I uppsatsen studeras den kommunikativa planeringsteorin utifrån en utgångspunkt om att den inbegriper en inbyggd konflikt i att å ena sidan syfta till att skapa ett mer rättvist och demokratiskt samhälle, samtidigt som flera problemområden identifierats vilka hindrar deltagandeprocesser att uppnå detta mål. Genom att studera en detaljplaneprocess i Biskopsgården i Göteborg där stadsbyggnadskontoret själva valt att engagera en medborgargrupp, syftar uppsatsen till att skapa en djupare förståelse för hur den kommunala planprocessen kan arbeta med frågor om inkludering, konsensus, lokal demokrati och legitimitet. Den för studien aktuella medborgargruppen har fått ett relativt gott genomslag för sina förslag i planprocessen. Uppsatsen menar dock att detta inte främst beror på den detaljplaneprocess som dialogarbetet genomfördes i, utan snarare för att även andra planeringsnivåer varit förmögna att införliva gruppens förslag i sina respektive processer. Grunden till detta är att vidden av deltagandegruppens perspektiv på stadsdelens utveckling övergår detaljplaneprocessens möjlighet till utvecklingsarbete. Vad gäller undersökningen av uppsatsens värdeladdade begrepp, kan den aktuella medborgardeltagandeprocessen anses ha uppnått en relativt hög grad av inkludering i sina praktiker.

Humans attitudes towards different animals are very complex were culture, genetic, psychology and evolution are some of the factors that influence. The order of animals that can provoke the most intense and extreme attitudes, both positive and negative, are the carnivores. Wolves are a constant debate in Sweden and even though a big part of the population are neutral towards the wolf, a clear friction of the attitudes can be seen. Some factors that have been seen to influence the attitude are age, education and the size of the hometown. The aim of this study is to investigate whether outdoor activities, time spend in rural areas, and time spent in a weekend cottage, also correlate with attitude towards wolf.

I Arkitekten beskriver Dan Hallemar (2004) hur Stockholm Stad använder tre principer för att bygga stad;princip 1) Låt gå principen; handlar om det goda samtalet mellan professionen och marknaden där det sedan ofta görs som marknaden vill, men andra ord uppnå höga byggsiffror på kort tid och undvika överklaganden. This graduation thesis is about baths and beach like places in city centers. It focuses on recreation and the creation and development of public, social spaces in the city containing water as a visual and useable element. The thesis is divided into three parts; background, inspiration and application. The background examines four factors which we consider important for the occurrence of inner city baths; water, the history of bathing, inner city recreation and social life in public places. A discussion of the (future) importance of inner city baths and beach like places' is then presented. The inspirational part is divided into examples of existing places and examples of types of places. The first is used in an attempt to examine the function and importance of inner city baths and beach like places as well as the opportunities and challenges associated with them. The latter contains a presentation of six categories developed by us to facilitate the planning of inner city baths and beach like places.

This thesis is based on design theory about how to build an application for the mobile platform, a scientific analysis and an application for grocery shopping and meal planning. The thesis also contains a valuation of the research and of the application. The valuation of the application was done by a usability test and an analysis of the results of the test.The application of the thesis has an easy navigation system, which is time saving and simple to use. Finding recipes with the associated ingredients is a quick fix. The search function can be used for searching freely after recipes as well as for separate ingredients. That makes it possible for the user to create own recipes from available ingredients.

During spring 2009 a three meter tall and laughing robot was developed in collaboration between Royal Institute of Technology and Royal University College of Fine Arts. The robots function and esthetics is based on an existing toy robot called Elmo. Elmo is 30 cm tall but now the goal was to make it 1000 times bigger in order to present it on the spring exhibition of Royal University College of Fine Arts. Due to only four months of developing and building time a demand of fast determination and good planning was required. In order to make a good structure for the project it is divided into five phases: Analysis of Elmo, planning, concept development, detail construction and finally product development and testing.In the first phase valuable knowledge is obtained according to the movements and geometry of Elmo.

Nethouse Sverige AB is an IT consultancy in need of a mobile solution to inform participants of in-house events and distribute news to their consultants working in the field. This report  describes the planning and development of such a solution. The result of this thesis is a three system-solution. A mobile application where it is possible to view news and information about in-house events, and also receive suitable notifications, a web service which assists the mobile application by providing the corresponding information and finally a website to manage the information and notify mobile clients..

This essays overarching aim is to contribute to the theoretical discussion of transformation processes that are shaping the urban landscapes and further to problematize contemporary planning discourses in Sweden. Drawing on the concept of Foucault?s heterotopia and actor-network theory for spatial analysis, the paper seeks to analyze the complex urban landscape transformation process as an emergent property of human and non-human actor-networks seeking to transform and order space. With the district of Rosenlund in Gothenburg as a starting point, this thesis intends to examine how the cultural infrastructure - used by the residents and visitors of the city - are related to the city's planning and development processes. The case study is based on a boat (Rio Rio) in Rosenlund canal that is defined as a cultural infrastructure.

The purpose of this study is to shed light on and describe Kramfors travel centers function and relationship to the surrounding urban environment, and how this core is experienced by residents and visitors. To do this, the use of the travel center, its relationship to Kramfors city center and the perception of it, as well as possible improvement areas has been studied.This has been examined using a quantitative method by designing a questionnaire and the usage of a research strategy through the implementation of a small-scale survey. Within this a cluster sampling was applied.The result shows that Kramfors travel centers is primarily used for traveling and is used most frequently by the visitors within the study. It is also shown that residents 'primary reason for traveling from the travel center is friends and family, followed by shopping, and that the visitors' primary motive for traveling is friends and family as well, followed by work. The mode of transportation between the travel center and destinations are mainly walking, while the mode of transport between homes and the travel center proves to be the car.

This bachelor?s thesis examines the work with climate adaptation related to cloudbursts andhigh-water flows in three medium-sized municipalities: Lerum, Kungsbacka, and M?lndal.As climate changes progress, the risk of extreme weather events increases. This placesmunicipalities in an increasingly important position in planning and developing communitiescapable of managing a changing climate. The study aims to deepen the understanding of howmunicipal officials perceive the distribution of responsibility, collaboration, and capacity inclimate adaptation work.The study is based on a qualitative research design using semi-structured interviews withofficials working with strategic planning, water and sewage management, and climateadaptation. The theoretical framework draws on the concept of responsibility distribution,collaboration, and capacity.The results show that organizational conditions differ between the municipalities.

Det ligger ett stort ekonomiskt intresse i de näringar som finns etablerade i Sápmi och de naturresurser som ännu inte exploaterats. Norrländska älvar, skogar och mineraler bringar stora inkomster till Sverige varför det finns ett samhälleligt intresse i att ge goda förutsättningar för att utnyttja landets naturresurser. Mineralbrytning och vindkraftsparker är intressanta etableringar i både fjäll- och skogsland och högaktualiserar frågan om rennäringens fortsatta bedrivande. Det finns även andra ekonomiska intressen i fjällområdena bortom energiproduktion, gruvnäring och skogsbruk som gör anspråk på mark och vatten som omfattas av renskötselrätt. Omfattande intrång i renbetesmarker och hinder för den praktiska renskötseln utgörs nämligen också av turism och friluftsaktiviteter.
