The purpose of this essay is to test for significance between TED- spread and four different macrovariables, housing prices, Federal funds rate, Asset Backes Securities and mortgage volume. Multiple regression has been used to search for significance between the dependent and the four independent variables. Our data consist of quarterly reports from January 1998 to June 2008. Our conclusion is that all of the four variables show a significant relation with TED- Spread. The model explains 76 percent of the variation in TED- Spread..

Syftet med uppsatsen är att skapa en modell som kan förklara yield spread hos företagsobligationer. För att få en modell som nära återspeglar verkligheten inkluderas både företagsspecifika och makroekonomiska faktorer. Vi utgår från en kvantitativ studie och tillämpat en multipel regression på paneldata innehållande 24 bolag för att förklara yield spread hos företagsobligationer. Den teoretiska referensramen består av forskningsartiklar från främst USA men även Europa som behandlar riskkomponenter hos yield Spread. This masters thesis deals with smoke spread via ventilation systems. One aim of the thesis is to investigate and explain the differences in efforts to prevent smoke spread via ventilation systems in different countries. A second aim of this thesis is to investigate how frequently occurring smoke spread via ventilation systems in Swedish buildings are. The information which we were interested in is the one spread by normal users, and user?s perception of it. The aim of this essay is to study and show the contents of the music repertoire that is used in live action role plays in Sweden and study how this repertoire is spread between participants in the culture of live action role playing.Four informants have been chosen and interviewed, three men and one woman of different ages from different places in Sweden. They have all been practicing live action role playing for some years.Some of the conclusions that can be drawn from this study is that the participants of this hobby culture value music that feels old and contribute to the illusion of another world and time. The music repertoire of the live action role playing culture is filled with this music that gives the participants associations in line with the illusion. That is more important than the real age of the music. Another interesting conclusion is that the participants learn and spread the melodies verbally to each other and only the texts spread on the internet..

Recent years have seen a dramatic increase in podcast listening in Sweden. As a result, podcasts has become attractive in marketing purposes among enterprises and organizations. It has also been revealed that the messages about products advertised in podcasts not only spread among the listeners, but also among their friends when publishing on social media. Research in this area has shown that messages spread on social media is a process which not only involve the transmitter and the receiver but also a third party, that is other individuals in the receivers network. African swine fever, ASF, was first described 1921, in Kenya. The virus has thereafter spread through many African countries as well as in Europe, Asia, South- and Central America. The virus is spread via three different cycles, of which one is sylvatic and includes warthogs and soft ticks. The other two are between domestic pigs and the one most common one is caused by humans, who not always realize the seriousness of precautions. The infection manifests as hemorrhagic fever, but can also be more or less unnoticed. The aim of this study was to use molecular tools to detect and partly genetically characterize ASFV both in soft ticks and in serum from domestic pigs in Uganda. Comparing viruses detected in ticks with those detected in domestic pigs I also wanted to investigate possible links between the sylvatic and domestic cycle.

Reindeer lichens are of crucial importance to reindeers and reindeer husbandry, especially in the winter when reindeers primarily feed on different lichen species (Cladina spp. and Cetraria spp.).

Uppsatsen behandlar vilka förändringar som uppkommer på spread (vilket är skillnaden mellan köpkurs och säljkurs) på handelsvolym och på volatilitet när ett företag genomför återköp av egna aktier. Vi undersöker vad dessa förändringar får för innebörd för investerarna och förtagen. Med bakgrund i amerikanska forskningar analyserar vi 35 stycken företag i Sverige som har genomfört återköp en eller flera gånger under de två första åren återköp blev tillåtet i Sverige, nämligen år 2000 och år 2001. Genom att jämföra värden under en period på ett år före återköpstillfället med ett år efter, har vi kommit fram till att både relativ och absolut spred ökar signifikant efter återköpet. Resultaten visar också på en signifikant minskning av marknadsjusterad handelsvolym och av marknadsjusterad mittprisvolatilitet.

AIDS is a huge problem in the world and it is spreading rapidly, especially in Africa. Botswana is one of the worlds worst-hit countries, with over one-third of the inhabitants infected by HIV/AIDS. The measures that have been taken to stop the spread of AIDS are to inform and enlighten people on how the disease is spread and how to protect oneself. The aim of this thesis is to investigate what different ways of informing people about AIDS different organisations make use of in Botswana. The thesis also addresses how some receivers of the AIDS information experience it.
