The purpose of this Master?s Thesis is to examine the information use and information behavior of the scientists at the company ?Forskningsbolaget?. For this purpose an Information Audit was carried out using both interviews with six managers and a questionnaire, which was sent out to the entire population of 213 scientists. After finding out what information the scientists use and how they obtain it the aim was to answer the question of to what extent the company?s Information Centre can meet these needs.

The aim of this study is to examine the information behavior of younger seniors with a special focus on the Internet. Using a qualitative method consisting of a case study, including observations, diaries, questionnaires, and information diaries, we were able to compare the information behavior of the seniors in their use of the Internet, with the information behavior in their everyday life. The result of the study shows that the respondents led very active lives and used many different information sources in everyday life. They did not only seek information, but also assimilated it, often with a purpose to mediate it to other people. The motives behind the information use in everyday life were mainly connected to their life situations.

Målet med detta arbete är att undersöka vad begreppet ekosystemtjänster kan innebära i den urbana utemiljön och hur ett ekosystemtjänstperspektiv kan användas för att beskriva och gestalta grönytor i staden. Bakgrunden är det växande intresset för hållbar stadsplanering och hur landskapsarkitektur kan bidra till detta. Frågeställningarna som har varit utgångspunkt för arbetet är: ? Vad innebär begreppet ekosystemtjänster i mindre, urbana sammanhang? ? Vilken roll skulle ett ekosystemtjänstperspektiv kunna ha vid gestaltning av utemiljöer i mindre skala? Arbetets metoder består av studier av litteratur, studiebesök i Malmö, Lund och Helsingborg samt av ett gestaltningsförslag för en bostadsgård i området Rådhusrätten i Lund. Begreppet ekosystemtjänster fick sitt genomslag med Millennium Ecosystem Assessments rapporter i början av 2000-talet och betyder de tjänster och fördelar som människor får från naturen. Det inkluderar exempelvis odling av mat, rening av vatten och luft, rekreation, hälsa och symboliska värden.

This master thesis investigates the user education. Christine Bruce has presented a theory of information literacy in her research which has resulted in seven different aspects of information literacy. In this study I wanted to investigate what aspects there were and what they looked like in a practical educational situation. The methods used for this study were observation and a questionnaire. I analysed the observations by using Bruces aspects of information literacy to group the observed activities into the different aspects.

Kandidatarbetet förtätningsargument är en jämförande studie mellan Karlskrona, Lund och Helsingborg kommuns översiktsplaner. Där har argumenten som berör förtätning granskats med hjälp av innehållsanalys och komparativ metod. Syftet med kandidatarbetet är att belysa tendenser som finns inom den kommunala planeringsretoriken som handlar om förtätning. Arbetet syftar även till att tydliggöra skillnader och eller likheter mellan kommuners argument för förtätning. I kandidatarbetet granskas vilka kategorier av förtätningsargument som används i kommuners översiktsplaner och hur förhållandet ser ut mellan argumenten för förtätning respektive mot förtätning.

For the manufacturers to be able to grow they have to compete for the existing consumers. The problem is for the manufacturer to protect its consumers and still be able to gain consumers from its competitors. Purpose: Our ambition is to study consumers brand loyalty for daily groceries, with the purpose to understand how loyalty starts, how it can be strengthened, and how it can be broken.

This report explains how different communication tools can be used in a company?s intranet. It gives a short description of the different parts in an intranet and their field of application, and what communication means. It?s only the communication tools that the company uses that we are illuminating in this report.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine the information needs of gay, lesbian and bisexual adolescents? when they are coming out. I also examine what kind of information they seek and where they might find this information. The purpose is also to examine what role the public or school library plays. The study is conducted through qualitative interviews with gay, lesbian and bisexual adolescents?.

The aim of this Masters thesis is, partly, to examine the information needs of lesbians: what discernable information needs they have, how they seek information and which information sources they use. The purpose is also to examine what part fiction plays regarding the information needs mentioned above and how fiction indexing could improve retrieval. The study is conducted through ten qualitative interviews with lesbians as well as through textual analysis. The theoretical framework includes queer theory and theory concerning information needs and uses. The results indicate that lesbians have evident information needs that mostly concern identity.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att fördjupa mig i det allt mer aktuella ämnet bilfria områden, att tillämpa mina kunskaper och bidra till en fördjupad förståelse kring hur landskapsarkitekten kan arbeta med bilfria områden. Ämnet bilfria områden har sin grund i en bilfri utveckling som startades på 70-talet som en motreaktion till massbilismen. Idag finns indikationer om att bilismens utveckling håller på att stanna av, ett fenomen som kallas peak car. Därför är ämnet bilfria områden högst aktuellt i dagsläget. För att klargöra begreppet bilfria områden delas den bilfria utvecklingen upp i fysisk bilfrihet och bilfritt boende.

Mitt intresse för senmodernismens och rekordårens strukturer vaknade till liv när jag gjorde min praktik i Avesta i Södra Dalarna. Med en stadskärna starkt influerad av rekordårens strukturer hade man i Avesta börjat fundera över hur en centrumomdaning skulle gå till. Då arvet efter senmodernismens strukturer återfinns i nästan alla svenska städer blev jag intresserad av att studera hur man hanterat den här typen av stadsomvandlingar på andra platser i landet. Syftet med uppsatsen är att ta reda på hur man som stadsplanerare kan förändra en stadskärna, influerad av senmodernismen, till dagens planerings- och stadsmässighetsideal. I uppsatsens teoridel beskrivs bakgrunden till modernismens arkitektur genom 1900- talets historia. Därefter övergår uppsatsen i en fallstudie där två stycken kvalitativa intervjuer genomförts med två respondenter avseende tre platser.

The aim of this thesis is to examine the flow of information in an administration of the municipality Borås Stad. To achieve the aim the following questions were asked: How accessible is information? How is information used in the organisation? How is information communicated? Totally sixteen qualitative interviews was accomplished with employees at the administration. The results of the interviews show that there is a difference in how much and what sort of information the respondents use. They all seem to prefer information to be communicated face to face if possible or over the phone.

Scientific research shows that humans regain their strength when they are spending time in nature. Ulrich, Kaplan & Kaplan, among others, has shown in their research that nature can reduce stress and decrease the after effects of stress. Lund University Hospital, USiL, is a big working place and has a large number of patients. To be a patient often means that you lose control of your daily life which could cause stress. For the personnel high workload can be a stress factor.

Handledning av lärarstudenter syftar till att låta lära, alltså att den handledde själv genom samtal kan dra slutsatser kring samtalets innehåll och sin lärandeprocess. Handledaren får rollen av medtänkare snarare än som hjälplärare eller modell att ta efter. I föreliggande studie undersöks fotoelicitering som metod för att låta den handledde leda handledningssamtalet. Fotoelicitering innebär att berätta med hjälp av bilder. I studien består bilderna av tre lärarstudenters fotografier, tagna under praktikperioden och i ett fall även under den teoretiska delen av lärarutbildningen.
