Based on the concept of rhetorical situation, the purpose of this study is to compare and describe the three Socialist leader's May Day speech from the years 1954, 1978 and 2011. The results of the analysis showed that there is a big difference in how the leaders chooses to appeal to the rhetorical audience. Erlander, 1954, never appealed directly to his audience which Palme, 1978, did both initially as repeatedly throughout his speech. Juholt, 2011, has a personal and frequent appeal which is repeated throughout his speech, which is interpreted as a sign of the intimization of the public language. It proved difficult to discuss the Socialist rhetoric as one unified form.

Swedish libraries are currently discussing andimplementing the classification system Dewey (DDC).Most libraries in Sweden have used the Swedishclassification system SAB until recently. In 2008 TheRoyal Library of Sweden (KB) decided to switch fromSAB to DDC. The aim of this research is to examine the Göteborg International Film Festival Fund (GIFFF, 1998?2011) as a part of the festival's overall operations, to provide answers to questions about if/how the Fund can be understood as an expression of the festival's fundamental values, and how the Fund can be recognized within the festival's strategic development. The GIFFF is also discussed in relation to contemporary academic studies that interpret Western film funds for the developing countries ? such as Hubert Bals Fund and Fond Sud Cinéma ? as an expression of Eurocentrism.The investigation is based on the contemporary film festival research, previous academic studies on Göteborg International Film Festival, the festival?s printed material ? such as programs and press releases ? as well as interviews with the former festival director Gunnar Bergdahl, who initiated the Fund, and festival editor Ulf Sigvardson, who ran the Fund during its final years of existence.The conclusions are: The Fund's objectives ? such as to support filmmakers and film schools in the developing countries, and also to screen their films at the festival ? can be seen as a broader interpretation of the vision that was determined by the festival founders, that the festival should be a platform for independent filmmaking and also help screen the films that otherwise would not reach the Swedish audience. Also, the Fund was a significant part of the festival's expansion strategies during the 1990s.

I uppsatsen Lokala nyheter: till vilket pris som helst? undersöker vi hur stor del av det redaktionella materialet i tre lokala tidningar som är textreklam samt hur det har förändrats mellan 1996 och 2011. För att ta reda på det har vi genomfört en kvantitativ innehållsanalys. Tidningarna som är med i studien är Bohusläningen, Södermanlands Nyheter och Östersunds-Posten. Vi har tittat på vecka 40 år 1996 och 2011 och jämfört resultaten med varandra.

There has been an increasing interest for ranking of Swedish health care and a lot of emphasis has been placed on the creation of indicators in order to rank hospital units. However, essays on to what extent the choice of statistical method affects the final result of the ranking of health care units have not been given the same attention. For this particular reason, the main objective of this essay has been to investigate whether the choice of statistical model has a significant impact or not on the final result, by using five different, more or less common, statistical approaches: bar charts (with and without confidence intervals), control charts, logistic regression, multi-level analysis using shrunken residuals. The analyzed material in the essay comprises 24119 patients that all have been prescribed some form of the lipid-reducing medicine statin. According to directives given by Region Skåne, doctors are encouraged to prescribe a particular type of statin medicine, namely Simvastatin, which has been proved to be equally effective, but significantly cheaper than other statin medicines.

Det händer mycket i den svenska skolan just nu. Sommaren 2011 börjar en ny läroplan gälla med allt vad det innebär av förändringar. Men vad har egentligen förändrats sedan den förra läroplanen från 1994? I världen runtomkring oss sker saker som mer och mer påverkar oss här hemma i Sverige. Vi har under våren kunnat följamedierapporteringen om uppror för demokrati i Nordafrika och Mellanöstern och om kärnkraftskatastrofen i Japan.

I denna uppsats har innehållet i den första läroplanen för träningsskolan från 1973 och den senaste läroplanen för träningsskolan från 2011 analyserats och jämförts. Analysen har genomförts med hjälp av diskursanalys utifrån syftet att undersöka hur syftet/målet med träningsskolan har förändrats från 1970-tal till 2010-tal.   Utifrån analysen av de båda läroplanerna har jag identifierat det jag kallar integreringsdiskursen. Den gemensamma integreringsdiskursen för syftet/målet med utbildningen är att eleven ska var en integrerad aktiv del i samhället. Eleverna ska bli så självständig och trygga som möjligt för att känna en frihet i sin tillvaro. Den gemensamma integreringsdiskursen för syftet/målet med utbildningen som har identifieras i min undersökning är möjligen inte så förvånande då en relativt oförändrad handikapspolitik har bedrivits under den tid som passerat mellan läroplanerna.

The purpose of this essay has been to study the comprehensibility and the plainness of chapter 1 and 2 in ?Läroplan, examensmål och gymnasiegemensamma ämnen för gymnasieskola 2011? that is one of the governing documents of Swedish upper secondary school. The Swedish government approved a national language policy in 2005 which involved an aim that the official Swedish language would be refined, easy and comprehensible. Plain language has since the eighties had a prominent place in Swedish research and science and is now a thought-out principle at almost every public authority. This essay has performed a linguistic text analysis, a plain language analysis, a plain language test and a critical discourse analysis on the two chapters from ?Läroplan, examensmål och gymnasiegemensamma ämnen för gymnasieskola 2011? that is common for all upper secondary school programs.

Studiens syfte är att ta reda på vilket förhållningssätt naturkunskapslärare på gymnasiet har till den nya läroplanen, Gymnasieskola 2011 (GY11), och vilka faktorer som styr deras planering och utförande av undervisning. Med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra lärare undersöktes lärarnas åsikter och för att analysera lärarnas teori i praktiken genomfördes en observation per lärare. Resultatet visar att lärarna är positiva till den nya läroplanen men att det finns en tolkningsproblematik kring bedömning. Samtliga lärare angav att läroplanen har ett inflytande i deras arbete men att andra faktorer, till exempel elevgruppens storlek, spelar en stor roll. Predicting corporate failure is an increasingly important topic in the world of economics today. This paper, with the help of the credit ranking company Syna AB, aims to investigate a few different statistic strategies to do just that. This task is accomplished by using a data material of 250 000 Swedish companies divided into two subsamples. The first sample is used to develop the model and the second as a validation sample. The model developing sample holds 160 000 companies divided into five different subgroups based on size and age.
