Ur ett symbolisk interaktionistiskt perspektiv är människan en social varelse som lever i ett samhälle som är under ständigt skapande. I det samhälle där individen genom interaktion både formas och skapas är samhälle och individ tätt förenade vilket är den utgångspunkt vi genomgående valt att förhålla oss till i denna antologi. Antologin belyser omställningar i livet genom fyra olika bidrag. Agnesa Abrashis bidrag heter ?Ett nytt skede i livet ? en studie om identitet och moderskap? och behandlar hur mammor ser på sitt identitetsskapande.

Sverige är ett mångkulturellt land men trots det är etnisk diskriminering en del av vardagen för många människor idag. Enligt diskrimineringslagen ska alla människor, oavsett etnisk tillhörighet, ha samma rättigheter och möjligheter. Men hur ser det ut för personer med annan etnisk tillhörighet än svensk på arbetsmarknaden, har de samma möjligheter att söka och få ett jobb?Lagstiftningen förbjuder diskriminering på olika samhällsområden i Sverige, och vissa grupper anses i lagen vara mer skyddsvärda. Diskrimineringsförbudet råder således även inom arbetslivet.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate if there exists a superiority between developed and developing countries, which then in turn effects the negative consequences, for the local inhabitants of Thailand, that follow from mass tourism.To be able to answer the questions that we have selected for this thesis, we chose to perform open interviews with six respondents which were all involved in the tourism industry in Thailand. Four of the interviews were carried out on location in Thailand. In order to deepen our understanding of the selected questions even further literary studies have been made as well. The theories we have chosen concern the topics of imperialism and figurations.Our empirical material gave significant results. It showed that there is indeed an imbalance of power between the western world and Thailand.

The major environmental problems that we have today are frequently mentioned in the media today. One example is the ongoing debate regarding global warming and its causes and consequences. There are also several other problems in our society such as segregation and social tensions. Most agree that we must do something to solve these problems and that we must try to achieve a sustainable development for the entire planet. But how should it actually be done and what trade-offs, compromises, sacrifices and changes must be made?The purpose of this paper is to examine how these issues are being dealt with in Swedish city planning.

With a growing population on earth the amount of end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) and other scrap steel increases. The European Directive 2000/53/CE? requires a minimum of 95 % reuse and recovery and 85 % re-use and recycling no later than 1 January 2015, for end-of life vehicles. This imposes a need for more efficient recycling and recovery. Despite this shredder residue (SR) is commonly land filled.This report investigated the magnetic fines residue generated at Stena Metall shredder facility in Halmstad, Sweden.

Övergödningen är ett av de största miljöproblemen för södra Sveriges inlandsvatten och dess recipient Östersjön. Åtgärdsbehovet för att reducera N och P förlusterna från land till vatten är med andra ord stort. Effekten av en åtgärd är emellertid ofta kopplat till geografiska betingelser vilket gör det svårt att uppskatta den slutliga effekten och därefter prioritera vilka åtgärder som är lämpliga och vart dem skall riktas. I detta examensarbete undersöks effekten av 22 planerade våtmarker inom ett begränsat avrinningsområde i södra Sverige, detta genom att koppla befintliga beräkningsmodeller för N respektive P retention i våtmarker till en hydrologi? och vattenkvalitetsmodell.

This paper investigates the science fiction novels of Swedish crime writer Per Wahlöö, most famous for his collaboration with his writing partner Maj Sjöwall on the ten Martin Beck mysteries. During two important years, 1964 and 1968, Wahlöö wrote the novels Murder On the 31st Floor and The Steel Spring, set in a near future land ruled by a social fascist power structure where political opposition is eradicated. The pretexted notion of this paper is that these novels consists of extensive quantities of criticism against the Swedish welfare state and the monopoly-capitalistic Swedish press during the sixties. Through the lens of science fiction theory and the notion of the novels as historical sources this paper concludes that PerWahlöö´s science fiction becomes a bridge between the classic Swedish detective novel and the new social critic crime fiction in the style of Sjöwall-Wahlöö and others. The novels are also representations of the historical process in the mid-sixties during the radical turn: the sci-fi novels as social criticism of the contemporary society ? an utopian flare.

Havsnivåhöjningen kommer innebära en förändring av kustlandskapet. Diskussionen om anpassningen till havsnivåhöjningen har hittills fokuserat på den bebyggda kusten. Höjda havsnivåer innebär ändrade förutsättningar även för den obebyggda kusten genom förändrade strandlinjer, fler och kraftigare översvämningar och ökad erosion. Detta i sin tur kommer påverka naturmiljön och människans användande av kusten. Även de skyddsåtgärder som människor förväntas vidta, t.ex.

Detta arbete behandlar problematiken med att bygga kustnära, samtidigt som det i relation till klimatförändringen och den globala uppvärmningen sker en havsnivåhöjning. Syftet med arbetet är att upplysa om olika skydds- och bygg-nadsmetoder, som kan användas för att upprätthålla traditionen av att bygga vid kusten samt att kunna stilla den efterfrågan som idag finns för havsnära lägen utan att utsätta människor för risken av översvämningar. Arbetet börjar med en översiktlig bild av dagsprognosen för de stundande kli-matförändringarna samt vilka effekter dessa har för den globala havsnivåhöj- ningen, för att sedan beta sig ner till en mer lokal nivå och beskriva dagsläget för södra Sverige samt prognosen fram till slutet på seklet. Det presenteras även en aktuell bild för hur lagstiftningens, kommunernas, länsstyrelsernas och den fysiska planeringens roll förhåller sig till den stundande havsnivåhöjningen samt vilka kli-matanpassningsåtgärder som kan göras med havsnivåhöjningen i fokus. Avsnittet, ?Att bygga för framtiden? ger en kort översikt för olika skydds- och byggnadsmetoder som finns med hänsyn till havsnivåhöjningen.

The aim of this review is to evaluate the best way to transport the horse. When it comes to transporting horses there are a number of different types of trailers and trucks that you can choose from today. The most common type of trailer is designed for two horses and the horses are transported facing the direction of travel. Studies has been performed to determine if that is the most advantageous direction for the horse to travel in, in terms of balance and levels of stress. Stress is a widely discussed subject and the definition is not fully developed.

The aim of this paper is to examine the capacity for ethical reasoning of Swedish certi-fied auditors in the five largest accounting firms in Stockholm, and also how ethics courses affect the auditors' ability to ethically statement. To calculate the auditors ability to ethical statement, questionnaire has been used. The questionnaire is based on a psychological instrument, the so-called Defining Issues Test. At the beginning of the questionnaire some questions are asked about the ethics courses. From the questionnaire a calculation was made of an average index called p-score (Principled score).

Syftet med denna magisteruppsats i upplevelseproduktion är att: studera huruvida och på vilket sätt, frontpersonal vid två svenska mäss- och konferensanläggningar, upplever att yrkesstolthet är en faktor som motiverar till att utöva värdskap. Med ett hermeneutiskt förhållningssätt och en induktiv ansats har kvalitativa och semistrukturerade intervjuer genomförts. Totalt åtta informanter ingår i studien, fem av dessa är anställda vid Svenska Mässan i Göteborg, resterande tre vid Nolia i Piteå. Intervjuerna har transkriberats och analyserats. Litteraturstudier ligger till grund för den problemformulering som mynnar ut i syftet.

This project will search for the sound in the contemporary landscape architecture, an attempt to combine music and land­scaping. In a first stage, I have searched for outdoor environments where loudspeakers are used, and sites with a concious sound design. The project will result in a sound design created for the park Frodeparken in Uppsala, Sweden. In my search for sites and examples of conscious sound, I have talked to the people behind the projects I found - landscape architects, sound artists and architects. Influences from different areas have been essential for me in the project.

Rapid urbanization causes competition over land use between green area preservation and urban development in cities and greatly affects ecosystems as well as human well-being. This conflict is significant all around the world as many cities are now replacing existing green areas with new developments. The area around Dag Hammarskjöld's väg in Uppsala is currently experiencing the same conflict, as the need that the city has for new housing represents a threat for the many valuable green areas that are in the site. The purpose of this project was to understand how the need of urban development and the preservation of green areas could be balanced. This understanding would thereafter be used to make a design proposal for the area around Dag Hammarskjöld's väg.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur Sveriges förbud mot köp av sexuella tjänster respektive Danmarks mer tillåtande inställning, upplevs av kvinnor som säljer sex i vardera land. Vi har valt att fokusera på de faktorer som rör risk- och skyddsaspekter, rättigheter - och skyldigheter, rådande attityder i samhället samt hur dessa kan tänkas påverka kvinnornas privatliv. Genom kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra sexsäljande kvinnor och sex professionella på området framkommer det en tydlig distinktion mellan de som säljer sex på gatan och de som säljer sex inomhus. Med hjälp av stigmateorin, empowerment samt ett specifikt synsätt på sexualitet har vi kunnat analysera deras polariserade upplevelser och erfarenheter. Utifrån en tematisk analys framkommer det att kvinnorna i Sverige upplever lagstiftningen som paradoxal i avseende på risk- och skyddsfaktorer.
