"Osynliga orchidébarn" - Självskadebeteende hos ungdomar sett ur de professionellas perspektiv

The purpose of this study was to examine the Professionals´ views concerning self-harm behaviour in adolescents they meet. We interviewed nine different Professionals. Our questions were: What do the Professionals believe are the reasons to self-harm? How do the Professionals experience self esteem and identity in adolescents with self-harm behaviour? How do the Professionals look at the self-harm behaviour from a gender perspective? How do the Professionals think a diagnosis can affect adolescents with self-harm behaviour? In our responses we noticed beliefs about the cause as a combination of environmental relationships and the individual who is born with a certain vulnerability. The Professionals believe that the adolescents have trouble finding their identity.

 Unga föräldrar :  En kvalitativ studie om ungt föräldraskap sett utifrån professionellas perspektiv

The purpose of this paper was to examine how young parenthood is represented by the Professionals and their thoughts and experiences from meetings with the young parents, and how the Professionals work with this group of parents. As Professionals we refer to those who work with young parents, and the definition of young parents are parents in the ages 15-24. The paper also discusses what needs these parents have, and what kind of support the society offers, according to the Professionals. The method we worked with was interviews and we interviewed six Professionals to find out how the Professionals looked upon the young parents and their situation. Earlier research has stated that young parenthood is associated with many risks and disadvantages for both the parents and their children.

Background: During the 1980s, the fear of HIV spread over the world. Health Professionals'attitudes to patients with HIV, was negatively impacted because of their fear to be infected.Patients with HIV have therefore,during disease history's first two decades, experienced stigma and discrimination in the response from health Professionals. Because of the increasing knowledge of HIV it is of interest to study patients' contemporary experiences of the encounter with health Professionals. Aim:To explore how patients with HIV experiencing the meeting with health Professionals. Method:Literature study with seven qualitative and three quantitative articles.

"Här finns ingen tid att förlora" : professionellas tankar kring gravida missbrukare

The purpose of this paper has been to examine the ways in which Professionals describe their work with pregnant drug-addicts. The paper raises the following questions;· How does the deviant behavior, that using drugs during pregnancy can be described as, affect the Professionals in their work with pregnant drug-addicts?· How do the Professionals experience their own role, and the roles of other Professionals?· In what ways do they work in order to reach a favorable result with these clients?The paper is based on qualitative material, gathered through 14 interviews with Professionals. By using theories of deviant behavior and attachment-theory between a child and its mother, our intention was to analyze the empirical results.From our interviews we have learned that the Professionals consider some factors as more important than others for a favourable result in their work with pregnant drug-addicts. Such factors are for example the significance of a cooperation between different authorities and ethical awareness in meeting with the client..

Barn i skuggan av barnperspektivet : En studie om syskons inkludering vid insatser till familjer där barn har en funktionsnedsättning

Science has shown that siblings to children with a disability are affected by the family situation. The siblings often let their own needs and requests come secondary to their family members. This study illustrates how different Professionals, who keep in contact with families with a disabled child, works with its siblings. The purpose with this study was to see how Professionals, working as administrators, counselors at the habilitation and kin supporters in the region of Kalmar, include siblings while working with the families. Representatives from the Professionals have been interviewed with a semi structured interview manual.The result showed that Professionals have various opinions how siblings are affected by the family situation.

This study elucidates the feelings and the experiences by working with the complex of problems of self-injurious behaviour, of six Professionals. The purpose with this study has been to examine the feelings and the experiences of the Professionals, coming up when they meet and treat young girls with self-injurious behaviour. The empirical basis of this study is built on interviews of six female Professionals, working in the County of Kalmar. The statements of the informants were analyzed out of Goffman?s Role Theory and the norm perspective on social behaviour.

During the past two decades a new expression has emerged in Swedish business linguistics: Styrelseproffs (appr. Board Professional). The aim of this paper is to study whether a board member legitimately can be considered a professional. This is investigated through the eyes of the theoretical framework of professionalization. The empirical data is collected through interviews and presents the perspective of people considered to be Board Professionals.

Pilotutvärdering av KomHIT:

The study aimed to evaluate picture communication during clinical as-sessment and intervention procedures in paediatric care. As part of the project KomHIT (Augmentative communication in paediatric health care settings) care Professionals at different care units were provided with education and designed pictorial supports. These consisted of appointment letters with pictorial support, visual schedules and communication boards with both general and specific vocabulary. Care Professionals and parents to children with and without communication disabilities participated. Survey data from care Professionals and parents at five care units was supplemented with qualitative data from an interview with a multiprofessional group at one of the care units.

This thesis examines how knowledge management Professionals use trust as a component in the creation of knowledge management systems, and what methods they use for building trust.Adopting a grounded theory approach, interviews with 8 knowledge management Professionals active in different industries served as the base for an analysis that identified trust to be the single most important common factor in the data. The concept of trust used by the informants was identified as relating to the knowledge management system itself, rather than other users, employees or groups in an organisation.Building trust, the KM-Professionals mainly focused on three methods: simple solutions, system superiority, and implementation security. Using these methods, the KM-Professionals seek to ensure system trust by creating opportunities for users to obtain positive experiences of using the system, and thereby generate a foundation for a trust-based relationship between the user and the system..

The mental health state of infants is an important field of knowledge to explore. Attachment between guardian and infant is of the utmost importance for the development of children. The questions we had were: What contains the concept early attachment between guardian and infant from a professional point of view? Which factors have influence on early attachment between guardian and infant? How do Professionals work with early attachment between guardian and infant? The essay is a qualitative study based on six interviews with two female district nurses, two female social welfare secretaries, a female psychologist and a female social worker.

The effectiveness of communication in the Swedish healthcare system context has long been the subject of debate. Issues stemming from usability, accessability and interpretation affect the lives of patients, and yet the vocal groups in the healthcare communication debate are patients and administrators, not healthcare Professionals. With the advent of eHealth services and new demands being put forth on the ability of healthcare Professionals' to handle increasingly numerous and innovative systems, it is of more importance than ever to understand the healthcare Professionals' work context. This article is based on interviews with five healthcare Professionals concerning their views on electronic health records (EHR), eHealth services, trends in healthcare services development in Sweden, as well as their views on the future of eHealth solutions and health information technology (HIT). Analysis of collected information shows an apprehension among healthcare Professionals towards electronic communication, as well as a dissatisfaction with the usability of modern healthcare systems.

When Professionals meet people from other cultures, there are some problematic issues that may appear, especially when considering human rights. Every individual has the right to live as they choose, and have the right to their own culture and traditions even if they have immigrated to another country. Female genital mutilation is a tradition that violates human rights. In this study we will look at what conflicts of values that Professionals can have while meeting clients who have been mutilated. We have made qualitative interviews with four Professionals working in a small town in Sweden in an area where many immigrants live.
