Gringo - en språklig förnyare men hur? : En genre- och stilanalys av ett nytt samhällsmagasin över kulturgränser
The essay is an effort to examine and define three examples of liminal dance performances through an aesthetic, hermeneutic and semiotic analysis. The examples are three dance or liminal performances, made by three different choreographers and performed at ?Moderna Dansteatern? and ?Dansens Hus? in Stockholm during September and October 2005. In the effort to determine the liminal and cross-over in the performances, the analysis focus on aspects such as: the character of the work, choreography, the use of scenery, stage light, requisites, conception of place and interior room, the use of costume and mask, the use of different media as text, pictures, film, and music or not using any these, and the interaction with the Audience. The analysis depends on a historical background and the use of literature in the subject.
Om politiken och publiken : en diskursteoretisk analys av politiken som reglerar inehållet i public service
The aim with this study is to identify and discuss discourses in public service policy documents to clarify that public service policy is political and not self-evident. The study's theoretical as well as methodological starting point is the discourse theory of Laclau and Mouffe, which ontological position is that all meaning is constructed by discourses. In the studied material, two discourses have been identified in policy concerning the content in public service media. The responsibility-discourse construct meanings of what content the policy wants to see in public service media and in the quality-discourse meanings of how the content should be is constructed. Public service policy is consistent over the period that has been studied and the study shows that there is consensus in the parliament about the regulation of the content in public service media.

Our digital society encompasses nowadays different channels, which includes social media where many users consider it as a platform where they can fetch news or exchange news and information. This leads to a large spread of news exchange in a very fast speed, which involves the global users within social media to be a part of this social interaction. This study is focused on how Twitter affects the usage of the user?s news consumption. By reaching out to our specific target Audience, which includes Twitter users in Sweden, we made a web based survey with a content of relevant questions.
Barnteater - inte bara ?målad?? : En studie om hur barnteater kan se ut idag och hur en bra barnteaterföreställning ska vara enligt barn, lärare och medverkande.
Syftet med det här arbetet är att undersöka hur barnteatern kan se ut idag och om den uppfyller barnens krav.Observationer gjordes på tre slumpmässigt utvalda barnföreställningar för lågstadiet. Därefter intervjuades medverkande och publik som i detta fall bestod av barnen och dess lärare. Intervjufrågorna behandlade dels hur medverkande tänker inför en föreställning för barn och hur publiken uppfattade den, dels hur de anser att en bra barnföreställning bör vara.Resultatet i undersökningen visar några tydliga tendenser. De tre barnföreställningarna höll en god kvalitet i avseende på framförande, musik och dekor. Men barn är ofta ovana teaterbesökare och har svårt att ta in information genom bara iakttagande.
LHC - Strävan efter att öka den totala kundupplevelsen
In today's society there are a lot of offers towards consumers, where they actively have to choose the most appealing offer. In order for an offer to be attractive it must add value in line with the customers demand. Also, it requires that the offer provides a sufficient level of attraction so that the customer selects the particular product/service over another. Furthermore, each offer must exceed the expectations of the visitors to an event, so they feel that the event is something "extraordinary". We have chosen to study how LHC (Linkoping Hockey Club) works with marketing in order to improve the overall customer experience.
Below-the-line : En fallstudie av små företags tillämpning av marknadskommunikation med fokus på below-the-line metoder
This study aims to research how small companies that operate on the Swedish home electronic-market utilize marketing communications to communicate their message. The focus of this study has been to research these companies use of below-the-line activities in their marketing communications. Interviews have been conducted with representatives from each of the three companies Neonode, Jens of Sweden and Tonium, that compose the selection from the population in this study. The use of below-the-line activities in small companies is mainly motivated by lower cost, which suit small company budgets. Below-the-line activities are also used for branding and the creation of credibility among the consumers when the target Audience does not yet know the brand.

Watching television (TV) has been given a new meaning, you don?t have to book a specific time, a specific date if you don?t want to miss the program you were planning to see. In Sweden now days we can watch TV in lot of different ways, whenever we choose to do so. In this thesis I attempt to explain and document the process of shaping a tvformat, the development and adaptation to a time when the TV medium is in a change. Plus a look at how the television Audiences relate to their use of it.
Attitydproblem : Om attityduttryck och deras retoriska funktioner
This thesis explores how verbal and nonverbal signs communicate attitudes and the rhetorical functions of such attitudinal signs. Attitudes are regarded as rationalized evaluations of attitudinal objects, and through their manifestation in signs an attitudinal gestalt is communicated. This gestalt is regarded as the Audiences perception of the rhetors attitude. It is shown that the attitudinal signs function as ethical, logical and pathetic proofs and that they can create identification between the Audience and the rhetor. The signs can have effects on the Audiences perception of the attitudinal objects, their perception of the rhetor and influence the social dynamic of the discourse.

During the second part of the 20th Century celebrities became more commonly used for commercial purposes as they could enhance purchase intentions, word-of-mouth- intentions and change attitudes towards brands and products. Over the last few years blogs and bloggers have become more and more used for product placing and the bloggers? power over consumers? behaviour has grown rapidly. The aim of this study is to compare a celebrity?s and a blogger?s impact on consumer behaviour and try to understand the underlying reasons why they do have such power over their Audiences.
Den uppkopplade enkätundersökningen : En studie av informationsvisualiseringen i Mentimeter
A new phenomenon on the Internet is the online Audience response. Mentimeter is a web-based tool where you can create online polls. The users can then cast a vote and the result is shown in real time. We want to test the information visualization in Mentimeter and we base our hypothesis, that a better graph design is possible, on the work of Edward Tufte and Stephen Few. Edward Tufte is an emeritus at Yale University, where he held courses in statistical evidence and information design and has created theories about how visual information should be designed.
Örebro i strålkastarnas ljus ? nattsvart! : En studie om hur ett retoriskt angreppssätt på kriskommunikation kan utveckla och bidra till hanteringen av den kommunikativa aspekten av en kris
Ambitionen med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka hur retorisk teori kan bidra till och komplettera området för kriskommunikation. Genom en intervju med Örebro kommuns kommunikationsdirektör och genom en teoretisk fördjupning har vi sammanfört en praktikers perspektiv med ett teoretiskt perspektiv. Vi har tagit avstamp i den retoriska situationen och undersökt hur ett retoriskt angreppssätt kan öka förståelsen för den kommunikativa aspekten av en kris samt vilken nytta en kriskommunikatör kan ha av att se på en kris som en retorisk situation. Resultatet visar att den retoriska situationen kan bidra med ett nytt och givande perspektiv på kriskommunikation. Inom den retoriska situationens tre konstituenter - exigence, Audience och constraints - kommer ethos, topiker, doxa, narrativ, identifikation, kairos och decorum att skapa ett kompletterande och systematiserande förhållningssätt till kriskommunikation..

This thesis focus on the presentation of the filmic room the viewer sees in George A. Romero´s three horror classics Night, Dawn and Day of the Dead. The hypothesis goes as follow; fear and element of tension becomes greater if the Audience/viewer has a good knowledge about the filmic room in the film, in other words, a good spatial awareness. The conclusion is that it does. The environment is active in its becoming and in its presentation to the viewer.
Jag kan själv : Spelmanualer för mellanstadiebarn
Todays board game manuals have many shortcomings. One of them is that they are not always adapted to the game's target Audience.Adapting the language and shape of a game manual for the the target group children, can save time for both parents and teachers, and give the children a chance to conquer the game by themselves. In addition, playing board games can lead to children developing other important properties such as problem solving and independence.This study found that the game manuals inconsistency, tone and the way they adress the reader makes it difficult for children to grasp the content. Many game manuals do not speak directly to the reader, and often describes gameplay in a passive way, which has been shown by this study.This study has resulted in 12 guidelines for writing game manuals for children. In addition, they have been tested with a sample study.
