Studien är gjord efter samtal med och efterfrågan från Lunds polis. Denna studie syftar till att undersöka vilken syn ungdomarna i Lund har på polisen och dess arbete. Undersökningens syfte är att få kunskap om ungdomars syn på polisen, mäta ungdomarnas förtroende för polisen samt se om könet har någon betydelse för respondenternas åsikter. Studien syfte är också att ta reda på om ungdomars möte med polisen ger en annan syn. Resultatet på undersökningen är att respondenterna är positiva eller inte har någon åsikt om polisen i Lund.

The main purpose of this Master's thesis is to investigate the new librarians' experiences and skills in the context of their present work situation and the ongoing debate about the librarian's professional identity and status. Further, the authors wanted to find out whether the new librarians' experiences and knowledge developed throughout their education correspond to the requirements of the employers. Finally, they try to assess theimpact of the "academization" of the library schools on the status of the profession. The data consist of an opinion poll. The investigation is based on questionnaires distributed as a web survey.

The employment structure consists of different sectors, whose share of the total employment rate is all part of an economic structural conversion according to this thesis applied theoretical approach. A structural conversion, which consist of recurring crises, such as the financial crises in the early 1990s. This crisis and its effect on the Swedish economy is well-documented, while the shortage regarding the effect on a smaller scale, in a local and regional context, provides this thesis purpose. More specifically, a comparison between the two neighbouring towns of Malm? and Lund, will constitute the local contexts in this research.

At the moment, democracy enhancing projects can be seen everywhere on the municipal level. The purpose of this thesis is to explain how the city of Lund takes on this challenge, why they have chosen to carry out citizen councils and if these are a good way to intensify democracy and open communication channels between citizens, the administration and the elected officials.The theoretical framework consists of seven arguments for gaining citizen influence on policy, and as a counterweight three critical arguments that opponents of participatory democracy often use are added.After a survey over both the Swedish national trends in municipal renewal and the last years work in Lund, the analysis goes on showing that most of the arguments point to the disadvantage of the citizen councils. Even though legitimacy possibly is enhanced by the project, there are probably better ways to open up for more communication and intensify democracy in the local community..

The goals of this essay are to identify rituals and ritual behavior at the department of archaeology and ancient history at Lund University. To do this a series of empirical examinations was conducted. Observations, interviews and polls revealed that some ritual behavior is in fact present. Two types of rituals were identified; the interaction ritual, as presented by Erving Goffman in the book Interaction Ritual, Essays on Face-to-Face Behavior, in 1967. The second type of ritual is a ?problem solving? ritual, such as meetings.

Genom intervjuer av åtta olika pedagoger i Kiruna och Lund, samt analys av styrdokument och 4 historieläroböcker, försöker vi här ge en bild av hur nationella minoriteter och deras kulturella arv behandlas i historieundervisningen i årskurs 3 till 9. Vi har i vår undersökning använt oss av en blandat kvalitativ och kvantitativ metod. Våra data har analyserats ur följande perspektiv; etnicitet, interkultur, sociokultur och intersektionalitet. Undersökningen har visat på en brist i läroböckernas innehåll när det kommer till nationella minoriteter och även en brist i skolans undervisning inom samma ämne..

This paper is the result of an osteological study of the skeletal remains uncovered during an archaeological excavation of the medieval cemetery in Norra Nöbbelöv. The purpose of the study is to compare the material from the rural site (Norra Nöbbelöv) with materials excavated from the old medieval graveyards in the city of Lund. The aim is to try and shedsome light on the question of whether there is any difference in the occurrence and frequency of fractures and osteoarthritis in the materials compared. The first section of the paper consists of a short historical background of Norra Nöbbelöv and Lund, a chapter on ethics, general results of the analysis and the methods used. Thissection was co-authored by Ulla Zagal-Mach and Åsa Strandh.

The point of departure for this essay is the observation that themunicipality of Lund is giving priority to handicap associations overother forms of associations. This act can be regarded as trespassinginto the realm of civil society. In respect of this, two aspects appearto be particularly interesting to explore. The first is to determinewhich perspective of freedom the municipality of Lund holds. Ireconstruct how the liberal and the communitarian state relate to thenegative and the positive freedom.

The aim of this thesis is to compare two time periods in thehistory of the university library in Lund and to see whatsimilarities and differences can be found. The two timeperiods will be 1883-1900 and 1933-1950. The methodsused to achieve this will be comparative method with theactor- and structure model and document analysis. Thesubjects that will be analyzed with these methods will bepersonnel and the facilities. The two questions I will try toanswer in this thesis will be: A) What similarities anddifferences can be found concerning the personnel and thefacilities in the two time periods? B) What is therelationship between the actors and the structureconcerning the personnel and the facilities like in the twoperiods?A brief background of what took place in Sweden, LundUniversity and the university library of Lund itself duringour two periods is provided.

Säsongsvariationer är ett förekommande fenomen på platser runt om i världen och drabbar aktörer, besökare och invånare på en destination. Intresset för detta fenomen uppstod under en tidigare kurs vid Service Managementprogrammet då vi kom i kontakt med säsongsvariationer i Lund. Under sommaren uppfattas staden som folktom, medan den under resterande del av året uppfattas som livfull. Detta gör att hanteringen av säsongvariationer blir ett aktuellt ämne att studera.Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur olika tvärvetenskapliga strategier kan kombineras och användas för att utveckla en destination. Den övergripande frågeställningen är; Vilka strategier kan privata och offentliga aktörer i en stad använda för att hantera säsongsvariationer? Metoden bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer där vi genomfört 6 intervjuer med offentliga och privata aktörer.

This thesis deals with our heritage and the care of old buildings. In order to limit this vast area a specific attention has been brought upon the process of giving buildings a certain level of protection and after decision having it taken away, instead of giving a stronger protection level.Further limitation has been done through the choice of four buildings in Lund, within Lund University campus. These buildings all lost this certain level of protection. The participants in these kinds of cases have a level of power, what argumentation did they use?The methods being used are discourse analysis, phenomenology and the daily methods of the building care field..

Syftet med detta kandidatexamensarbete är att få en bättre förståelse för hur man skapar en skolgård som stimulerar barns motoriska, kognitiva och sociala utveckling. Jag har studerat litteratur om barns lek samt fört egna undersökningar som bestått av observationer och intervjuer på Montessoriskolan i Lund samt besök på referensplatser. Dessa studier har utgjort underlag till ett gestaltningsförslag för skolgården. Jag har kommit fram till att en bra skolgård kännetecknas av en stor innehållsrikedom. En välutformad lekmiljö aktiverar barnens alla sinnen och tillåter kreativ lek på deras egna villkor. Det finns flera aspekter som bidrar till en god lekmiljö: rumsbildningar, naturinslag, variationsrikedom och utmaning.

När man planerar för nya områden idag är ett av de vanligaste ledorden för den framtida stadsutvecklingen att bygga stadsmässigt. Att med funktionsblandning, tät bebyggelse och ett aktivt folkliv skapa en attraktiv stadsmiljö är det som eftersträvas i enlighet med gamla traditionella ideal. Samtidigt råder det en stor skillnad i hur man använder begreppet som vision mot hur det realiseras i planeringen. Hur planerar man för stadsmässighet i en helt ny stadsdel, i detta fall applicerat på Brunnshögområdet i Lund? Vad innebär begreppet stadsmässighet i Brunnshög/Lund Ne´s planeringsunderlag i jämförelse med den vetenskapliga litteraturen? Huvudsyftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka det Vetenskapliga och kunskapsmässiga innehållet i begreppet stadsmässighet samt tillämpningen i fallet Brunnshög/Lund NE.

Hur tar sig människor utan tillgång till bil till externa köpcentrum? Är det meningen att som gående eller cyklist behöva ta sig fram i ett hav av bilar som står parkerade eller kör i cirklar för att hitta den "bästa" parkeringsplatsen? Målet med detta arbete är att undersöka om, och i så fall hur, det planeras för gång- och cykeltrafikanter vid externa köpcentrum. Arbetet vill uppmärksamma att det ofta finns problem i planeringen för gång- och cykeltrafikanter kring dessa platser. Syftet är att bidra med kunskap om hur planering och utformning av gång- och cykelvägar vid externa köpcentrum sker. Frågeställningarna har varit följande: (1)Anpassar planerare utemiljön vid köpcentrum till gång- och cykeltrafikanter? Om det görs, hur görs det då? Om inte, hur bör det göras? (2)Varför ska det planeras för gång- och cykeltrafik generellt och därmed också vid externa köpcentrum? (3)Vad finns det för dokument och riktlinjer som styr planeringen för gång- och cykeltrafik både generellt och kommunalt i Lunds kommun? (4)Hur fungerar det egentligen för personer som går eller cyklar vid exemplet Nova Lund? Hur kan det förbättras? En studie av dokument som styr planeringsprocessen för den fysiska planeringen och därmed gång- och cykeltrafiken har gjorts.
