tid för att göra sina hemläxor.

Den nationella värdegrunden handlar om att omsorgen ska utföras med fokus på den äldre personens välbefinnande och möjlighet till ett värdigt liv. Ledord i NPM:s omfattande reformer är bättre effektivitet, konkurrens, samt bättre målstyrning och uppföljning. Metoder som förespråkas för att nå dessa idealtillstånd är bland annat konkurrensutsättning, privatisering, målstyrning och decentralisering.

Background: Students, at a secondary upper school, attending a practical programme have a lower physical capacity than students from theoretical programs. Our physical self-esteem has a great significance for our motivation in being physically active and thereby also for our health. The purpose: of this study is to find out if there is a difference between perceived physical self-esteem and objectively measured physical activity between students attending a practical programme and a theoretical programme. Method: Four classes, in a medium-sized town in the southeast of Sweden, participated in the study, two classes from practical programmes and two classes from theoretical programmes. All the students were in their final year at the upper secondary school, when they were part of the study during the autumn of 2011.

SAAB Aerotech division FGR in Arboga builds and develops equipment and components used in both military and civilian applications. To build a test system for a specific project that SAAB is responsible for requires a simple signal generator that can provide a pulse modulated signal. The need to buy a new advanced signal generator for example from Agilent is not as profitable as the instrument is expensive and contains features that SAAB does not require in their applications and test systems. That was the reason why SAAB offers two students a thesis where the goal is to construct a signal generator in accordance with what SAAB requests.This thesis contains several different phases. The first step was a meeting with our supervisor Mats Bergman and by reading the data sheets for components to be used in the project, with these information and specifications that we have received from SAAB we started to construct the signal generator.What we did during the construction work was to simulate and draw a schematic to be able to design the circuit board.

The purpose also includes an investigation about if an investor will receives a higher return on high-risk fund than on mutual-index fund in a 10 years period.Method: A quantitative method has been use in this study, where the information has been received from Morningstar. Microsoft Excel has been used to process the collected data in order to calculate the expected return and the risk measures. The result is presented in graphs and tables on the empirical capital, in order to analyse and compare it with the theories and the selected macro- variables to see if there will be any correlation. Conclusion: This research shows that there is no possibility that the macro-variable factors can benefit an investment on high-risk fund or on mutual-index fund in the short run.
