Att fördelarna med fysisk aktivitet är många är välkänt, ändå är uppemot 40% av befolkningen i Sverige fysiskt inaktiva. Vissa träningsformer är bättre och mer lockande än andra. Att träna i grupp antas skilja sig känslomässigt från att träna ensam. Syftet med studien var att undersöka nivåer och skillnader i ansträngnings och emotionsskattningar vid gruppträning jämfört med ensamträning. Sexton personer deltog med Spinning som gruppträningsform och cykling på ett laboratorium som ensamträning i en inomindividsdesign där de samtidigt skattat ansträngning och sex känslotillstånd på Borg CR100 skalan.

Svenska Kraftnät is (together with the other transmission system operators of the Nordic power system) responsible for keeping balance between the generated and demanded power in the Nordic power system. Spontaneous load variations and system disturbances, however, lead to power imbalance followed by frequency variations. Kadens är hur fort cyklisten trampar med pedalerna mätt i enheten Varv per minut vanligt förkortat RPM från engelskans Revolutions Per Minute. Hur fort en cyklist trampar påverkar kroppen på många olika sätt och ofta vill cyklisten veta vad aktuell kadens är för att optimera sin prestation. Den undersökta principen att använda en accelerometer för att mäta kadens syftar till att en eventuell prototyp skulle vara lämplig till inomhuscykling även kallad Spinning.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet är att undersöka vad som motiverar respektive hämmar de anställdas deltagande i ett kontorsföretags interna friskvårdsverksamhet och utifrån detta se om några könsskillnader föreligger. De fyra frågeställningar som använts är: Vilka motivationsfaktorer är det som främst påverkar dem att delta? Vilka är de mest förekommande anledningarna till att de inte deltar och vilka betingelser kan förändras för att underlätta ett deltagande? Vilka aktiviteter i företagets utbud är de mest tilltalande? Vilka aktiviteter utöver företagets utbud kan utgöra en motivationsfaktor till att börja delta?MetodDenna studie baseras på en kvantitativ undersökning med enkäter som metod. Urvalet har gjorts slumpmässigt bland företagets anställda till ett sampel på 129 personer, varav 71 procent är män och 29 procent är kvinnor. Då undersökningen genomfördes fanns författarna på plats.

This thesis is a product development project that was performed at Alfa Laval Tumba AB. In the past Alfa Laval have manufactured gas separators for engines where gas flows were cleaned from oil. A new business area for this kind of technology has shown to be the manufacturing industry where oil mist has to be separated from the vented air. Therefore a new and bigger design is needed to be able to handle the greater gas flows. A product like that would be a strong competitor on the market when the maintenance would be low in comparison to today?s equipment.During the project several concept suggestions were developed using customer interviews and research as input.

This Master Thesis has been carried out in cooperation with Ursus Medical AB (URSUS) which markets, assembles and sells the Rotex Screw Needle Biopsy Instrument ®. The instrument is delivered with an instrument holder. Customers had expressed dissatisfaction over that they needed to use two hands during a biopsy procedure, which resulted in a project to develop a new instrument holder.The project aim was to create concepts for how the new instrument holder should be designed, with focus on the mechanics. The new instrument holder would build on the existing basic principle that the screw needle and the cannula were screwed into the tissue. The thesis work would result in a technical solution and a functional prototype of the chosen concept.To achieve this, a generic product development processes were used and began with a comprehensive literature review.

This study includes a life cycle assessment, LCA, on an ecological produced cotton shirt for the company Reflective Circle, which designs ethical and ecological clothes.Initially were cotton farming and textile production studied to gather basic knowledge about the processes. Since this shirt is being ecological produced in the whole production chain, we studied what an ecological production means, but also how a conventional production works. When this was done we could start to discuss the differences and similarities between the production of the shirt and general conventional production.When the LCA was first initiated, the main focus was on the green house gas emissions from the manure at the cultivation. Thereafter the process steps such as picking, ginning, carding, Spinning, weaving and sewing were being studied. The picking is done by hand, but the rest of the processes are handed by machines which consumes energy.

Hemp has been used for textiles for a long time in history until it became illegal to grow in many countries in the 1930s. It is interesting from an environmental point of view because it doesn?t need any pesticides and in most locations it doesn?t need any irrigation either, compared to cotton, which normally requires big amounts of both pesticides and water for irrigation. Hemp is a bast fiber, which means that the fibers are located on the bast of the stem (on the outer layer of the stem). Therefore they cannot be spun directly, they have to be removed from the stem first.

The development within the textile industry is always ongoing with development of new andbetter textiles, which often mean the use of non-natural materials like polyester. This doesn?t lineup with the work shared around the world against an improved environment, so the idea came touse a form of linen fibers instead of polyester as the reinforcing material together with cotton.The idea was to use flax, linen of low quality, which is seen as a waste product and garbage inthe production of high quality linen and flax seed oil. This flax of low quality needs to beseparated before it can be used in cotton Spinning machines. Fireball 2 is just that, a process toseparate flax fibers through the treatment of a technique called electrohydraulic discharge.The thesis works goal is to evaluate the Fireball 2 process ability to separate flax fiber.
