Background Nightingale attention that hygiene was an important task to prevent health- related infection. Today there are guidelines how hand hygiene should be followed, to prevent health- related infection. Good knowledge and education in hand hygiene and its consequences if it?s not followed is of great importance. Hand hygiene should be performed before and after the clean and the unclean work with patients and materials.

Background: Hand hygiene is the simplest and most fundamental means to prevent care related infections. It is of great importance that the guideline of hand hygiene is followed for the patient?s sake. Unfortunately, healthcare workers perform hand hygiene too seldom. If the patient comes down with a care related infection, the suffering will increase.

Hand raising is a common method in schools and a way for students to engage in the classrooms turn-allocation (Andersson & Haglund 2006, p 35), but not all benefit from it. According to Dylan Wiliam (2011) hand raising divides the students by putting the students that participate in hand raising at an advantage versus the students that do not. This study aims to examine hand raising as a phenomenon and the students and teachers thoughts about hand raising. ABSTRACTIntroduction: Preoperative hand disinfection aims to prevent surgical site infections. After the preparing hand wash, drying is performed using an aseptic technique. It?s important to dry hands thoroughly in order to achieve the full effect of the alcohol based hand disinfection. A large part of people's consumption consists of clothing that is bought and discarded increasingly leading to a number of environmental problems such as global warming, pollution, loss of biodiversity and the depletion of natural assets. One way to save the earth's resources is to buy used clothing, so called second hand, instead of new ones. The store chain ?The Ants? (in Swedish ?Myrorna?) has specializing in Second-hand goods and sells, among other things, clothes.

Syftet med denna enkätstudie var att beskriva upplevd besvärsbild hos tandtekniker som utsätts för hand/arm vibrationer. Femton tandtekniker deltog i studien. En kontrollgrupp på 15 personer som ej utsätts för hand/arm vibrationer matchades i kön och ålder. Studiepopulationerna besvarade enkäter som var sammanställda av författarna. Resultatet visade att tandteknikerna hade mer värk i händer, handleder och fingrar än kontrollgruppen.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva varför följsamheten gällande handhygien ofta är låg bland vårdpersonal, samt hur man kan öka följsamheten för handhygien bland vårdpersonal. Metoden som använts var en litteraturstudie. Datainsamling skedde via databaserna Medline (PubMed), Cinahl (EBSCO host) och Academic Search Elite. Sökorden som använts: prevention, hand disinfection, hand washing, infection control, nosocomial infection och education. Totalt användes 15 vetenskapliga artiklar.

Syftet med detta arbete är upplysande och gäller lärarens upplevelse av tid och energi. Genom skola och praktik har jag sett hur lärararbetet kan praktiseras.
