Aim: The aim was to investigate and describe, how students on high school level in Kronoberg county self rated their health with relation to irritation, Nervousness/anxiety insomnia and gender. An additional aim was to investigate if there are differences between students born in Sweden by Swedish parents, students born in Sweden by foreign-born parents and foreign-born students. Methods: A quantitative method was used to analyse data gathered from students (n=1936) on high school level in 2006. All statistical analyses were made with help of SPSS V-12. Finding: The findings showed that most of the students self rated their health as ?good?, however migrant students self rated their health as ?not so good? and they had more problems with insomnia. The overall findings showed gender differences. Particularly, foreign-born girls self rated their health as ?not so good? and reported more problems with insomnia. There was no divergence between the groups regarding irritation, Nervousness/anxiety. Conclusion: School nurses and health workers must have deep knowledge about differences in gender, self- rated health and insomnia when they work with public health.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att försöka förstå varför mentala problem vid ett framträdande i sång uppkommer samt att hitta lösningar till dessa. Bakgrunden till att jag vill skriva om detta är att jag under praktiker och arbeten med sångelever märkt att just mentala problem ofta hindrar människor från att bland annat framträda inför en publik. Dessutom känner jag mig själv hindrad av denna typ av problem vid framföranden. Mina frågeställningar har bland andra varit hur sångaren påverkas av sin nervositet och vad kritik spelar för roll. Självförtroende och självkänsla är förutom nervositet och kritik termer som dykt upp vid flertalet tillfällen under arbetets gång.

Title: Silence please: Silent students' thoughts on shyness and Nervousness in the classroom. This thesis deals with silent students' thoughts on shyness and Nervousness in the classroom. During this study I have been talking to silent students about their experiences of being silent. After a look at the literature on the subject of shyness I have found that there the perspective of the students is lacking. My study deals with three main questions: How do silent students describe their experience of their shyness? How do silent students describe the possible training regarding oral presentation that they may be able to get? And finally, how do silent students describe their possible needs of pedagogical support? In my study I have adopted a qualitative method, which is a method that mainly concerns interpretation of people's thoughts.

Denna uppsats syftar till att få insikt i hur några högskolestuderande på klassisk gitarr och klassiskt piano som spelar solo upplever en konsertsituation. Huvudfrågorna har varit: Vad känner de? Har de några problem/svårigheter och i så fall hur beskriver de upplevelsen av detta? Detta har undersökts genom kvalitativa intervjuer med fem musikhögskolestudenter. Resultatet visar på att samtliga informanter upplever att de delvis påverkas negativt av nervositet i samband med en konsert. Nervositeten yttrar sig bland annat genom "fjärilar i magen", svettningar och negativa tankar innan konserten som handlar om att man inte är tillräckligt förberedd, att det kommer gå dåligt och att man skall spela fel.

The choice of this method gave the information neededfor a perfect result.Interviews were conducted through personal meetings with active officers which alsoprovided the opportunity to ask follow-up questions and the respondents were given theopportunity to share their experiences.

Recept upptäcktes redan på 1600-talet fast i en annan skepnad än i dag, nuförtiden är recepten kortfattade och uppstrukturerade, det utnyttjar kallskänkor genom att utveckla en kod, de ser ingredienserna fort. Kallskänksyrket har funnits sedan 1900-talet men inte med samma innebörd och arbetsuppgifter. I arbetet finns en beskrivning av atmosfären i köket, personalens uppdelning och utbildningens kursplan.Syftet med studien var att utforska om kallskänkor arbetar med recept under matlagningen. Forskningsmetoden grundades på kvalitativa intervjuer. Arbetet bygger på mitt intresse för recept som blev starten för utformningen av den kvalitativa intervjuguiden som användes.Överlag skiftar användningen av recept, en del använder kokböcker medan andra förvarar grundrecepten i huvudet.

The purpose of our study is to find out how teachers can help their students to learn how to managestage fright. By interviewing high school teachers and high school students and also observe one oftheir classes, we wanted to find out how they think about the causes of stage fright and what youcan do to relieve it. We also wanted to find out how teachers are working to teach students how todeal with stage fright, and how they think that you also could work. As a teacher of music, among other things, the task is to assess and rate the students performancesin music. Several components are based on the students' courage to play on his or her instrument infront of other people.

Detta arbete syftar till att fördjupa kunskapen om hur violin- och violalärare kan arbeta för att ge sina elever som utövar klassik musik möjlighet att minimera stress och nervositet i samband med provspelning och konserttillfälle. I bakgrundskapitlet presenteras orsaker till samt förebyggande åtgärder för att hantera stress. Dessutom redogörs för musikdidaktiska perspektiv på instrumentalundervisning. Studien har genomförts med kvalitativ intervju som metod. Fyra lärare och musiker har intervjuats.

The essay investigates the visual element as seen by the audience and artist to be of greatest importance to a musicalperformance. The study was conducted in the form of a field work which included doing interviews with artists, surveys of the audience and interpretive observations of live performance. The fieldwork was conducted in three different environments in which I found myself on the spot and performed the various stages included in the field work. It was done to create a surface that could be used in an essay, and through that use this material to compare and analyze my results and in the end be able to answer my questions. I started from eight different factors which all could beexperienced visually on stage.

Detta arbetes syfte är att fördjupa kunskapen om den mentala förberedelsens betydelse inför musikaliska framträdanden bland konstmusikaliska blåsmusiker. Genom att undersöka hur professionella musiker agerar mentalt före, under och efter konserter är avsikten att isolera framgångsrika tankemönster och mentala strategier. I sökandet efter tidigare forskning och böcker fann jag att inte mycket forskning bedrivits på området. Jag har läst och sammanfattat ett antal böcker om vad nervositet beror på, samt olika mentala strategier för att hantera problematiken. Därefter har jag med kvalitativ intervju som metod intervjuat fyra professionella blåsmusiker i den konstmusikaliska genren.Ingen av de intervjuade ansåg sig använda några speciella mentala knep.

Continuous training, written information and repetition for patient and family throughout the hospital stay are of considerable importance to clarify that the patient understands and to reduce the anxiety of being discharged.AimThe aim is to describe nurses' experiences of caring for older women with myocardial infarction.MethodsA qualitative method was used. The collection of data was done by six interviews with nurses in geriatric care and elderly care. Dataset has been processed based on a content analysis and divided into subcategories and main categories using meaningful units.ResultsNot having knowledge of older women with myocardial infarction was expressed as frustrating and nurses described how they were afraid to ask their colleagues.

Studies show that children?s and adolescents health decreases, especially the mental health. There are today many health methods that flourish in the school area. Methods that is external and used as individual interventions and methods that have the intention to integrate health in all aspects of the school curriculum.Research on health projects often show what the intervention or method has produced. Few studies have been found who discuss the pupil?s own experience regarding health projects.

This thesis is a queer masculinity reading of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle?s short story collection The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes (1894). The analysis focuses on the dissonances, tensions and queerness that reside within the text itself. This has been done from my problem statement: How is Sherlock Holmes and John Watson?s sexuality and masculinity portrayed within the boundary of the text? What is being said, what is hidden, and what is dealt with silently? To reveal these queer parts this analysis has been focused around five themes: the late Victorian male, the Woman, countertypes and decadence, the homosocial sphere and sexuality.
