Advantages in easier usage, increased availability and more competition have made the banks more cost effective at the same time as the customer is being offered better prices. Even though the advantages seem to weigh over the disadvantages there are still those who thinks that things where ?better in the past?.
Shared Service Center : En fallstudie i arbetsfördelningen mellan redovisare och controllers
Bakgrund: En ÄtgÀrd för att effektivisera stödfunktioner i organisationer Àr att etableraoch anvÀnda sig av sÄ kallade SSC. Det innebÀr att spridda stödfunktionerna flyttas tillett separat och ansvarigt bolag inom koncernen. DÀr redovisarna arbetar pÄ SSC medancontrollers arbetar ute i organisationen. Det Àr vanligt förekommande attarbetsfördelningen aldrig nÄr fullt ut mellan redovisarna och controllers, vilket harpÄvisats pÄ det studerade företaget.Syfte: Det övergripande syftet för studien Àr att öka kunskapen om hurarbetsförhÄllandet kan organiseras mellan redovisare och controllers nÀr yrkesrollernautvecklas och förÀndras i en global organisation.Metod: Studien innefattar en fallstudie av en globalorganisation inom detaljhandel.Datainsamling för studien har skett genom semi-strukturerade intervjuer ochföretagsdokumentation.Slutsatser: I studien har det pÄvisats att bolagsansvarig (redovisaren) har en specialistochkonsulteranderoll, som hanterar redovisning och utför viss transaktionshantering.Business navigators (controllers) har en affÀrsparterroll och ?navigerar? verksamheter.En rad problemomrÄden samt ÄtgÀrder för arbetsfördelningen har identifierats och Àrpresenterade i tabell 14.

To be able to protect themselves from credit risk, the banks must constantly check the performance of the companies they have lent money to. There are many mathematical models for predicting financial distress. These models use accounting-based ratios, which often are historical and not representative for the present situation. This study describes how the banks do in practice to find signals of insolvency in time and the variables they are observing for doing that.In addition to financial reports which the company sends in to the bank at least once a year, also the relationship between them and information from different information agencies are of great importance to track signals of insolvency. Poor profitability is the primary cause of insolvency.

This Bachelor ?s thesis is about the conversations and meetings that take place in the mobile library. The research questions will try to answer: What do the staff talk about with each other, what conversations do the staff engage in with their users and what do the users talk about amongst themselves? The thesis main question is trying to answer of what is characteristic for the mobile library ?s conversations and meetings. Is the mobile library as a meetingplace any different in comparison with the city library? Focus lies on the eveningtours of the mobile library and excludes those tours that service schools and learning-centers.

Purpose: The aim of the essay is to examine how to work on strategy implementation in a municipal real estate company from a management perspective in order to achieve overall goals. Method: The study?s methodology is a case study based on qualitative telephone interviews that were conducted with representatives in managerial positions from various levels of the company.

Talböcker och nedladdning: En studie om talboksanvÀndares anvÀndning av och uppfattning om nedladdning av talböcker
The aim of this qualitative study is to examine how users of talking books perceive the possibility of downloading talking books from home without visiting the library and how this affects them. Three research questions were formulated:How do talking book users reflect on their library usage?Have the subject's' library usage changed since introduction to the download service?How have users experienced the service?To answer these questions, five semi structured interviews were conducted with five different users of talking books in Sweden. All subjects were currently using download services which they had gained access to from their local public libraries. In analyzing the interviews, a theory established by Henrik Jochumsen and Casper Hvenegaard Rasmussen in GĂžr biblioteket en forskel (2000) was used.
En holistisk investeringsbank - En fallstudie av fördelarna med att vara involverad i hela M&A-processen
Studies have shown that mergers and acquisitions often fail and that a reason to this might be that investment banks do not take any responsibility for the post merger integration. Despite this there have been no studies of the potential benefits of an investment bank taking a holistic approach to the M&A-process and including post merger integration in its service. This study identifies a couple of investment banks that does this and calls them holistic investment banks. In M&A-theory a successful process is often described according to so called success factors that need to be fulfilled in order to achieve a successful result of the merger or acquisition. The business model and work approach of one holistic investment bank is analyzed in this case study on the base of seven success factors from established theories.
TillgÀnglighet och verksamhet för dyslektiker pÄ folkbibliotek i Södermanland
The aim of this thesis was to investigate the accessibility and activities for dyslectic adults in public libraries in the Swedish county of Södermanland. The questions that were to be answered were four; to what extent do the libraries provide book material and special computer software? To what extent do activities occur? Does the library staff have awareness and knowledge of dyslexia and of activities for dyslectics? What are the obstacles for good service for dyslectic library users? Two methods were used. As a first step, a questionnaire was sent to thirty public libraries. The questionnaire elicited a low level of response, but gave in spite of this an overview of the situation for dyslectics in the libraries of the county.

The thesis has been written as a part of the Bachelor degree in Industrial engineering and management at the School of Engineering in Jönköping. The work is focused on the part of Husqvarna AB?s supply chain that is associated with the lorry transports to Italy. Husqvarna AB has approximately ten Italian customers, whose delivery patterns have been studied from January 2007 to July 2008. Some of the customers have a low delivery frequency and small amounts of goods that they therefore have not been fully analyzed in this report.

During the past decade, consumer health information-centers have been developed at the hospital libraries in Sweden in order to meet the increasing demand from patients and their relatives concerning consumer health information. In 1993, the hospital libraries in Falun, VĂ€stervik and Karlstad launched a consumer health information database called PION. The aim of this Master's thesis is two-fold. My first aim is to describe and discuss the principles of user-oriented evaluation. In my attempt to convey the theoretical discussion into the everyday life of librarianship, my second and most important aim is to conduct a user-oriented evaluation of the database PION.

Rare book collections may to some extent be seen as a part of this service. Stockholm and Uppsala University Libraries are the focus in this thesis. They participate because of their difference regarding their rare book collections.

Utveckling av mÀtvariabler för arbetsmotivation i ett förÀnderligt arbetsliv
FörÀndringar i arbetslivet, som pÄverkar individers drivkrafter kring arbetsmotivation, gör det relevant att undersöka hur mÀtvariabler kan anpassas till ett modernt arbetsliv. Med utgÄngspunkt i Herzbergs tvÄfaktorteori, var syftet att kvantitativt pröva variablerna karriÀrsutveckling och kvalitet i produkt eller service, kopplat till arbetsmotivation. Studiens enkÀt reducerades till 10 items efter utförd faktoranalys, och ytterligare analyser fokuserade pÄ de högsta laddningarna. För karriÀrsdimensionen (alpha 0,90) var det karriÀr som viktig del i yrkesval, möjligheter till karriÀrsutveckling och viljan att stanna i organisationer med möjlighet till avancemang, vilket antyder att den moderne arbetstagaren vÀljer yrke eller arbetsplats efter karriÀrsförutsÀttningar. Kvalitet i prestationer som bidrag till kvalitet i organisationens resultat och strÀvan efter kvalitetsförbÀttring av organisationens produkt eller service var mest framtrÀdande i kvalitetsdimensionen (alpha 0,55).
