Previous research has shown that children with multiple disabilities have been able to learn to make choices. Practising choice making is a good way to introduce an intervention using Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC). Choice making with objects should then be trainded before choice making with pictures. The present study is a single subject experimental design and was accomplished at a center for children with disabilities in Tanzania during 12 weeks. The primary purpose was to examine if the number of choices made by two boys with cerebral palsy increased after communicationintervention with objects and pictures.

Syftet med den här studien var att få en bättre förståelse för hur arbetet med personlig försäljning kan beskrivas i små och medelstora företag. Syftet nåddes genom att undersöka försäljningsprocessen och de olika rollerna inom försäljning. För att nå studiens mål utförsdes fallstudier på fyra svenska små och medelstora företag inom livsmedelsindustrin. Personliga intervjuer genomfördes med representanter för Jonssons Chips, Bergnäsets Bageri, Polarica och Piteortens Chark. Resultaten från den här studien visar att existerande teorier inom personlig försäljning inte alltid passar för att beskriva personlig försäljning i små och medelstora företag.

En attraktiv stad är ett vitt begrepp. Vad som är attraktivt för någon behöver inte vara det för någon annan. Vissa faktorer bedömer jag dock att de flesta är överens om krävs för att vi ska trivas i staden. Det handlar om fysiska och sociala faktorer men också om rekreationsmöjligheter, historia, kulturutbud, skönhet med mera. I dettta arbete har jag studerat de fysiska faktorerna närmare och kommit fram till att skala, entréer, gruppering av hus och tydlighet i stadsrummet är viktiga ingredienser i områden där människor bor och arbetar. Dessa fysiska faktorer har jag sedan försökt att arbeta in i ett förslag till stadsförnyelse i industriområdet Sorgenfri i östra delen av centrala Malmö. För att få en bild av vad som gör staden attraktiv har jag bland annat studerat dess historia och dess parker och grönområden.

The purpose of this essay is to analyse how and why culture and tradition is created and maintained within a minor student society at a Swedish university by looking at its history. The West Coast Nation student society provided the material which was subsequently analysed and three sociological perspectives were applied in order to give the study a theoretical base. In order to investigate the purpose of the society, durkheimian theories on functionalism were applied. Moreover, Bourdieu?s thoughts on social fields were used as well as Elias? theories on the established and the outsiders.

Dagens trend av industriell tillverkning och konsumtion är av linjär karaktär. Material utvinns, blir produkter och hamnar sedan på deponi. Detta examensarbete har tillsammans med Industrial Development Center AB syftat till att skapa en mer hållbar industriell tillverkning inom Skaraborgsregionen, genom att forma en produktutvecklingsprocess i enlighet med cirkulär ekonomi. Cirkulär ekonomi förespråkar att avfall inte får förekomma och att produkter och material ska cirkulera i kretslopp. Projektet bestod därför av en bred förstudie för att samla och utvärdera ett stort område med teorier, processer och företagens ansvarsroller.

During five weeks the authors, two physiotherapy students, completed a clinical practice at the rehabilitation center Pina Palmera, Zipolite, Oaxaca, Mexico. At the beginning of the period a critical incident was chosen, when the head physiotherapist for the ward Cuidados Especiales intended to sell jewellery to the authors during a treatment of a patient. The authors have by using the reflection framework "Framework to guide reflective process", and Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) for analysis, discussed different ways of communication, adherence, education, and self-reflection and critical thinking.

Objective: To study the evidence on physical activity (PA) as an effective preventive strategy for depression.Methods: A search of electronic databases was performed for articles between 2007 and 2012, both original research and review articles, concerning the link between PA and depression on children, youth and adults. Three reviews, five longitudinal and two cross sectional studies were included.Results:  PA reduced the likelihood of depression in many studies and a sedentary or inactive lifestyle increased the risks for mental health symptoms such as depression. One study showed that low PA in childhood increased the odds of depression as an adult and other studies on teenagers saw a connection and mediation between PA and self-esteem whereas physical fitness showed no mediating effect. Many of the studies and reviews point out the insecurity regarding the dose-response association and the difficulties in defining causality.Conclusion: PA might have a preventive effect on depression. Some evidence exist to support that PA in childhood prevents depression in adults.

Every second woman in Sweden suffers in their lifetime of fracture that is related to osteoporosis. Osteoporosis and fractures affect the person´s everyday life. The aim of the study was to describe experiences of feeling well among women with osteoporosis. Six women were interviewed with semi- structured interviews. The interviews were transcribed and the text was analyzed with thematic content analysis.

The aim of this study is to examine which communication channels and communication strategies Umea? municipality could use for information concerning outdoor recreation. To achieve this aim the following theories and views have been applied: social communication, communication strategies, two-way symmetrical communication, social media and uses and gratifications. The study was conducted through four focus group interviews and one informant interview. The focus groups consisted of four groups of outdoor enthusiasts in Umea? municipality: outdoor interested students, organized outdoor enthusiasts, active families and active seniors.

A large problem in our society is the diseases that inactivity brings to the population. The lifestyle you have in adolescence is often the same that you have in adulthood. Because of this, prevention should start in youth. The aim of this study was to investigate the experience that youths have of physical education and it?s influence in their spare-time activities.

Naturens betydelse för människan är stor och den tätortsnära skogen utgör en viktig plats i den växande urbana befolkningens närhet. Ungefär två kilometer nordost om Falu centrum ligger Lugnets naturreservat, ett tätortsnära område som nyttjas av allt från motionärer och barnfamiljer till elitidrottare. Syftet med den här studien var att genomföra en syntesanalys över hur skötseln av Lugnets naturreservat kan utformas för att tillgodose så många intressen som möjligt. Genom kvalitativa intervjuer med ett urval av områdets intressenter kartlades deras nyttjande och synpunkter. Tillsammans med befintlig teori inom området utformades generella och specifika skogsskötsel- och förvaltningsförslag för reservatet.

Sexually transmitted diseases among youths is a growing problem. Generally, the knowledge about sexually transmitted diseases is relatively good, however, the risktaking among youths is great. The schools education regarding sex is often insufficient. The foundation for avoiding STD is knowledge. However, knowledge does not solve the attitude problem regarding the use of condoms.

Media har i flera år skrivit om att centrumhandeln i många städer har en negativ tillväxt. De externa köpcentrum har under den senaste tiden haft en positiv tillväxt. Under de 10-20 senaste åren så har stora detaljhandelskedjor haft som strategi att etbalera sina nya butiker i de externa köpcentrumen. När de väljer att etablera sig där så ökar konkurrensen för centrumgalleriorna. Syftet med denna uppsats är ta reda på centrumledarnas syn på situationen för centrumgalleriorna och de externa köpcentrumen i Västerås och Norrköping.Åtta centrumledare på centrumgallerior och externa köpcentrum i Västerås och Norrköping har intervjuats samt en fastighetsmarknadsutvecklare i Norrköping.

Denna uppsats är skriven höstterminen 1997, då ett nytt läromedel började utvärderas i Linköping. Den svenska skolan har sedan en tid haft bristande natur- och teknikundervisning i de lägre årskurserna. Den Kungliga Vetenskapsakademien gav vissa av Linköpings skolor uppdraget att i lärarlag arbeta med ett nytt material, för att kunna se dess fördelar och brister. Materialet heter Science and Technology for Children (STC) och är framtaget av den amerikanska organisationen National Science Resource Center. Sedan utvärderingen av STC har läromedlet bytt namn till NTA (Natur och Teknik för Alla).
